Water damage and mold remediation are words that a homeowner never wants to hear, and the uncertainty of how extensive the damage might be can cause many sleepless nights. We had a situation where we found water damage from our refrigerator water dispenser tubing underneath a built-in fridge that got into flooring, dry wall, and adjacent cabinets. We also noticed that the floor in a different room had been warped for awhile, and finally connected that there might be a slow leak. We had multiple bids come out to assess the situation, and West Coast Restoration was by far the most competitive bid. We dealt primarily with Albert for the project management portion of the process, and he was communicative by chat and by phone, explaining the whole process in a reassuring fashion to me and my partner. Askia and Chris were the ones who did the initial assessment, and they also were the ones who came out to do our project. They were incredibly timely, courteous, took time to review and explain each step of the process of what they found, making a headache of a situation a lot better. Honestly, the customer service that Albert, Askia, and Chris demonstrated was above and beyond the other two companies that came out, and having a competitive price to match really sealed the deal. Askia and Chris did a fantastic job on the remediation, which took approximately a week across two different areas, which included removing glued-down wood boards. They were very careful in setting up containment and cleaning up afterwards. Everything was completed on schedule, allowing us to move to the next phase. I hope I never have to use them again... but if I ever need remediation, I know exactly the company I will call. They showed up for a site visit on the same day I listed the project in Yelp. They were able to do the work right away. When they were done, the owner reviewed the photos and made the staff come back and clean it one more time to remove the remaining black stains. I was satisfied with the remediation work and the additional follow through. The restoration portion of the work was led by another person and that scope of work and estimate wasn't as smooth. First, West Coast Restoration came out to do our mold remediation. The before and after are amazing! See the pictures we added. We then started to do dry wall and insulation. As we started to mud and tape, we realized that we we doing a horrible job, not to mention the arguments about how to do it correctly. We decided to call West Coast again. I'll start by saying that I didn't hire West Coast Restoration to complete any job for me. Having mold on the floor of our closet was noticeable and becoming an issue, especially considering we have a newborn. I reached out to a few companies on yelp, and West Coast walked me through what I should do to stop the mold growth in the chat instead of charging me for having someone come out to check it out themselves. We got multiple quotes and not only were they very quick, the price was also among the most competitive we received. They were less than half the cost of the highest quote so I would highly recommend getting a quote from them. They were extremely professional and careful and finished the job in a timely matter. They did such a good job with the clean up that decided to get a quote from them to replace the drywall, baseboards and repaint the area. They were also very competitive on this. West Coast Restoration is GREAT! We had mold show up in a rental house wall. West Coast responded within 4 days of my call. They dispatched a crew to wipe out the mold and remove the adjacent piece of carpet for proper disposal. They set a fan for 1 1/2 days to dry the spot. Later, a drywall co repaired the small cut that West Coast made to find/fix the problem. Our mold job was totally completed in less that one week. READ BEFORE YOU HIRE ANYONE. When you get a leak, or mold, most companies will try to bill your insurance, and by that they will want to tear down all they can. In reality this is a scam, they should demo only what needed which will result in a faster completion date all together. These guys were amazing! The work was done great. Review is for pricing. I contacted this company for shower leak restoration back in the summer. They sent a guy Albert for an initial quote. He was professional and friendly so he earned my trust. We agreed on an amount of $1500 out of pocket. He gave me a separate quote of $3000 though saying if I have home insurance that'd be the amount. Fast forward to taking out the shower tiles, the guys found that there's a shower pan leak so they said they had to take that out too for another $1500, which I agreed to. After all the work was done, the owner Nathan Raymond sent us an invoice of over $5500, which is a lot more than the agreed amount. In the breakdown there were things that neither I nor the insurance company asked for, including a "3D modeling" that was a couple hundred dollars. The insurance company did not agree to the invoiced amount, but instead of pursuing the matter with the insurance company, Nathan repeatedly pestered me on the invoice. It was not until I got my attorney involved that Nathan resorted to speaking to the insurance on his own. The owner would probably argue that 1. the invoiced items are "required by insurance" and are "standard practice", but I have confirmed with my insurance that they are not. In terms of payment responsibility, since the pricing with and without insurance is vastly different, it only makes sense that Nathan deals with the overpriced amount by himself. Overall, I was satisfied with the work, but as some other reviews said, unfortunately the invoicing and billing were disastrous. I do not recommend doing business with this company. read more

WCR repaired the underside of my deck, which had several rotted boards underneath good Trex 2nd story deck. They removed the boards and replaced them with pre-painted, pressure treated wood the same size and put it all back together without disturbing the deck. You can barely tell a repair is done, except these new boards will last another 20 years or more. Very satisfied with the workmanship, they cleaned up well after every day, and the repair was done in just a few workdays. I recently discovered water stains on one of the walls of our baby girl's bedroom after it had rained one weekend.
