    Is this a large slice?

we always ordered from Pete's pizza. When the kids have bdays or we have get together. We ordered a large cheese today for pickup and either they shrunk or he gave us a small. When I asked him about it he insisted it was a large and the next size up was family style. Umm, since when? I have my kid with me and don't want to make a big fuss because he isn't backing down. I always want to support my local places but this was a small.

**BUT*** I'm sad to say I won't be returning to Peter's again after being a regular customer over the past year. The pizza is great (tho the large is really a medium). The Greek salad is good (also way too small though). The reason that I'm not returning is that I was in there recently and suddenly noticed a wall I'd never seen. It was a wall covered in photos of presumably the owner showcasing all of his many kills as a hunter. There are so many reasons why this is in poor taste not the least of which is upsetting little kids. My kid would be devastated to see him standing proudly over the ZEBRA he killed with his rifle in hand. Just not a good decision. Given how faded they are, I'm sure the photo has been there for years. It's pretty inappropriate in my opinion. Will be sorry to not have Peter's Pizza again.

This is a wall in Peter's that showcases the owner and his dozens of African big game hunts, is he the next Dentist you decide

The food is fine however I can't get over the photos of the owners pleasure hunts in Africa that were on the walls until the dentist. zebra Gazelles lions moose bears ....ohh my I lost my appetite!!! He must realize the error of his ways the photos have been removed however the stains on the wall remain

Amazing pizza. Cheese Pepperoni and extra cheese on top,...

Flounder two HUGE pieces and a ton of fries. I requested tartar sauce, it would have been nice to have a small coleslaw, but did come w/ a small salad. chicken cutlet sub came with four pieces of (real) chicken and a huge amount of penne, pasta salad with olives, tomatoes, and fresh broccoli. We also got a tuna sub, which didn't actually get eaten until the next day. I was so full with a lot of food just want to let people know when they're ordering the portions generous! I did also have some requirements and they listen to my notes which is always appreciated. If I had to offer one critique, I would change the tomato sauce on the chicken cutlet to be less chunky and more sauce like it maybe add some olive oil or garlic or something. It wasn't lackluster, but It could've been a smidge better. ( that would have changed you from a 4 star to a 5 star.

A Hidden Gem in Wellesley…read more La Toscana's offers a lot more than its facade may suggest. Under the direction of a wonderful new chef, La Toscana's shows what elevated Italian cuisine can be like when care is emphasized from start to finish. We chose to have a milestone birthday celebration at La Toscana's because we had gone there a few weeks prior and were thoroughly impressed. We started the evening with a variety of appetizers including stuffed zucchini flowers, meatballs, and Caesar salads. The stuffed zucchini flowers were an instant favorite at the table-- hot, filled with rich, delicate ricotta, and crunchy on the outside. The meatballs were large, fluffy, perfectly seasoned, and accompanied by the elegant house marinara sauce. The Caesar salad was light and delicious with the welcome addition of sundried tomatoes. We then shared two excellent pizzas-- the margherita for the adults and a cheese for the kids. Both were notable for a crispy thin crust, perfect blend of sweet and tangy marinara, and perfectly balanced cheese. If this weren't great enough, the house-made pasta exceeded expectations. The chef makes the pasta daily and then creates the different types to order right before your very eyes-- in the window of the restaurant. With care and precision, he measures and cuts creating pappardelle, agnolotti, and tortello. Stand-out dishes at the table included the ricotta-filled agnolotti served with a decadent mushroom cream sauce. The pappardelle Bolognese was incredible with the perfect bite to the pasta and a flavorful and balanced meat sauce. The gnocchi with pesto creme is also another dish not to be missed. If you are fortunate enough to strike up a conversation with the chef, you will learn amazing insights into how he thinks about pasta and its preparation as well as his journey to Wellesley. It's a great story! We will certainly be coming back and hope to celebrate more great dinners at La Toscana's.

I ordered the Bourbon Steaktips Tortellini -- tender bourbon-marinated steak tips served over cheese tortellini in a rich truffle cream sauce with spinach and red peppers, topped with shaved parmesan and toasted garlic bread. Service was excellent from start to finish, and our waitress was attentive and friendly all night. They also have a very solid beer list -- seeing Maine Beer Co. Peepers on tap was a nice bonus. Still, this was world's better than my cooking, so I'll be back to other things on the menu. And, the people who work here are lovely. It makes the entire experience enjoyable.
