I was disappointed with my results on my hair appointment. I had 3 similar pictures of a pixie cut. I wanted to take my layered bob shorter to a textured pixie. I even asked Tiffany my hair stylist if my hair would work with the photo ideas I provided. She said yes. She only trimmed my hair just like it was but just a smidge shorter. I did have her cut more on top. I couldn't really tell about the cut without going home and styling myself. It cost me $73.00 for just a trim no styling including tip. With that said I won't be back too disappointed so now I have to wait for several weeks before I find some other place who can do what I want. read more

Wow .. I would recommend calling and asking questions before booking because I just tried to book a first haircut and my hair is short and was told for the first time they charge $64. I pay average $40 a cut now before tip. When looking online for what appears to be a 20 to 30 minute haircut it should be around $32 on the website. The stylist I had ruined my hair and damaged it to the point where it's going to take a long time to repair that damage. I showed her a picture of a balayage I wanted and what I got was an awful looking ombré that was not even blended. A 5 dollar box dye would have looked better. When I questioned her she argued with me and it made me feel like shit. I paid and left even though I should not have paid for that type of service. I won't be going back. Had to pay more than double for someone to fix my hair and make it look like what I originally wanted. Picture of what I asked for versus what I got!! On June 12, 2017, I had an appointment with Rita to cut my hair very short. It was a little bit of a drastic step as my hair was getting fairly long. I explained I wanted something short and sassy and easy to take care of. All I wanted to do was wash & towel dry & run my fingers through it! Eclipse saved me!!!... After much consideration I decided to cut my hair short... only to have it done in a way I was not completely happy with. It was cut incorrectly making it difficult to style and frustrating on many levels! I was going to go back to the same stylist to have corrected but with short hair I couldn't afford any more "error"... I called Eclipse asking TONS of questions about the stylists... specifically how they were with trendy short cuts... They got me in quickly... DAWN was amazing and knowledgeable. I really enjoyed myself here. I had a very long highlighting experience but it made sense because I have a ton of hair and my hair stylist is new. I'm really happy with my cut and color. A couple things that kinda drove me crazy was 1. The chair footrests run into the floor when you are lowered. There are marks all around the floor from it and the footrests are falling apart. I had to watch out for my feet to not get pinched while getting my hair cut. 2. Although my hair turned out beautiful and I really like it, it's not quite what I requested. It's very close. I wish my stylist would have talked with me more about what to expect. Again, I really love my hair. read more

I asked my daughter to make an appt for me at this salon while I was on my way back from Afghanistan for a visit. The reviews were good so I thought it would be a good choice. My hair was extremely long and I wasn't exactly pleased with the color I received from another salon previously. My appt was with Jennifer and she was very nice. She gave me a great cut and the color is beautiful and so natural looking. Due to a cancellation my daughter was able to get a wash and style so my first day back in the U.S. turned out to be a wonderful mother-daughter salon day. All of the ladies here were exceptionally nice and I was very pleased with my hair and the cost when we were finished. I just came home with one of the best haircuts and colors of my life. The person I had been using for years relocated and after trying a few other local salons, I was becoming desperate. I had an important business meeting coming up and wanted to have the confidence of knowing my hair looked professional and attractive. With very fine hair, mistakes are quickly evident and since my hair doesn't grow very fast, it takes a long time before it recovers from a bad haircut. Tara, who said she specializes in color, did a great job listening to me and then finding a solution to meet my needs. It even leveraged the mixed color that was already in my hair from previous DYI coloring attempts. Rather than declaring everything a disaster and starting over from scratch she touched up the roots where needed and than added highlighting that worked with the color already in my hair. As well as giving me the look I wanted, the long-term health of my hair was also very important to her and we discussed options to keep it as healthy as possible. I was wowed by the final color and its new subtle variations that looked very natural while still giving my hair an extra "something". The cut was also great, showcasing my face and making me feel like I was on a reality show for models with one of the fantastic "after" reveals. My husband approved too when I got home which is impressive since normally he barely notices when it has been styled. While I was there, I got to see the results of someone who wanted to be a blond. The blond color was very rich with depth and dimension. Highlights and slightly darker blond tones mixed with the almost white blond color as the lady moved her head, the different shades flowing into each other without any obvious streaks as if her hair has always been that way. If anyone is looking for a better quality hair cut and/or color in an unexpectedly nice location, check out Eclipse Salon and Spa on US 41. Melissa is A. M. A. Z. I. N. G. She is an excellent listener, patient, caring, attentive, professional, explained everything well and the FIRST stylist to EVER take notes while I described my concerns and ideas. Didn't think it could get better and then she washed my hair - HEAVEN! She did not rush through it like most salons. She was very thorough and gave the best, longest, most relaxing scalp massage in life. It had to be 30 minutes long. This was my first visit and I needed color service-highlights and base color as well as restorative treatment or mask for dry, dull, frizzy hair. She recommended a chem shot which was reasonably priced. I was trying to cut back spending for this particular visit and Melissa came up with the perfect plan to fit my budget while giving me exactly what I wanted even though the initial plan would have been a fair price. I really appreciate the extra time she spent with me for my initial consultation and the flexibility with making it work within my means. I didn't feel pressured or that up-selling was going on at all. She was very honest. Not only did she get creative with fitting in my price range, she also recommended I download Flok app for rewards, immediate discounts and future coupons at her salon (and other establishments in the network). Melissa also keeps up with the latest trends and attends conventions in the industry. She is well informed. She helped me understand what I need to do to get my hair back healthy - products, how and when to use them for the short run and long run. I also really love the calming atmosphere and how beautifully decorated the salon is. They use and sell great products like Redken and Morrocan Oil (more too but I didn't catch all the brands). Oh and when I called to set up consultation the employee listened to my situation patiently, suggested a stylist level and spent time to fit me in last minute (same day and next day offered). Based off of other reviews I decided to give Eclipse a try. The salon is tucked away in a shopping plaza and if you weren't looking for it you might just pass right by. My appointment was with Melissa who was running behind, I waited 30 minutes past my scheduled appointment. She really made up for that though! The atmosphere of the salon was very relaxed, great music that wasn't too loud or too soft, friendly staff, and very clean. As a first visit she asked a lot of questions about my hair, routine, and what I wanted. The color is amazing, some of the best highlights I've ever had. The shampoo and scalp massage were first rate! They even offered me a glass of wine. While 3.5 hours in the salon was a bit much, I'll definitely be back for a second chance!! The only reason this review isn't 5 stars is due to the wait and time spent at the salon. Everything else - service, product, atmosphere, etc is top notch! read more

I've been going to the same stylist back home for over 30 years... yes since grade school. I had a lot of anxiety about finding a new stylist. I received a coupon in the mail for Eclipse and saw although there were just a few reviews all were very good... so I thought I'd give it a shot. I had anxiety every step of the way, but the end result was great! I waited a few days before giving the review to make sure I was 100% happy with it. I washed my hair and let it dry naturally, washed it again and blow dried it.... completely happy and satisfied with the results. I will definately be returning. Tracy was my stylist. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because, although the cut was great and staff was polite... there was something missing from a personable perspective especially as a first time client and given the circumstances of the extreme anxiety I was feeling. It would of been nice to have a more warm and personable vibe. Having said that, I would much rather walk away with a great cut and feel a little uncertain about the vibe, then vice versa.
