Unfortunately because this was the 2nd time this vehicle was getting registered in California I was unable to finish here and had to go to the DMV per California rules. Her tone was harsh, her demeanor dismissive, and her behavior appeared to unnecessarily heighten anxiety for those taking their driving tests. Many individuals come to the DMV already nervous, and instead of being guided calmly and professionally, their confidence was visibly shaken. As someone who spent a career working with students, I know how much an authority figure's attitude can affect performance. A driving test should be conducted in a clear, respectful, and professional manner. Unfortunately, that standard was not met. I believe DMV employees-- ESPECIALLY driving examiners- should be held to higher standards of professionalism. Applicants deserve to be evaluated fairly, without fear or intimidation. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and ensures that all staff treat the public with respect To the examiner or examiners colleague who can tell her this message: it is never cute to be a bully, please re-evaluate yourself and do better. Be Better! Praying you heal. To anyone who has experienced this type of abuse: please know that this is not normal. You have the right to report their disgusting behaviors.
