Love, love love ! Justine rescued me from an awful botched color job. I searched on Yelp, found her and called and left a message, the next day I received a voice mail that she was sorry she couldn't get back to me at a sooner time, that she was on a weekend vacay and didn't have service where she was. Even though she was on vacation, she took the time to find someone who could possibly do an emergency color correction. When that didn't pan out, she offered to fix it almost as soon as she got back, squeezing me in between other client's appointments. This was my first visit with her, and yet I felt completely comfortable in her chair with her professionalism, laid back friendly vibe and knowledge of hair color. I went to Justine for hair color and she is exactly the amazing artist everyone raves about! I have red hair and wanted to cover the gray, ad dimension, shine, and depth...she did all that AND more!! She created "natural coloring" on my hair. It enhances your hair to be nourished, soft, full, and vibrant. It is ABSOLUTELY gorgeous!!! I was there a few months ago and I STILL continue to get compliments on my hair color!!!! Many people believe it to be my natural color (I was born a redhead). It's truly stunning, SO magnificently healthy and gorgeous!! First, the color is incredible, shiny and she did a few colors, so it looks very natural. This review is loooong overdue. Justine is my favorite-ever stylist. I've been going to her since 2010 and she is magical. I originally found her because I had a really terrible orange-highlight situation that she turned into gorgeous blonde, no problem. Since then, she has highlighted and cut my hair many, many times (including my pre-wedding cut and color). It's always gorgeous and I always get tons of compliments. And it's not just me! Every time I go to see her, whoever she has in the chair right before me always looks gorgeous and is so happy with their hair. I moved to DC a few years ago and never found anyone there that held a candle to Justine. I had a baby while in DC and moved back to LA about 8 months later. After my daughter was born tons of my hair fell out and was growing back in really unevenly. I went to Justine literally one week after moving back to LA and asked her to cut my super long hair into a lob. I was also tired of the balayage I'd been doing in DC, and I asked if we could do some other kind of highlights. She confirmed with me several times that I was sure I wanted to go shorter (I've always had long hair) and then she did THE MOST AMAZING cut and color. I have loved every cut and color she has ever given me, but because my postpartum hair situation was so grim, it just felt like a miracle to have pretty hair again. She said she used a highlighting technique called "baby lights" which look so bright and natural. The cut is also adorable and I've gotten a hundred compliments at least. If you can, you have to see Justine. She is an artist, and really listens to what I want. She's also just a wonderful human being, kind, and we always have a great conversation. Justine is amazing! She has done amazing cuts and colors on my hair before, but I am so excited that she is in this new location - it is a cozy, tree-house like loft in Abbot Kinney. Justine's Colorist and Stylist Salon gets a 5 STAR PLUS rating in my book! I found Justine on Yelp because I was desperate to change stylist. My stylist had made my hair much too dark and was in desperate need of color correction. Not only did Justine do a FABULOUS job and give me the exact color that I wanted (which is extremely hard to do going from dark to light), she didn't damage my hair AT ALL! She came in on a Monday! (A day that she....and most stylists do not work), even without knowing me as a client. She is very pleasant, professional and to top it all off her prices are very fair.
