What a lovely place. Went there yesterday to get a little base for my trip to Mexico tomorrow. Had a groupon which defintiely helped! The place is a little hard to find. When I mapped it on google it said it was down near the Residence Inn however - it is all the way down the riverwalk almost to RIverplace the opposite direction of the Residence Inn. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Had a glass of wine while I was waiting. It's a little uncomfortable taking all my clothes off in front of a stranger and then being sprayed with an airbrush but hey - the gal was extremely nice and helped to make me feel comfortable. I wanted to get a spray tan for my Vegas trip. It was my first time ever getting a spray tan so I was pretty nervous and not sure how the experience would turn out. Thankfully Jordi helped put me at ease and was very helpful throughout the whole process. I told her I wanted to have a slight tan and not be too dark. She recommended me a level 8 and she told me that I still wouldn't be that dark. I was still nervous for doing a level 8, but I trusted her and went with 8. Next time I would go with a higher level because the tan does fade and get lighter when you rinse it off. You can decide to wear whatever you want when you get the spray tan. I decided to go fully nude. I was nervous being fully naked in front of a stranger, but Jordi made me feel very comfortable. Don't worry if you feel like you've ruined the tan afterwards. I dropped some water and saw streaky marks and thought I ruined the tan, but after I rinsed off with water it was fine. The tan doesn't look as dark as when you first get it and that's why I would recommend going a higher level. Since I know what to expect now I am more at ease. I definitely recommend coming to organic bronze bar! They use all organic products and you don't come out looking like an Oompa Loompa. I decided to write this review after I got the tan. It's the end of my trip and I still have the tan. It stays on and looks nice. I will definitely come back again for Coachella! read more

First spray tan was a great experience because of Ms.Serenity: her professionalism and sage advice. I had a wedding to go to in 98 degree weather and my legs were white as snow. I wanted to feel comfortable in bare legs, so I thought that I would have a spray tan. I have been going to OBB for over a year. In the last 8 mos or so I began a membership and now go twice a month for a spray tan with Carly and she is fantastic!! Not only does she make you feel comfortable and is a total sweetheart, she is quick and does a great job every time. The prices are very reasonable, even better if you do a membership and it is super easy to book online. I definitely recommend and will continue to be a regular customer. Remember to listen to instructions, do your prep correctly and care of your tan if you want it to last! I tried Organic Bronze Bar last week before my trip to Las Vegas. I've done the Mystic Tan thing before, but wanted to try something different and more natural. Excellent results!! The technician was very informative and made me feel comfortable. The procedure was quick, thorough, and the coverage was amazing. I have olive skin naturally, so the tech selected a 10 (the shades range from level 5 for the lightest to level 12 as the darkest). After the tan, I put on a zip-up hoodie, and during my walk home, the back of the zipper rubbed a white spot on my chest. I freaked out, thinking I had rubbed off the spray tan only minutes after getting it. But I went to bed, hoping for the best. After my shower the next morning, there was no white spot at all, just even coverage. Great results. Natural-looking, no streaks, very even coverage...even under my arms and on my neck & face. I would highly, highly recommend it to anyone. And a happy hour tan is only $35 (same price as a Mystic). I'll never do a standard spray tan again! read more

Nice experience! They airbrush you in a private room. You can get as nekkid as you wanna. It takes about 10-15 minutes and the color will develope over the rest of the day. The color includes a bronzer so you leave with some color while your tan is developing, then the bronzer washes off at your next shower. I was sprayed by Rebecca who was super nice. I was never made to feel icky about my less-than-perfect body (that I am insanely insecure about). The tan is still here 6 days later. I'm really really trying to eke it out to 14 days, they say between 5-7 is typical. If you join as a member, you get two spray tans for $40/mo. The colors are customizable. My custom color request was "noticeable but not orange and go light on my face, just in case, thanks!". I came out tan and beautiful--No Orange! They do great work. Post July Fourth, a lot of people commented how I looked great and tan and must've done something fun without burning. Yup. Stood 80% naked in a booth with a stranger and SPF 85 with Helioplex! My little secret, I guess! & the tech told me there's a parking garage that validates with purchase for 30 minutes so that is very valuable intel for my next visit. Oh and you can book online which is awesome if you generally avoid phone calls as I do. Minus: the location is awkward to get to & it shares a salon space with something next door so make sure you go into the right shop. It's sort of under the Hawthorne bridge, on the boardwalk (never knew we even had a boardwalk!). Great experience, nice way to safely(?) add color for summer! read more

I don't normally write Yelp reviews, but I couldn't resist after two amazing experiences with Jordi at Organic Bronze Bar. I first came in for a tan a few weeks ago and immediately felt welcomed. My last spray tan experience was at Eclipse Airbrush Tanning, and lets just say it was downright uncomfortable. I had reserved feelings coming to this appointment, but those feelings dissipated as I connected with Jordi right away, she is so dang sweet and made me feel SUPER comfortable while she sprayed me down. The color came out great, and the tan lasted longer than I expected to. Not to mention their monthly memberships are such a sweet deal!! This place is great if you know a few tricks. You must know how to prep and take care of your tan. That is on you:) Exfoliate before hand, wash your palms and soles of your feet after. Use the correct moisturizer to extend your tan. As for the tan itself, Felicia is the best! She knows what she is doing and she takes care to makes sure she listens, gets you sprayed evenly, and dries you off well before sending you off. My tan always turns out great. I've overheard her with other clients and on the phone and she is personable, professional and extremely helpful. She will take great care of you! read more

I have done spray tans, but never airbrush. The lady made me feel comfortable and I recently had hand surgery so she did not spray my hands, but you couldn't even tell- no distinct line(s) or anything! The tan does have an instant bronzer which I was worried about at first- I looked too dark. Also, I got some water and streaks from my purse strap on me. However, after showering 8 hours later, you literally see the bronzer come off and your tan is perfect and even- it got rid of all uneven marks and too-dark places just by showering but I still have an amazing teen. Great bonus: If you're a student, the tans are only $20- such a freaking AWESOME DEAL. PS: I went to the Forest Heights location, but I could not find a yelp location for that. I, like everyone else, have had my share of awkward spray tan experiences, but none quite as uncomfortable and miserable as my experience at Organic Bronze Bar. While the quality of the tan was fine, the quality of customer service (which I believe to be the most important part in a tanning experience) at Organic Bronze Bar was not. I was "greeted" by Iman, who seemed very distracted and unhappy to be there. I felt that Iman could not have cared less about my spray tan and overall satisfaction with the company. She was very rude, pushy and unaware of her client, so I was shocked to learn that she is a manager! Shouldn't the manager be an example and role model for the store and company? I left Organic Bronze Bar with a bad taste in my mouth and I can't say that I will ever return. read more

This service is too expensive to not be damn near perfect. I will go back when I'm in town because it's something fun for my sister and I to do together. I've gone here for sunless tanning several times. The women that spray your tan on do a great job of ensuring they mix the right shade so you don't look fake and apply it evenly. They have a great happy hour deal: if you go in Mon - Thurs between 4 - 6 the price goes down to $35. I recently became a "member", where you get 2 tans/month for $39. People have said it doesn't smell, but it does. It's not horrible, but in the first hours after you get it done (before you shower), there is a noticeable smell. I really think this is unavoidable with sunless tanning, and I've managed to mask it with perfume and still make it out to dinner that same night. I usually get my tan around 4pm and then sleep in it over night to ensure it lasts through the weekend. read more
