They are very biased and unprofessional when it comes to the decision making for children and it is so upsetting. I have on different occasions seen Alva show a little bit of favoritism towards certain families that I believe race played a huge factor in his decision making. I'm not even sure how Alva got in that department as a judge when he had no experience in family law prior to that. Thinking of them being in those positions is quite unnerving to say the least.

This review is not for the building or security but for the records office where you can get your birth certificate. I went in and a lovely lady assisted me. She was polite and friendly, advised me of the process and so I completed it. After I took everything back up to her, she advised me it would be a quick wait and to have a seat. At the time, I was on disability due to a previous TORN MCL injury, so I could not stand long. Mind you, I even had a minor limp. I was told I could have a seat by the nice representative processing my request. As soon as a I sat down, some guy who was not even ASSISTING me that was behind the glass, told me I needed to stand up and wait for my turn? Despite me already being assisted but everyone else was sitting? Just because one had a child and another was elderly.... why couldn't I sit down? I felt this rep needs a refresher in disability rights and to learn how not to discriminate. Not ALL disabilities can be seen by the naked eye. I am not the type to argue especially in a government/city building so I stood up and when the lady noticed this, she quickly tried to process my request to get me in and out. After a few minutes, I sat back down because of the pain I was feeling in my knee. The man, however, needs an attitude check and a reminder by HR to leave your problems at the door when clocking in to work. If the process is to not sit (which doesn't make sense.... not everyone can stand for long periods to fill out forms oR at the computer) then you should be mindful of that. Have some signs up maybe if that's the policy !

The Bicycles offered for auction come into the hands of the City of Lodi through a number of ways... They may have been Stolen, Found, or just Abandoned. The City of Lodi is required to store the Bicycles for a specific amount of time, usually 30 Days, to allow the rightful owners to establish their rightful claim to the Bikes. If there is no claim, the Bike becomes legally abandoned and therefore City Property. After taking some pictures and watching about thirty minutes of the auction, here are some of my observations... Less than five per cent of the Bicycles are in very good condition. Don't forget... these Bicycles have been Stolen or Abandoned. Odds of finding a decent Bike is better than the Lottery, but not by much. Most of the Pre-Teen Bikes are in VERY GOOD condition - if you are looking for a smaller kid-sized Bike, this auction is a good resource. One of the better looking Bikes in terms of condition, a Trek Mountain Bike went for just $20. See Bike Picture #2 - the Red Trek. Most Bikes will sell for less than $5... Yes, the Bikes are in THAT BAD a condition! Some Bikes did not even receive a bid. You will be competing with about a hundred people for about 60 to 70 Bikes. However I was quite ashamed as I had been to many business mixers before, and disappointed in the people's professionalism tonight. There were two new members to the Commerce tonight, and no one but myself clapped as these companies came forward when announced. Then me and my colleague talked to a group of proffesionals and during our discussion, not even a minute later, two of them pulled out there cell phones and started texting or something. Thank you people from Hertz, it was so kind of you. Then a pest control company we started to talk to when he was talking with another professional lady, and we asked him about his business and then he said he wasn't taking on new business, but proceeded to hand out his business info to this other woman. REALLY! This was the point in which time we left.

One of the landmarks that stands out in the City of Galt is the water tower. It can be found on C Street between 5th & 6th Street. The original wooden water tower was built in 1872 but was replaced with a metal water tower in 1936. Today this tower can be seen while driving past Galt along highway 99.
