Our search for an honest company led us to West Coast, and we hoped the reviews were true. The good news is, West Coast is as honest as it gets. Askia came out and looked around the attic while I watched from the ladder. First, he showed me that the supposed mildew was some sort of harmless sandy clay-ish material. And the supposed black mold was just "lumber mold", an industry term for "stain fungi"--the common dark streaks in lumber that originate at the sawmill or in the forest, don't weaken the lumber, and are not indications of moisture. Who knew? Well, Askia knew. And he actually spent time convincing me that we didn't need their services. So do I recommend them to you? You betcha! An honest company is a joy to find.

They were efficient, polite and kept me assured that they would take care of things and updated throughout the process especially since I was dealing with all of this while my spouse was on a work trip. When I had my spouse on video call to see the progress, he said their work was clean. We've worked with other companies for demo but these guys were wayyyy better at it. When it was time to pick up equipment after drying time was over, Gio again kept me informed with what stage of the process we were in and what'll happen next. Besides that, I have not been able to contact their billing department about some concerns I have about their billing statement and concerns about their sales rep who assured me my flood damage at my house would be covered by my insurance. The sales rep even got on the phone and assisted in opening the insurance claim by getting on the phone with my insurance and not identifying himself as the Mighty Dry Sales rep, which I'm not sure if that's conflict of interest. In my case my insurance denied my claim, now I am left with a huge bill from Might Dry. My emails and my phone calls to their billing department continue to be ignored since 8/25/26.

Despite not technically being liable for the original job, the owner Spencer showed tremendous integrity by agreeing to fix a leak discovered during the last rains. Adolfo worked on the repair with efficiency & was very thorough in ensuring the leak was fixed properly. They ran a water & moisture test to confirm. Spencer also gave us a longterm warranty on their workmanship should any additional issues arise in the leak location. Very impressed by the type of business this company runs & would highly recommend. I will personally shy away from solar/ roofing combo companies now bc many have high turnover rates given the reduction in California subsidies- sticking with a roofing first company like Smart Roofing would be the way to go.

Throughout the process before the roof even started, the company was very attentive and communicative. From Spencer coming out to inspect the property, to updates over the weekend regarding possible rain delays, I appreciated the effort to keep me informed. Lydia in the office was also very accommodating with several texts and emails prior to the start of the project. Once the project began, I received texts letting me know David would be the project manager while Carlos and his crew handled the work onsite. I honestly do not know if David was present on the first day because when I drove by the property, the crew was extremely busy working and I chose not to step into the work zone for safety reasons. On the second day, I did step onto the property to speak with Carlos and ask questions. Carlos answered everything I asked and helped me better understand the roofing process, which I really appreciated. The crew was clean, efficient, professional, and overall the new roof and gutters look great. Maybe this was a little unconventional, but because the house is currently empty and I live in another county, I personally brought both the deposit and final check to the office. I also stayed in town during the roofing project just in case immediate access to the property was needed. Everyone throughout the process was courteous and accommodating. I also felt the overall value of the project was fair for the quality of materials, workmanship, communication, and the upgraded roofing system that was installed. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I would have appreciated a final text or email from the project manager letting me know the project was officially completed. When speaking with Carlos, he did let me know the crew planned to finish on a particular day, and they clearly did. I spoke with Lydia on the phone the day I decided to bring the final check to the office, which was what would have been day 3 based on the original 2-3 day timeline they gave me, although the crew actually completed the roof in just 2 days, yes very fast for a small roof. Lydia was kind enough to call David while I was there to see if the project had officially been completed, so perhaps I may have jumped the gun a little. Three…read moretimes, I had to navigate around emergency water situations with our first one being a slab leak, our second being a leaking water heater, and our most recent episode being a sudden burst of water from one of our upstairs toilets. For all three emergencies, I called All American Plumbing to look at the issues and for the first two water issues, American Response Team was the mitigation company that handled the drying out of the water and other abatement issues. For this third emergency All American Dry Out came out and it was great to hear that they are part of All American Plumbing, so God forbid I have another water emergency, I'll only need to go through All American Plumbing to handle everything. Jonathon from All American Dry Out was a really good dude to work with, which doesn't surprise me considering that I haven't had any issues with any of the personnel from All American Plumbing. I'm a Veteran of these water emergencies at our home and I honestly wish I never experienced any of the problems we encountered. Since I dealt with All American Plumbing for the previous two issues, I knew who I was going to call after my wife informed me that we had bubbling on our downstairs ceiling and water coming from our ceiling after she popped the bubble. This emergency happened on a Saturday evening, so I knew that I'd be calling All American Plumbing Monday morning. All American Plumbing is located in Poway, CA and based on my previous dealings with them, they send a team to address our emergency pretty quickly. I contacted Rachel on Monday, who I believe is part owner of the company, and she scheduled a mitigation company to come out first thing Tuesday morning and plumbers to come out after the mitigation company. On Tuesday morning, I met Jonathon from All American Dry Out. It was great to hear from Jonathon that All American Dry Out was part of All American Plumbing and that he had previously worked for American Response Team, but moved over once he heard All American Plumbing would be handling their own mitigation responsibilities. Jonathon handled everything by coordinating a team to set up drying machines for the water, coordinating with an environment company to determine if we had asbestos, calling a pack out company to remove our household goods, and working with my insurance for payment. Having to deal with emergency water damage is very stressful, but Jonathon's professionalism, communication, and responsiveness made our situation less stressful. Anytime I had a question and either called or texted Jonathon, he quickly answered my question. Jonathon even set up a lock box where we could place keys there for the contractors, so that they had access to our home without us needing to be there while work was being done to our home. For the initial mitigation and abatement of this water problem, All American Dry Out quickly addressed what needed to be done before the other things that still need to be worked on. When I had to deal with the two water issues at our home years ago, I had to work with two different companies for the mitigation and the plumbing. With All American Plumbing having their own mitigation segment called All American Dry Out, it was great working with just one company and it was a blessing to work with another good dude, who made a stressful situation not as stressful.

Thankfully, I had the best people to get this situation resolved quickly. I worked with Arturo Ramirez (from San Diego)'s team from start to finish. Arturo came to give an assessment of what is going on, what needs to be done, and when they are going to do so. The preparation they did before the work was amazing. I have carpet upstairs and they put plastics on everything so there would be a minimal cleaning in the end. Arturo communicated with me on everything they are working on. After all done, they cleaned everything, they put back my toilet with no issue, the walls are painted and textured. I didn't think that they were cutting any corners or trying to get it all done and get my money and be out. Only small issue I had was the communication about the invoices with their accounting team. I had to call them multiple times to get it updated since I needed the bills split between HOA and me. But in the end they got it all figured out.
