I will be honest that I was very hestiant to shop at EchoPark based on the reviews I saw online. However, we had a completely different experience than what I read here and want to give them the credit they are due! When I arrived, I was met by Haley and she was wonderful! I let her know that I didn't have much time but that I wanted to look at the car, get a value for my trade and get an out the door number as soon as possible. I went to look at the car while she started the valuation on the trade and getting the numbers I requested. I appreciated that she gave me space to look at the car without hovering over me the entire time. I was able to call my husband and talk through things with him without feeling like I was being watched (we all know the feeling at other dealerships). They took about 25 minutes to get the value for my trade (very quick!) and then we had the numbers I was needing and I was headed back home within about an hour and 15 minutes total. I came back that evening with my husband to purchase the car. We were able to send over some information in the meantime so the paperwork was ready for us when we arrived. Haley was quick, professional, and very helpful with any questions we had. If you're hesitant about shopping here, don't be! In my 37 years on earth, I have never encountered a car dealer so intent on not taking my money. It was really almost Twilight Zone weird. So I have an appointment, right? My wife had discussed 4 different vehicles with a rep ahead of time. Get there and the "phone rep" and in person salesperson are different people. That's fine. It's the digital age. I get it. Except that whatever notes they have on the computer only list one car because "that's all it has room for" and that one car juuuuust got sold (right), but we can look at the other 3. But then we have to figure which vehicles those were all over again. Frustrating, but ok. We want a car. Oh, but we can only drive two of the three, because they are understaffed, despite the 5 people behind the desk alone just having a conversation, and that somehow means they can only check out 2 cars per person. So if I want the 3rd, I can't test drive it. Uhhh ok, well I know which way I'm leaning so I can cross one off I guess, whatever. Anyways, the salesperson grabs 3 sets of keys. I was looking for some engagement here - someone to talk to use about the vehicles, ask questions to, etc. Nope. She hands us 3 sets of keys, tells us 2 are on the left, 1 on the right, go check them out yourselves. Really starting to feel...unwelcome? Like an annoyance? I decide to roll with it anyways since we took the effort to come out. Inspect two vehicles, but cannot find the 3rd for the life of me. Walk the whole lot, come back in, find our rep, ask her if she could come out with us to find it. She legitimately just tells us to make another lap, maybe it's around the corner. I just kind of stand in shock for a moment, but ok, I head back out to sell myself this car I guess. But it's nowhere. Just me walking around for 20 more minutes hitting the button on the keys, going row by row, through the whole place. There isn't even a car matching the description. At this point, I'm frustrated and go back inside to once again ask for some help, except she is gone. Really, all the salespeople had cleared out except one helping a family with paperwork. I just stand in the lobby, holding 3 sets of keys, with nobody to even give them to so that we can leave. Someone finally comes out of the back after 5 minutes. I put the keys on the desk, tell him we have no idea where our rep is, but here are the keys and we are leaving. On the way out, I tell him that just a little more engagement would have been nice here. He tells me he understands. And that's it. Nothing else. So we left. Just like...do yall not want my money? I wasn't trying to haggle. There wasn't really even much of a conversation. Is this like a self-service dealership where you just pick a car and leave? Just such a weird and off putting experience. With all that said, save yourself some time and move on to the next spot. Unfortunately I did not have the great experience that many others here describe. My sales representative was very helpful, but when it came time to finalize the deal, everything fell apart after about three hours because the manager and I could not come to an agreement. Before driving an hour to the dealership, I asked for a trade in estimate over the phone. They refused and said I had to come in person, even though CarMax and Carvana had no problem giving me offers remotely. I also asked about interest rates and was told they started around 4.9 percent. I explained that my credit score is 832 and was told I should qualify for the lowest rates. After sitting there for hours, the manager initially offered me 18,000 for my trade in, even though Carvana had already offered me 20,700. After haggling, he did raise the offer to 19,000, but it was still below what I could get elsewhere. At the same time, they quoted me a 7.5 percent interest rate, which is hard to justify with top tier credit. I called my cousin, who has been a general manager at multiple dealerships, and his finance manager confirmed I should be around 5 percent in the current market. When I questioned the dealership about the rate, they told me I could refinance after six months. My cousin explained that waiting that long allows them to keep their lender kickback. They also tried to charge me $899 dollars for a coating they had already put on the car, which felt completely unnecessary and a complete ripoff up sale that they apparently hit every single customer with. My final offer to them was simple. Give me $20,000 for my trade which was reasonable given the Carvana offer I received and the Kelly Blue Book coming in above $20,000 for trade and I asked for 6% interest rate which a bank will 100% give with and 830 credit score and we have a deal. The manager said no, so I walked. Overall, my experience was very disappointing. The trade in value was low, the interest rate was inflated due to them not wanting to give up the lender kickback, and unnecessary add ons were just annoying. While I was there, I listened to other deals happening and noticed many buyers seemed focused only on the monthly payment, not the total cost. By the time everything is added up, people can end up paying significantly more than they realize. They also push gap insurance and extended warranties very aggressively. My advice is to shop elsewhere especially if you have a trade in, the manager seemed extremely annoyed at the fact that my cousin who has over 30 years of experience in the industry wasn't buying his BS. They also offered an additional $500 bonus if I committed to selling within 48 hours, which is why I moved quickly. Before driving anywhere, I called EchoPark and asked their agent directly whether the offer was real. I was told it might come down by a couple hundred dollars after inspection, but I would be getting paid close to the quoted amount. That was good enough for me to commit. Based on that written offer and verbal confirmation, I drove from Philadelphia to the Virginia Beach location -- roughly 12 hours of driving round trip, plus gas and tolls -- inside the 48-hour bonus window. At the lot, their technician inspected the car and identified some issues. Fair enough -- that's why the agent on the phone said the price might drop a couple hundred. But instead of honoring anything close to the original offer, EchoPark walked it back almost entirely and essentially told me the car wasn't worth buying. Here is the problem: the issues their technician found are normal wear on a 2012 vehicle. EchoPark's own system generated the $5,163 offer knowing exactly what year, trim, and VIN they were quoting. If that number was wrong, that is EchoPark's appraisal failure -- not a reason to drag a seller 12 hours across state lines and then refuse to honor it. What I'd want other sellers to know: 1. The online offer is not a real commitment, even when an agent confirms it over the phone. 2. The 48-hour bonus is bait to get you to drive immediately, before you have time to shop the offer elsewhere. 3. "Minor condition issues" will be used to justify almost any walk-back, regardless of what was promised. I would have respected an honest "we can take $200-$300 off for these issues, here is your check." Instead it was a full bait-and-switch. Recently purchased a Toyota Camry from the dealership. I was a little skeptical in the beginning a friend of mine purchased a car from them. They advertise $1500-$3000 less than Carmax and Carvana sure enough the Camry that I was looking at was exactly $3200 cheaper than the cheapest Camry of comparable year and mileage but would shock me less I was able to get a XLE model and a hybrid two options. I definitely did not plan on getting for the exact same price. My Salesman was great. It was a very easy process. They do have a ancillary addition of a Perma plate protection package is mandatory however even adding that to my deal still gave me a vehicle $2600 cheaper than Carmax and Carvana. Their finance team was probably the best that I've ever dealt with and didn't deal with lol I never saw any of the finance people, however I was going to use my own finance company, but they saved me an additional 2% on top of what I was going to already get I walked away with a car payment under $300 for less than 60 months which is unheard of in 2025 thank you, Echo Park I was also contacted by a lady named Kim their guest loyalty supervisor to make sure everything was fine after the sale so many more positive things that I've ever happened with Carmax I have purchased cars from Carvana and Carmax in the past I must say I like their model a lot better you guys have earned my business and my future business read more

Great price on the vehicle! Worst car buying experience EVER. I had a cashier's check for the vehicle. I sat in the dealership in Nashville for 2-1/2 hours for them to get the paperwork done. There was NO financing. The only hiccup was I wanted to buy it through my business. 2-1/2 hours!!! Just sitting. Waiting. Backstory: I spotted this vehicle online and contacted them via the Car Gurus site/app. Alex from somewhere in internet world contacted me back and was helpful. I told him I'd be in to the Nashville store a few days later and if it was still for sale, I'd give it a test drive. I did this. It drove fine. This is when I was introduced to Hailey, my in store rep. I told her I'd be in touch. Now fast forward 6 days later, a Friday about 10am. I live about 2 hours from Nashville. And I was unable to come in that day or the following Saturday. So I wanted to put down a deposit to hold it until the following Monday. I called the dealership. Hailey was not available. "You can't put deposit down on this vehicle." said rando fella who answered the phone. He gave me no other explanation. I reached out to Alex from the internet world. Alex was responsive. He told me he'd do some checking. He did. About five hours later he instructed me to go online to do this. I do exactly that, except utilizing their online version I am only able to purchase the vehicle using my personal name, not my business name. There is no option for it. Regardless, I sallied forward, convinced they'd be able to change that. In the mean time Hailey had text me mid afternoon. Upon making my deposit online I alerted both her and Alex to my conundrum regarding titling it in my company name. Also I reminded them, I was two hours away and needed to go to the bank to get a cashier's check drawn, since the dealership would take no other payment except a DEBIT card. Yeah. Could they get me the final price and any other info I'd need? I told them I wanted desperately to be able to stop in, drop off the check and pick up the vehicle. I'd done exactly this on every vehicle purchase I'd made for my business. They wanted me to make an appointment for Monday. I told them noon. A commercial tag is more expensive than a personal tag. So I knew the final amount online was incorrect. It would be MORE. I asked several times via text. I would never get a response. I would call the dealership starting at 8am Monday morning, I called the corporate help line trying to get a firm, final price including the tax title and tags. They all had to take a message. At 9:30 my ride showed up to take me to Nashville. I still hadn't heard from anyone except Hailey who asked what state I was in? So I went with the original price for the cashier's check, picked up a company check in case they'd take that for the difference and made sure my DEBIT card was in my wallet. Approximately an hour into the ride Nick(I think), the finance guy called. I explained my predicament, and how it was a bit late since I've been on the road for an hour, but what is the price? It was fully $2000.00 MORE than what I'd written! I gasped and told Nick the amount I had minus the $500 dollar deposit and Nick said "Oh yeah, that's the amount! My mistake. That's on me." Like wtf? Then Nick did more calculating and told me the car was going to actually be $40 less. "But don't worry, we'll cut you a check for that." How could it be LESS? I'm getting corporate tags!!! And btw they didn't cut me a check. But that's not all! When I get to the dealership Hailey, a very pleasant young lady, greeted me with a smile and announced that in order to register the car in my business name, I would need my ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION!!!! I would also need my insurance card, and the list of covered drivers. The Articles were VERY difficult to ascertain, but I pleaded and begged and got them by 1pm. I visited EchoPark about a month ago to get my car appraised. When I returned later and asked if the appraisal was still valid, they assured me it was. They told me that if I came back the next day with the proper paperwork, they'd honor the original appraisal amount. Well, I came back the very next day--just like they told me to--and suddenly they claimed they couldn't honor the appraisal anymore. They dropped the offer by $1,500 with no good explanation. The good: My son and I were able to purchase what appears to be a reliable vehicle at an acceptable price. The bad: Our salesperson initially offered a small price concession (discount) to gain our commitment to buy. However, by the time the paperwork was ready for signing, this discount had disappeared, and his explanation showed him to be a liar. I hate liars. By this time, we'd had so much time into the process that we had no choice but to bite the bullet. The ugly: This dealership held us captive for a whopping 4.5 HOURS as we tried to complete the transaction. Absolutely abusive and unacceptable. Word to the wise: This dealer's pricing worksheet is loaded with add-on fees. There's a $699 detailing fee, and another $699 processing fee. Then you start looking at the overpriced extended warrantee options, which they make it difficult to decline. Finally, if you run your financing through them, please be aware that they manipulate the interest rate to try to steer you into buying their extended warrantee. This is a very shady practice. I purchased a 2021 Alfa Romeo Giulia from EchoPark Nashville about a year ago, and this has been the single worst car-buying experience I've ever had. From the very beginning, there were issues. The car was scraped in their parking lot before I bought it, and although I was told the damage would be properly repaired, the work was sloppy at best. The sales team agreed to fix the damages because the scratches were not listed nor shown on the listing and assured me someone on site must have scraped it. After nearly two weeks of waiting, I got the car back with rough, bumpy paint and overspray all over the windshield, making it unsafe to drive. When I voiced my concerns, I was told "this is all we can do" since nothing was in writing... even though the damage clearly happened on-site. It took multiple trips back and forth to get the overspray addressed, the scratches mostly repaired, and during this time I was essentially without a usable vehicle for nearly a month. To make matters worse, I was promised a check to help cover expenses for the time I couldn't drive the car. That check was never mailed. When I asked about it much later, a receptionist confirmed there was a note from October saying a check was available for pickup. When we followed up, we were told by Kim (who had originally made the promise) that no such agreement was ever made. The level of gaslighting and dishonesty was astonishing. On top of all this, EchoPark forces add-ons like Permaplate, which are not included in the online listing price. These were positioned as "non-optional" after the fact, leaving me with no choice but to pay for them. Between the half-finished repairs, the broken promises, the forced add-ons, and the outright dishonesty from staff, this dealership operates with little integrity. Went here to sell my car because I am moving overseas for several years. I was referred to this location through an online website that gave me multiple "offers" on my car and EchoPark had the highest by about $500 more than the next offer. I set an appointment online but never received a email response, so I decided to just go in when they opened at 0900. The sales associate who was asked to help did not seem to excited that he was picked out of the 8 people sitting around but quickly got to work evaluating my vehicle. After about an hour and a vehicle inspection, they agreed to the online offer and started the paperwork process. They explained that it could take another 45 minutes for the check to get drafted and approved. After everything was done, it took a total of 2 hours but I received exactly what I was offered online (joinyaa.com/sell) and had minimal issues with the entire process. 3 stars strictly because it took so long, last place I sold my other car took a total of 15 minutes, also during the evaluation process they did not tell me they would be driving my car and they just drove off, I did not mind that much but that is something you should at least let someone know about. read more

They worked with me, gave me all the best options, let me test drive the car multiple times and while trying to sell it (which is normal!) they were not pushy. Their vehicles are fairly priced for the market and while it is not openly a haggle-friendly place, they will work with you to find the right vehicle and the right deal. SCAM! These folks sold me a 2021 with a replaced, busted catalytic converter. LIED about a 190 point inspection, which includes the exhaust system. I purchased an additional $4700 PLATINUM WARRANTY and guess what isn't covered? Seems like the catalytic converter was stolen (probably from ECHOPARK MECHANICS) and replaced with rusted out crap. Less than 12 months later I have a $5000 repair and a car that doesn't run. Of course I still have to make the payments...including payments for the warranty. I brought my wife and daughter to get her first car before she moved out of state and the experience at this dealership was horrible. She wanted to look at a used Corolla they had advertised for 18k. They gave her 3k for her Honda but when it came to see the breakdown of the cost for the car, it was almost 26k even with her trade. They tacked on a bunch of fees and almost 2k for some protectant the car had. My wife told them she did not want it, but they insisted that it is already included with every car. Of course, this was not disclosed before we wasted 3 hours. My wife took the day off of work as the man at the dealership stated that the price was "rock bottom" and "no haggle". I've been buying cars for thirty years and the "no haggle" crap is dealerships saying they won't move off of their price. DO NOT go to this dealership. RIDICULOUS! Funny thing is I got an appointment reminder this morning 30 minutes before we got there, but didn't mention it sold. But somehow that mysterious "call" didn't come thru!! Perhaps it was my own ignorance that got me into trouble, but when you go into a shop, the salesmen are the experts and to a certain extent, you have to trust them. They added so many extra charges without me realizing until I looked at my loan weeks later when I got the info in the mail. $7k of extra charges. I had to call and email several times to grasp some understanding before I was able to talk to someone. I went to cancel said charges and they gave me some bs about only being able to cancel some and part of this was dependent in the lender. The only thing I like out of this whole experience is my car. I sold my car here. Got a quote online and then took it in to get a final appraisal, they honored their online quote. (My car was in near pristine condition with regular oil changes as verified by the carfax) everyone was pretty friendly, and unfortunately I forgot the woman's name who was helping me but she checked in with me consistently while I waited in the lobby for all the final paperwork and quote. This was my biggest compliment and reason I would come back is because of the fact I wasn't just left in the lobby for hours on end. Now with that said, the process after appraisal took a bit longer than I would have liked. You would have thought I was buying a car at a big dealership. I believe I was there for about 3-3.5 hours which isn't too crazy and this was my first time selling my car non private-party but I definitely was hoping it would have been quicker. Other than that I have no complaints as the process was very straightforward and simple. Once I got there, they told me that they thought it was a full sized cab(mine is a regular sized). EVEN WITH ALL THE PICTURES AND VIN NUMBER(it was obviously a lie, they thought I needed the money i guess) and that they could only offer $6000 now.. and that was the best anyone was going to give me, so I should take it. I told them I couldn't go that low (a truck that would be turned around and sold for $18,000-$22,000 according to similar listings they had) 2013 f-150 5.0 longbed 80k miles remote start, sync, etc. Just painting the picture for you. $9,388 is low but I was ok with that price, $6,000 is outright preying on people that are in a pinch. ANYWAYSSS I went to Carmax and they gave me $9,000 exactly without any hassle or trying to get more money out of me using obvious tactics taught in intro to sales classes. GO TO CARMAX, avoid this SCAM of a business at all costs in fact go ANYWHERE before here. They will try to pressure you (had 3 different employees tell me it was a good deal) salesman, adjuster, and finally the manager.. WASTED TWO HOURS OF MY TIME AFTER LURING ME THERE WITH A FRAUDULENT OFFER. read more

Purchased a Lexus at their Nashville location 3 months ago. First off.. sales person added all of these extended warranties- which have turned out to be absolutely worthless (more on this later), and some paint/dent protection. At the end of the sale, he handed me a permaplate cleaning kit for the interior and exterior of the car, and said "here is your complimentary gift for being a valued customer" I thought, 'well that was nice of them!' Turns out that "complimentary gift" cost nearly $600. I chalked it up to me being an idiot and not looking at the paperwork I signed - even though I was never told about this. So I get in the car and I notice my rear passenger window tint is all scratched up. I brought this up and the sales manager he said the person taking the sales sticker off of the window scratched the window tinting and apologized. He then said they would fix it. Figured they'd do that right then.... Well that didn't happen. Rather, I was told to "go take it to get fixed and then call us when you are at the place and we will pay for it with a credit card over the phone. Went to go get the window tint fixed, and called the number as instructed. No one answered, so I had to pay for the fix myself. Left a message to get reimbursed. Never heard back from them. Only 4 days after purchasing the car won't start. Turns out it was a dead/defective battery. Figured this would be one of the things they would have checked in their "thorough 20 point inspection all of our vehicles". Apparently they must have skipped this 'point of inspection'. Figured a battery would be something that they'd check during the inspection as it seems like a common thing that would go wrong. But I digress. Whatever. Batteries die. They replaced it for me. Well after just 3 months of driving, the car died as I was on my way home, leaving me stranded on the side of the road. I thought, "well good thing I have the extended warranty. The salesperson said it covers everything, and I'll be taken care of" so I called the dealership in Nashville. They said I needed to call the warranty company as they don't handle service issues. I gave the extended warranty company a call expecting them to help. Not at all the case. I was told that I'd have to call a tow company myself, and depending on who I use, they may reimburse me up to $100. I asked the lady 'well who do I use so I can make sure I get reimbursed?' She responded, 'well I don't see any tow companies in your area, (which is odd because not once did she ask me where I was) so you'll have to find one on your own, but save your receipts, so you can submit a claim for possible reimbursement' At this point I'm just beyond frustrated, and stuck on the side of the road because of a broken down car I JUST purchased 3 months ago from them. But complaining isn't going to change my situation so I asked "well where do I tow my car to in order to get it fixed". The lady responded, "you can take it to an authorized repair place, and depending on where you take it, we can cover the costs of the repair" I told her I need some authorized repair places near me and she said, "well just a licensed shop around you, I don't have a list" Frustration. I then asked about a rental car, as I was told by the sales person that this "complete car coverage" also covered a rental car.... The lady on the phone said, "depending on the situation, and which car you rent, we may reimburse you up to $40 a day for up to 10 days for a car rental" At this point, I'm beyond pissed. Getting absolutely NO help from Echo park or the warranty (that I paid thousands of dollars for).... So I call Lexus directly. They immediately send a complimentary tow truck, who picks me and my car up and takes us to the Lexus dealership directly. Once there, they work on getting me a loaner car, and tell me that since my car has only 30k miles, my repairs will likely be covered by the manufacture warranty. Lesson learned. NEVER... and I mean NEVER buy car from EchoPark. And if for some reason, you feel the need to.... for God's sake REFUSE the extended warranties( Which they won't even tell you about, and will just try to sneak in on you). These warranties are absolutely worthless and a complete waste of money. I can't speak for all EchoPark locations, but the Nashville dealership is shady and horrible. Deceptive Pricing and Financing went there for a car that the price was 20,500... Wanted to buy the car with $11,000 down payment, or we would have paid fully however, they said they didn't take checks and said our bank probably wouldn't allow a large purchase with an ATM card.. When they came back with a very summarized finance with the 11,000 they said the payment for 66 months would be $400 a month, meaning the full price of the car would've been $33,000. we insisted on getting what they included in the pricing and found there's a nonnegotiable $900 fee for a product we didn't want and $3100 towards a warranty we didn't want. We asked to have those taken off in the manager said we had to take one or the other. I asked how a 20500 car with financing in excellent credit turned into a $33,000 car.. They wouldn't show us the actual percentage they used but as a comparison buying a car at a nearby Nissan with $11,000 in the car was 22500. The monthly payment was $190. Therefore in their financial packaging, they wouldn't reveal to us about $200 a month more in price. I pointed out that for the same model car brand new at the local dealership was 25, 250. Why would we buy a used car with 40,000 miles on it then have to buy a warranty and it would be the same amount as if I bought a brand new 2025 model from the dealership which would have a warranty. And 0 miles, I have never been to a dealer where they couldn't give you the breakdown upfront for financing. Thus they were using some hidden tactics to try to show people a monthly payment, but not reveal all the expenses they were putting into the car. Often people don't have enough money to purchase a car outright, so by deceptive financing the car price is much more than the low price they advertise that keeping people in bondage of monthly payments. read more

Avoid this dealer!!! They are bait and switch scammers. I saw a truck online that I was interested in. I texted with a salesperson and asked for a OTD price. They kept insisting I needed to come in so they could appraise my trade. I told them to assume it's perfect, what would they give me for an out the door price. They refused to tell me. I then called. I was disconnected. I called back. I finally spoke to the person who I was texting. They were very rude and kept insisting I come I'm. Eventually they hung up on me. Another person called me back who was much nicer and we agreed to a number that would make the deal happen. I drove in. Lo and behold, the vehicle I'd been talking to them about for 4 hours "just sold". Ok, fine. I'll play their game. What else do you have? The salesman found a comparable trick that was actually cheaper than the one they "just sold". When he ran numbers it was $3000 more than our tentative OTD price. Why you might ask? "Permaplate"...not once but twice. $699 a pop. Then some other protection package. It was almost $2000 in profit adders. They refused to discount any of the added on profit boosters. High pressure sales tactics. Their saleswoman, Melissa loved saying "we're different here," but in reality they're just a Textbook sleazy used car shop. Only difference is they refuse to accept financing from anyone else, so they can bully you into taking their bank's offer. (Is that even legal??) Initially offered me 12%. I said that was ridiculous, and she came back (after going to a mysterious back room for 10 min) and said oops, that was just the FIRST offer but not the best. When I asked to see the deal terms in writing she said "we dont do that here." Of course they added on 6k in extended warranty fees without even asking if I wanted that. When I asked to see the deal without the extended warranties she said, well I will have to restructure the entire deal because that's what this was based off of. I asked to see information about the extended warranty coverage, and she made a big deal saying I have never been asked to do this before. They finally printed out a 12 page document (email would have been fine!) They also lowballed me for my trade-in, wouldn't match carmax's offer. Finally I said please give me my keys back, and immediately all the pleasant expression from her face was gone. Gave me and my wife a death glare. EchoPark is terrible and the customer service is awful. After having an appointment time, I had to wait an additional 2 hours before I could even talk to someone. I went to go finance a car, they told me that my down payment was not enough so i came back a couple of days with the down payment they told me. After sitting there for hours they told me no banks ever approved me and there was no history of it. Then they tried to sell me a different car after saying no multiple times. Very disappointed and felt I was unseen because i am so young. read more

I am disappointed to say the least and I hope that others in Nashville aren't being scammed like our family was. Our first purchase of a luxury vehicle was met with nothing but deception from the beginning to the end of the 5-hour process. 1. They promised a higher trade in for the car than the purchase price since they claimed the car was discounted below "book" value. That ISN'T possible. 2. They said that the VIN was 1 number off from the car that was used for the test drive. It ISN'T. It wasn't until 4 hours in that we were told that the car we were purchasing WASN'T the car they gave for the test drive. 3. They sold the car for $2K higher than their website price. 4. They never gave the base price of the car when asked. Every figure included something extra. That's on top of the fact that they NEVER told the credit scores used until the end (2-3 hours later) after I had asked multiple times. We found the real car price ($2K below what they sold it to us for), the VIN numbers for both cars (an 8-digit difference), the interest rate ranges (none were close to what we were quoted), and a glimpse of the credit tiers later that same night and the next morning on the EchoPark website. Make sure you get your vehicle inspected before you purchase here. My girlfriend and I bought two vehicles in Feb of this year. While the sales team was very good to work with, the quality of the vehicle is not up to standard. Within 6 months of purchase we had to replace the tires on her car due to low tread and dryrot in the tread (not in the walls). During that they suggested that we get the brakes and rotors replaced. We took it to get a second opinion and they confirmed that they do need to be replaced and wouldn't suggest we take the car on a road trip that we have planned. Supposedly there is a 180 point inspection. Tires don't dry rot and lose enough tread that they need replacing in 6 months. Especially when her work commute is a mile. And you would expect that a car sold would have brakes that would last more than 6 months... I was told by Echo that this is likely just normal wear and tear and that we are out of the 30 day warranty. Oh, and for what it's worth, I needed an oil change 3 months after I purchased my Audi. read more

This company is your classic BAIT & SWITCH. I haven't dealt with dealers just buying cars straight out so called the number first, was told to drop by but I could make an appointment if I wanted to; I did. But, when I arrived (8/30), the woman rep told me they won't look at the car (rudely BTW); that I should back home and do it all online, because "I could possibly get more for it." HUH? I pushed that I'm here now, was told I can come today, had appointment. She said "Oh, corporate says different things and should have told you..." blahblah. So there's an hour+ I'll never get back. Got home, plugged in all the #'s and go my quote for $6K. Not great, but it's an extra car sitting around so willing move forward. Even though they can pull everything with VIN #'s, I called back into corporate (before taking car back) just to make sure they can see an accident report from 10+ years ago (not salvaged or rebuilt title); they said, yes, not a problem. OK then. I wanted this clear before I came back in for the actual sell/deal. I take the car back within the allotted mileage and 2-week period (9/8), said as long as everything runs the way it's supposed to and no damage, deal will be made; sit in lobby about 30 minutes then we'll wrap up; ok great. After they take their sweet time, low and behold... the rep comes back all smiles, I'm sorry, but as you know, your car was in an accident long ago and we have determined there's structural damage... WUT. Where? So they cut their *OFFER IN HALF." It's almost comical if it wasn't borderline criminal. The best part?... she walks me outside, lifts the hood, and says... this strip of metal here wasn't welded correctly. ummm what?... this is a think piece that sits on top of the main frame and the hood 100% is flush and closes correctly; just... wow. What they didn't know is that this car recently had the hood latch/lock and hood shocks replaced *by a certified BMW mechanic in Nashville." And I have the receipts. If you think anything was structurally wrong with the hood/door area, they would have let it out of the door?? Amazing. But beyond that, it was clearly obvious they were searching for some bogus "structural damage" to cut my offer in half. You literally could not look at what she was pointing at and see *anything* even bent, or dented or whatever. I halfway thought she was joking but thinking she was a newer staff member who hasn't brushed up on her screwing-people-over skills. More proof?... I also took the car to both CarVana and CarMax-- both here in Nashville so same city and both offered me deals back to $6,000. CarMax offered me $6,000 *to the penny* as-is, saw the same car, same carFax report, looked it over entirely. I even pointed out the "poorly welded metal" area under the hood and asked if that was a problem. Said, nope, not sure what you're looking at... EXACTLY. And I got the offer one-sheet for $6,000 that's scanned for anyone to see. Anyone thinking of going to Echo Park in Nashville, remember... CarMax and CarVana is right around the corner. Get their offers first, especially CarMax. Think about that: They literally cut my offer *in half* citing some kinda bogus crappy welded piece of thin metal that two other places in the exact same business absolutely said was not a problem and got the *full $6,000* from the CarMax appraisal. Within a couple of days of each other. For me, it seems like their tactics harbor back to the good old days in used car sales of putting the screws to customers any way they can. The experience I had at echo park was a nightmare. Please be cautious and avoid giving this company your money! I saw a car I was interested in on their website. I called and confirmed a test drive appointment and started to get excited as this would be my first big purchase ever. I decided to finance through my bank and set everything up with them before making the hour and 15 minute trip. Before making the trip we luckily found out before making the 2 1/2 hour round trip that there were some hoops we would have to jump through in order to use my bank's financing. We figured out how to make it work and got everything lined up before my test drive appointment Friday evening. We even talked to Brandi in finance to double check that we were going to be able to use a check from my bank when purchasing the vehicle. When I arrived at Echo Park I was surprised to see that there was no one enforcing masks. Seating wasn't 6 feet apart. Employees had their masks down or worn improperly until a customer came to them for assistance. I brushed it off because I was excited to purchase my first car. The employee I was assigned to seemed unfriendly and didn't seem to want to go the extra mile to secure my trust and business. I again brushed it off because I really love the car I looked at. As soon as we began the paperwork, the employee asked us a number of questions about the check we were using from my bank. Mind you, we had already gone back and forth with Brandi from finance for hours before our trip down to echo park. Their policy with using outside banks made me uncomfortable and did not make me feel like I could trust them. Their reasoning for why they don't accept outside financing seemed sketchy and it once again led us to have to jump through more hoops in order to purchase the car. I became very uncomfortable and wanted to double check with my bank again in the morning before handing them my money. We left Friday night, approximately 30 minutes before they closed. By the morning, everything with my bank checked out and we were set to go make the 2 1/2 hour round trip again to purchase the car. Jason Singer had told us that the car would be ready to go and cleaned by the time we got there (there was a stain and dirt in the back seat.) After we arrived, we waited over an hour and a half to be helped. Finally, a new employee was assigned to help us. After another 45 minutes, we were greeted with bad news. They had spent the entirety of the time we spent waiting searching for the car. They could not locate the vehicle. Once they found the car, 3 new scratches, paint chips in the rear bumper, and a slightly dislocated part in the front were found. How did this happen? No answers were given to us. From the time that we left Friday night, 8:30 pm to 9 pm (when they close) someone had moved the car and damaged it. How does this happen?? 5 hours of travel. 8 hours of waiting and jumping through hoops. Hours of figuring out financing. And now the vehicle is damaged. Trying to make the most of the situation, I ask if there are any other cars similar in price and mileage. There were only cars with higher mileage and higher in price. Strange. I ask if there is anything they can do with a discount in price to make up for this nightmare of an experience. They said that they could only give us a discount of MAX $500. What a joke. Had a great experience with echo. Seth and Brooke were very helpful! We sold them our vehicle and they did give us just below the online offer plus an additional $250 bonus for coming within 48hrs. Echo had the highest cash offer out of all the sites. Only downside is the process took about an hour and a half, so make sure you set aside time to come.
