Book with Darrin! I started getting my hair done by Darrin about 2 years ago and I am never going anywhere else. I used to be the type of person that always wanted single length long hair, but when I was finally ready to try a new look I was nervous. A few people I knew highly recommended Darrin as he listens to watch you want, can offer suggestions, and he really knows what he's doing! He works very well, while carrying a great conversation with you if you're interested. I get my next haircut tomorrow and I am super excited about it. When I moved to Palm Springs from San Francisco the first thing I had to do was find a new Hair Salon and boy did I luck out!! Andrew Velberg has been cutting hair now for a while and I couldn't be more pleased with his work. He is a very talented stylist and take such good care of you, like as if you're his only client. The salon is clean and modern, everyone is very friendly and there's ample parking so it couldn't be any more convenient. Darrin is fabulous! He not only listens to his clients, but he does exactly what we ask for- and my hair is gorgeous. He's easy to chat with and fast - for a cut and color (tons of foil) I was out in just under two hours (I've been to places that loligag for up to five hours and it drives me nuts). Andrew has been my hairdresser for over 20 years. I trust him, and only him to do what he thinks is best for my hair. Throughout the years, for various reasons, I've been unable to go to him, and regretted how my hair turned out. Due to health reasons about 15 years ago I was no longer capable of washing my own hair, especially if I wanted to keep it long. Ever since then I began seeing Andrew every week to get my hair washed and colored/cut if needed. My hair is very unmanageable thick & course. No, I mean REALLY thick and REALLY course. Throughout the years Andrew has always used the latest state-of-the-art smoothing treatments on my hair to make it more manageable. As I mentioned, I trust him to do whatever he feels is right for my hair. All my life my hair was my achilles heel, now it's what I'm proud of. I ALWAYS get compliments, everyone (friends, family and often strangers in stores) want to touch my hair, and tell me how beautiful the color and cut are, and how glossy it is. Sometimes it's embarrassing because I don't handle kudos very well. I love Andrew, and am happy for him about his new venture to Palm Springs, and for all of you who will benefit from his expertise. Scott and I have been in a hair relationship since 2012. Words cannot express the amazing that he is. Not a day goes by that I don't get stopped by strangers asking if I have extensions, a wig, etc... They actually pull my hair just to see. When they ask what I do, my reply is always "I don't do anything. Scott at Eclipse is in charge of all this. All credit goes to him." All of my friends and family are now loyal Scott clients. My mother even comes all the way from Oregon to have him color and cut her hair. The salon is beautiful and extremely private.
