$40 for two "Chicken" Cesar Salad wraps (with a side of the tinest bag of lays chips ever). Chicken in quotes because it was absolutely over cooked and so dry that no amount of dressing on the wrap helped. Also, because there were 3x as many croutons in the wrap than chicken...almost a 1:1 crouton to lettuce ratio in the wrap. It was like a bread wrap with some dry chicken and a bit of lettuce. Even the wrap was made pourly. It was very loosely assembled, fell apart after the first bite, and the paper it was wrapped in was all folded into the wrap itself. Really a terrible lunch. read more

I was hoping the reviews were wrong about this place, and the person who took my order at the counter was so nice - but everything else was a miss. My order: a turkey sub with lettuce, tomato, here, green pepper, black olive and mayo. It was all correct except it had ketchup instead of mayo... no idea how that got mixed up. The bread was super dry... like needed soda to wash it down sort of dry, even with the mayo. Pizza that my husband and friend got was super salty, rubbery nasty cheese and blackened - just not good. Always consistent; there's nothing different about it no matter how many times I order it and I love that about it. The half size (pictured) is considered a small, and it comes with a side of marinara sauce and blue cheese for anyone out there who loves to dip your food into some kind of sauce. That would be me. I love to dip my food into sauce. Especially multiple ones if possible. This calzone + 2 sauces to dip into?! Music to my ears. The half size is plenty for two people. I always have leftovers when I order it for myself. Their Chicken Cesar wrap was loaded with croutons, chicken, and lettuce. It could use a litttttle more dressing (but that's only because I love my wraps when the lettuce is nearly swimming in dressing). It comes with a pickle and bag of chips. Deeeeelish! The food is ok but you have to pay for utensils and the container the hot sauce comes in. It was prompt. Laid back quiet they had on Youtube. But if it cost for plastic utensils and to get hot sauce they put it in a container and charged me personally will avoid eating in Newton,Ma. If it's a city ordinance it will eventually hurt the business here. I went into another establishment to check on this ordinance and was told there is no fee for utensils. So I must apologize to the city of Newton and put these actions on Bills Pizzeria. I will not be returning here. read more

Bill's Pizzeria is on the DoorDash DashPass, and is one of the better pizza options in the Brighton area on the app. We ordered the Large Chicken Fajita Pizza. The total came to $22.81 before a driver tip. The chicken is well seasoned and not tough. The jalapeños make it enjoyably spicy, but not too spicy. I went here with a few of my friends and we had a really fun time just hanging out and enjoying the pizza with each other. The pizzas themselves were all quite good, with my favorite being the Sweet Baby Thai's because it was pretty unique and interesting compared to other pizzas that I've had. The service was also great. We were a big party (7 people in total) but the food still came out in a timely manner, and the man at the front desk was very patient and friendly while we all decided what to order. read more

This review is only about their "North shore beef." It's wrong on almost every level. They don't have onion rolls, they use extra thick bbq sauce (and sparingly), the beef is dry and gray. They got the American cheese right! Gets 2 stars because it wasn't bad enough to throw out altogether. But honestly Arby's is better than this. I ordered an Italian sub TOASTED in the oven. When I got home the bread was cold and not toasted. I called and the guy I was given to talk to was arrogant. He checked with his employee and he toasted it I was told. Well the bread was cold and mushy. He was unrelenting and didn't offer to make it right. This was the best place in the past but this owner needs a lesson in customer service and making food as ordered. This was my last time ordering from them. I'll wait for another owner. At this rate it shouldn't be long. Edit: in response to Dean who decided to call me and yell at me on the phone, I live 5 minutes away or less. I'm very familiar with the food industry. Instead of berating me on the phone, maybe you should start with "I'm sorry you had a poor experience today. Could I explain what happened?" Sad for $$$ crappy food at @billspizzeria Newton (do you know what a #gyro is vs. souvlaki?). In the end, all was good mostly ( WAY too many people in big groups in #newton). Lack of masks. Not impressed with their customer service or the prices paid and the fact a gyro is not souvlaki. Totally fine tuna sub for the boy. Same for the girl with a REAL gyro. I ordered chicken gyro plate- it was not gyro, it was souvlaki and not cheap. Salad which the staff said had no green peppers coated in them. No napkins or utensils brought. Paid $36 and no use of bathroom for my kid w autism. Wow. (They are also open for indoor dining). Fries were fine, salad had more olives than I have ever seen and was not greek as you might think. Used to be our favorite spot but within the last year or so they have made some changes to the food that has us left shaking our heads. First the Caesar dressing was changed from a thin, yellow to a chunky white, and now the pizza sauce has been changed to something not good with a little spice. Bill's has a hip vibe and great options. I shared the Ultimate Buffalo sandwich with my girlfriend for lunch (buffalo chicken cutlet, romaine, tomato on ciabatta--no blue cheese). It was kind of small for the price, which was noticeable when our friend got a chicken Caesar wrap for the same price that was double the size. The bread was crispy and delicious, as was the buffalo sauce and toppings and crispy breaking. My main complaint other than the size was that my chicken was pretty veiny. Also, they didn't call names very loudly to pick up our order so we had to periodically go to the counter to check. Service could have been a bit better, although it was a busy day. This place is either a hit or miss. I usually order from here when I'm at work. I ordered a small spanakopitsa pizza and a Greek salad. The pizza was really dry and the Greek salad hardly had any feta and the lettuce was wilted and not fresh at all. What really made them lose more stars is that after getting it delivered which I did receive fast, I had a phone call from the restaurant after the delivery boy had left just to ask me why I didn't tip.
