Family who just enjoyed a fabulous lunch together. We all have been going there for more than 50 years. We just love this classic place.

Great place for a reasonable priced meal . Pizza ice cold cocktails and bottle and tapped beers.

Solid food. The chicken nuggets were pretty good. It is standard but overall good meal.

The steak tips and onion and liver dish was so good. The pizza sauce is also super tasty. The portion is a bit on large side. So, plan to have left overs. The service is great and was able to accommodate our short time. The place is a bit rustic and inside feels like older dinner. Not impressive but comfortable place with a few TVs to watch games.

Very solid Italian food with a big menu. Have been in person a few times, but being close, we get take out a fair amount. I like the chicken rigatoni a lot and the lobster ravioli is solid as well.

We ordered to go on a Wednesday night. It was a great experience. We ordered by phone and the food was ready in about 20 min. It's cash only so be sure you have cash or use their ATM. Parking was easy since there was a parking lot. The pizza had a great flavor and great crust. It had just the right amount of cheese and the sauce is so good. The only thing to mention that could be a negative is the center is a pretty soft so the pizza is a little floppy-but the flavor is on point and it's overall a really really good pizza. The sausage was really complimented the pepperoni so well. We definitely made the right choice. The Buffalo wings were so so tasty. We probably should've ordered two orders. They were well sauced and moist. The cheesy garlic bread was okay. It's basically just bread and cheese. I think if we had like a marinara sauce to dip it in, it would've elevated the flavor. I definitely would recommend stopping into this pizza spot. Pizza and wings are a big hit. We will definitely be back!

Mushroom & pepperoni pizza, chicken Parm, cheesy garlic bread, corn

An old-fashioned restaurant in Newton right by Echo Bridge. I was excited to see cheesy garlic bread on the menu and decided to order takeout for dinner on the weekend. I ordered a pizza with mushroom and pepperoni, a chicken parm side cutlet, and cheesy garlic bread. The chicken parm cutlet was huge but reasonably sized for the price you are paying. It wasn't dry and the cheese was melted nicely onto the chicken. The cheesy garlic bread was slightly underwhelming even after re-toasting to get it crisp, but it made for a good vessel to hold the chicken parm in. The highlight of this meal was definitely the pizza. It wasn't anything fancy, but it was a good pizza. The crust and breading weren't skimpy thin or too thick. They followed through with our order of half cheese/half no cheese which was great and there was an abundant amount of our toppings requested. Overall, a filling dinner with leftovers for the next day, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come try this place out.

Awful food. It was slow, and there was no reason for the veal to be basically inedible. Never again

But they didn't bother to reply, so I hope this review helps someone avoid a bad experience. If you read the positive reviews on Google, I can now see that so many of them are fake. I was at Tartufo May 2026, to host a college graduation dinner for 20 people. I made the reservation a year in advance, as Tartufo was recommended on a Facebook group for parents whose kids attend this university. My experience with the staff and servers that night at Tartufo was inattentive, unprofessional, and fell well below the level of service any guest would expect. I had asked Tartufo months ahead of time if I could bring a cake for dessert and the woman answering the phone said I could and would be charged to slice it, which was fine. When I arrived early at the restaurant for the reservation. I went to the second floor where our tables were and was looked at blankly by staff--no greeting. I approached the woman who was later the server in charge of our two tables, Alexia (her name was printed on our receipt at the end of the night). I approached, greeted her, and asked if I could place the cake somewhere the graduates could see it. She simply said, "no" with no alternative solution offered other than putting the cake on the table where we'd be dining. I told her that wouldn't work as there would be no room on the table while dinner was served and we would figure it out later. Throughout the evening beverage service was virtually nonexistent. During the course of dinner, the servers did not ask guests if they wanted even a first drink--guests had to try to flag down a server to get a soda, iced tea or alcoholic drink. I had one glass of wine that night and wanted another, but staff weren't checking in on guests at all. This continued throughout the night with guests having empty glasses. Water glasses were often left empty and not refilled. As the host of a large celebration dinner, it was embarrassing to have guests repeatedly searching for staff to obtain basic beverage service. At one point, an appetizer, tuna tartar, was brought to the table. We told the server no one ordered it. Despite this, the server left this appetizer on the table, and we were charged, and paid, for something no one ordered. When the cake was served, servers did not ask any guests if they wanted coffee or tea. One guest approached a server for coffee, and it took a very long time for the coffee to arrive; we thought it had been forgotten. I asked Alexia if staff offered coffee/tea to everyone, and she said that if they ask for it then they would serve it. I consider this approach very poor customer service. Alexia was not pleasant at all during the night and answered any question curtly and flatly. As the night progressed, the staff increasingly made the diners feel that we were not welcome at the restaurant. The dining experience was embarrassing and very disappointing and I would not recommend this restaurant at all. Their staff needs training on what customer service is.

However, I don't know that it lived up to the hype that I anticipated. We got the pizza Bianca with ricotta with hot honey, which was basically just like plain toasted focaccia and ricotta (wasn't anything to write home about). The taleggio was 100% our least favorite and we didn't even finish half. We had asked the waiter to describe taste profile, which they said was a "little funky" and had asked for clarification if it was closer to blue cheese. Once it arrived, it was like a verrrrrry strong/stinky Brie on the inside. The balsamic didn't really contribute to the taste at all. Sad that we didn't like this/kinda made me feel yucky after eating. The cavatelli was very good- nice light creamy sauce with the sausage and bitter broccolini. Very well balanced. Forgot to take a pic of the tiramisu but it was good, too! It's kinda salty (they add sea salt to the top). Drink menu was limited. Had two different glasses of red wine but wish they had something more full bodied on the menu!

With excellent pizza, service and a great cocktail and wine menu, everything they offer is excellent. We have been only a few times mainly because this place gets so jam packed that it is hard to get a table. Small, quaint and cute neightborhood gem. You can tell all the locals flock to this place every weekend. The bar is also perfect to grab a quick bite and it is first come first serve. Move over Tatte because this Spiced Carrot Soup was phenomenal. And, I mean it. From asking the owner to "how do I make this at home" to practically wanting to order another bowl. And, don't get me started on their homemade foccacia bread that came with it. Every dunk of this bread into the luscious soup had me craving more and more. Best part, I was actually full. Hallelujah! All I have to say is head to Jinny's for their pizza, but don't forget they have a whole menu to choose from as well. And, everything tastes great and is nice and fresh. You will definitely stay awhile eating and drinking here at this cozy spot. Cheers~

One of the very best pizza spots in and around Newton!…read more The dough is amazing. It's soft and pillowy, just how I like my crust. Everything is fired in a wood oven, that you can get a full view of in the open concept kitchen. Seating is pretty limited, but in the summer there are a few outdoor tables. It's a great spot for take out as well, although parking can be a challenge at peak times. The pizza is a smaller size and runs north of $20. It's worth it, but more for the artisan pizza taste and quality. This likely isn't the place you're going to buy 10 pizzas for the SuperBowl, but if you're looking for high quality ingredients and the perfect dough, this is your spot. The available specialty pizzas are great combinations of flavors. I think they even do one with pineapple, as controversial as that is for some people. I saw the Rosso Pie online, but not on the menu when I went to dine-in. The friendly waiter was more than happy to request it for me from the kitchen. Sometimes I like a pie with no cheese on it. Difficult to find great pizza in MA, but this place fits the bill. Great pizza, great people.
