Eclipse Coffee Roaster rescued me from caffeine deficiency. Life is rough when I stay at hotel where I have no status. I came here because I had no status at the hotel I was staying at. No free breakfast, no coffee forcing me to wander the streets and restaurants of Canmore. Eclipse is a nice little coffee shop located on the main drag of Canmore. The street is closed to vehicular traffic. Parking is available on the parallel streets with not too far of a walk. It is confusing as the address is on Main Street, but, Google maps shows it as 8th Street. Their coffee was good. It had enough caffeine to wake me up. The flavor of my coffee was nice. Service was good. My only complaint was that the cup was small and I was almost done with the cup before I got back to the hotel. Good stuff. read more

Cute and cozy coffee shop on Main Street! I decided on this coffee shop over getting coffee at one of the food places/cafes near by so that I could get a pour over. It was a little bit of a bummer that they only had 2 options for pour overs. The Brazil pour over, one of the "balanced" blends, was meh. Unfortunately I did not get any of the tasting notes out of the pour over. I will say the service was great - the employees were kind and the drink came out relatively fast for how busy it was. read more

The coconut pandan croissant had a lot of coconut in it, a bit too much for my liking, but the pastry was good. Easy to walk to, from any downtown parking lots or street parking. Solid coffee shop in Canmore. It wasn't too busy when we stopped by with our group and the upstairs area was cozy. It has a minimalistic vibe but seems like a great spot when you need to get work done. I couldn't pass up the pistachio croissant with my latte. Latte was solid but croissant was a little hard so I would opt to take it home or ask them to warm it up next time. read more

Eclipse was the only repeated establishment my wife and I visited during our short stay in Canmore. The coffee here is great and the service extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed going to both the downtown location and the location on railroad where they roast the beans as well (and where we ultimately decided to grab a few 14 oz bags on the road). While we took to- go both visits, the establishments were extremely clean, bright, and well suited for hanging out (or people watching if you're in the downtown location). read more

Let me start with the positives. The iced Americano was the best I've had since I've been in Canmore. Strong and flavorful. The chocolate peanut butter pastry was delicious but quite small. A bit pricey and I don't like having to clean off outside tables before I sit. The staff doesn't seem to come out to check/clean at all. So, pastry/coffee great...all else not so. Because of the inattentive staff and high price, I can only give 3 stars. Attentiveness is an easy fix. read more
