I had a great experience at Eclipse Airbrush Tanning. Amber is really nice, knowledgeable, and professional. I liked how she allows clients to book their appointments online and I love her guarantee. Her prices are reasonable and her salon is clean. It shows that she takes what she does seriously. However, her airbrush tan didn't turn out well on my body. I've gotten sprayed by her twice and there's always splotches in weird areas (not just the elbows and knees). I've gotten airbrush tans before and didn't have this problem. The airbrush tan also fades off in an unpleasing aesthetic manner. I've exfoliated but it kind of looks like I have stretch marks on random parts of my body. Maybe her products just doesn't mesh well with my skin type. Not all airbrush tanning products work with everyone's body. You kind of have to find the ones that will work. That being said, I'd still come back to this business and give it a third try. read more

Amber is the absolute best with airbrush tanning in the entire Portland metro area. I've been to several other airbrush tanning locations and none have been as even looking as amber's. It's obvious that Amber takes a lot of pride in her work. No one that I have been to in the past has taken as much time to prep the skin so that the tan looks natural and even with no splotchy areas. WOW! Let me just start by saying that. This was the best experience/service/tan I ever could have asked for! Kaya Papaya (such a cute name) was wonderful, not only did she make me feel so comfortable getting pretty much naked but we also had a blast after sharing past stories back and fourth during my appointment, I swear that 30min felt like 10! My Tan is still 100% perfect after day 4, I think I will be getting about 7 to 8 from what I have seen, and what she explained to look for. She blew my mind with the amount of knowledge she had on the whole thing, 80% of what she informed me of were things I never would have thought of with airbrush or any type of spray tan, but it all makes sense! Skin, treatment and care, color choices. Everything! She also gave me a sample of the Coffee Coco scrub they carry. It was a skin changer for sure! I used it before I got my airbrush and I know for a fact it's a huge reason why my tan is still looking so good, again all with her breakdown of how it all works :) I will be back to see her for my next trip and can't wait! This was hands-down THE BEST spray tan I have ever had in my entire life. I read every inch of her website before going in and that helped a lot. Read the FAQ and Prep&Care pages carefully!! They really are full of great pre/post tan information. I came out looking flawless, natural, and golden!!! I have tried both booth spray tans and having a technician airbrush me and have come out with less than ideal results. For goodness sake, I literally left a salon green one time. I had to go back to work with my whole body green and deal with looks and questions the rest of the day, all because they used expired product and then lied over and over to talk their way out of the situation. Great place. The girl that do my spray tan was great! She really knew what she was doing and took many extra little precautions to make sure I didn't have any blotchy areas or streaks. Based on the other reviews, I decided to give this a go, and I am hooked! Kaya did an amazing job, I look golden bronze and not at all unnatural, which has happened at the spray booth places. She was meticulous and very detail oriented, so I do not have any orange spots or streaks. I will definitely be back, the experience was personalized, very professional, and I didn't feel awkward (at all) standing there naked in front of her. I can't wait to put on my bathing suit, no more "Portland Pale" for this girl!! While there, a repeat customer suggested some of the products to extend the life of the tan, which I purchased, but Kaya absolutely did not pressure me to purchase anything extra. i am so excited to have found this place. I've paid more for two sprays from a booth than i do for unlimited airbrushing a month and its such quality stuff that no more than once a week is necessary, unlike the booth sprays that promise results for seven to ten days and i am back to looking glow in the dark white after two showers. perfect balance of cost and quality. Be careful and have a reminder on the date you go in. They give you no heads up about your appointment only the initial email they send when you make the appointment. If you aren't a VIP member which is a monthly fee then they charge $15. I suggest making the appointment a couple days in advance and not be ahead of the game and book 1 week in advance then forget. For the experience the first time I went I was a little concerned, but the service was fine. If someone needs a quick tan and has the money or a groupon I would recommend it, but I won't go back again. read more

I was nervous because of my fair skin and age/brown spots but Kya went through everything with me and made suggestions on how to have the best looking tan without getting the dark spots darker. I wanted to get a tan before heading to AZ and I went to this gem of a place. I remembered the location because when I was in a bodybuilding show I got my tan here instead of paying $150 dollars to have my tan done at the show and the whole day of the competition I got compliments for how good my tan looked. Amber is really good at taking the time to talk with you so you get your desired level of darkness. I am not sure how frequent guys visit but I felt completely comfortable so that was nice. I have been getting airbrushed by the eclipse team for almost a year now, and let me just say that they absolutely have it down perfectly. I have extremely fair, pale skin and have always been a huge fan of airbrush tanning. I have tried many different Airbush tanning salons out, and eclipse is by far the best in Portland! If you are going to go to the southeast location, try to get in with Jenna. She pays close attention to detail. If you go to the tualitin location, see Alicia (I believe that is her name). She just did my spray tan last night, and it's absolutely perfect! I do not have one complaint. I even told her to be careful around my feet because that is one area where I sometimes will get a small line on the side and behind them...it's actually a bit of a high maintenance request because since I am so fair skinned, it's almost impossible to not have a little bit of a line but this morning I woke up, and I didn't have a line! I was even more impressed than I ever was with eclipse! Not only did Alicia do such an amazing job, but she was so sweet to listen to my request, and fulfill it.
