If I could give zero stars I would! I built my home with West End Construction in 2021, and…read moreunfortunately my experience after closing has been extremely disappointing. During our final blue tape/punch list walkthrough, there was a documented list of items that needed to be corrected before completion. Several of those items were never addressed, despite repeated attempts to contact the company by phone, email, and text while the home was still under warranty and in the years since. One of the most significant issues was the failure to install an electrical outlet under the kitchen sink for the garbage disposal. The disposal was installed, but it has never been usable because there is no power source. As a result, the sink frequently clogs. Another major issue was the failure to install a chimney cap. This allowed water to pour down the chimney and into the home, ultimately causing significant water intrusion and damage inside a bathroom wall. I had to pay over $2,000 out of pocket for repairs, as well as hire a roofer to install the chimney cap that should have been included from the beginning. Additionally, the kitchen countertops that were represented to be granite matching the bathroom countertops were instead installed as inexpensive laminate/Formica countertops. Other unfinished or unresolved items included: - Paint touch-ups throughout the home - Missing baseboards - Cracked shower tile - An HVAC closet vent that was supposed to be added for proper ventilation What has been most frustrating is the complete lack of communication. I made numerous attempts to have these issues addressed, especially during the warranty period, and never received a response. I understand that construction projects can have punch-list items, but homeowners should be able to expect follow-through, warranty support, and communication after closing. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.
