I brought my Camry in to get Smog check at new Golden Star location. Like new spot. Was meet by service tech as I parked. Maria at front desk very nice, professional and explained process. I respect and trust this business. Good price.Quality care if my vehicle. During wait ,was able to watch new movie,about space. Good seating,spread out waiting lounge. Clean vending machine in corner. All prices and labor rates on wall. Transperity about cost of any service required. I Would recommend business to family and all friends. Friendly atmosphere, good quality auto service. Oil change may be next,only $60. I will continue coming to location as my car needs service. I'm so happy I came here!! I understand why everyone I know recommends this place! I needed a smog check and called around. I got prices ranging from $50 up to $70. I got my smog check here done at Golden Star for $36.27! Service was quick and the service was friendly and attentive. Very polite staff! Service was quick. As soon as I pulled up, someone offered to park my truck for me cause I had a big truck, nice cause it was tight to pull in. The man in the office took my info right away and provided me a statement. Bill was easily understood and affordable. Smog was done in 10 min as expected. Service was excellent as usual. I like that this smog shop doesn't require a coupon to get rock bottom prices for their service. I was turned away from another smog shop because the car I had was older and required dyno testing and their machine didn't work, but if it did, they charge 70.00 for testing and would not accept any coupon to get a discount. I called around and stumbled on to this place that quoted me over the phone for 47.00 for the same service. When I drove up, there wasn't a line and they took the car right away to start testing. The waiting area was really clean and modern with a large television, with current movies on. They even have a billboard outside stating their prices and it was less than most places that offer coupons. The workers there were super chill and service was fast. These guys just opened about 4 months ago, so they haven't built up a solid clientele yet, but hopefully they get busier so they can stay in business. I highly recommend this place for your smog, well worth your time. read more

If you have Jeep, I would not take it here. They got freaked out over my transfer case and front axle vents. They come up into the engine area. Done for high water crossing. Because of the vents they would not smog my vehicle. read more

When they're not busy, smog service can be fast~less than 10 minutes. I went there twice, once on a Monday afternoon and they were packed with cars and took me almost 45 minutes to get everything done. Then I went in on a Thursday for a different car and it wasn't busy and I was out in 10 minutes! But overall, everyone was friendly and professional. Highly recommend! And they automatically give you the $5 discount no need to ask or show coupon! read more

This place is a hidden spot for a quick smog at reasonable price. Never knew that this place exist on a small street in the corner. I passed it twice on my way and finally called the owner again to guide me the way. The owner is really good and give you best service in town with reasonable prices. He took keys from me ask me to wait the office and then I was done in 20 mins charge $35 from me for a ford truck 2000. I definitely recommend this place and will sure visit again for my next smog ! read more

We did not make an appointment but dropped our car off; the waiting room was almost packed. We ran errands and returned in about half an hour and our "testing" was almost complete. We used a coupon from the All Pro Smog website and paid an amazingly low price for the test and certificate. The shop sends electronic notice of your Temporary certificate to DMV; the temporary certificate is valid for 90 days. They are professional, experienced, efficient, and very easy to work with. We will be returning when our next family vehicle's "Smog Check" is due. They also sell tires, a handsome vast array of wheels, and they do repairs. They also do Mobile Clean Truck Check inspection service: "we come to you! Call: (209) 478-7664." Nice cleaning waiting room with lots of seating and a large TV. They understandably assumed I wanted a full diagnosis because of the different issues described rather than just a quote for the valve body repair. And to be honest, that's what the process should be like. Because what if I am wrong about the prognosis, ya know? After dropping off my car, I later received a call letting me know they don't work on transmission-valve body replacements and was charged for the diagnostic, along with a recommendation to another shop. At the time, it felt like I paid for a referral, which didn't sit right with me. Recently, I came back to discuss this with the owner, Richard. We had a great conversation and agreed it was simply a misunderstanding during a very busy day. Keep in mind that Richard is also not the person who took my car in. I am sure if he was there when I first walked in, he would have recommended me elsewhere. But what stood out to me was Richard's professionalism and integrity. You have no idea how easily he could have said "no" to my visit today because at the end of the day I signed off on the paperwork prior to handing off the keys. But instead, he took the time to hear me out and make things right--not because of the money, but because he truly cares about the customer. That kind of passion and commitment is rare in the industry, and it's clear he's one of the only ones to have maintained it for however long he's been in the business, respectfully. That said, the shop itself is spacious and welcoming, not cramped like some places that make you feel rushed. Plus, the location is great--lots of nearby stores and even a gym if you want to kill time while waiting. If you're looking for a place that values honesty and customer care, this is it. Five stars to Richard, his establishment, and the team. And if you made it this far, it's only fair that you pay them a visit :)

My grandma's previous mechanic failed/refused to repair it but United Auto took on the beast of a job & got it done. The owner Teddy even towed her car from her house to their shop & back for free whenever a new issue occurred while she's at home or work rather than her taking it over herself & getting a ride as she's the only driver in her household; also giving her discounts throughout the process. They also replaced an entire engine in my Mom's car. The team at United Auto Repair do a wonderful job on all of my family's different types & ages of cars. They are genuinely good people that make me feel like I'm not being ripped off as their prices seem reasonable to me; a person who is sort of a car-fanatic. This was one of the few times that I had used Yelp's project feature to find a mechanic. Robles's auto repair was the quickest to reply and also ended up having one of the most competitive prices. Using the project feature of Yelp allowed me to stay in constant communication with Gabriel. I was kept abreast of the repairs on my vehicle and they even stuck around a little after hours to make sure I could get my car after the repairs were done. That Stockton traffic can be a doozy. The issue with my vehicle was a leak in the radiator that Mercedes said would cost $2400 to repair at the dealership, but with Robles's auto repair, I was able to do it for under $800. The parts in general are not what's expensive just my model and Mercedes has a lot of pieces that have to be removed to get access to the radiator. Now my car is running great and I should be good for a long time. These guys were (are) great. Called them up for a quick quote and told them my scenario. I just got a new front Cat and was worried about the monitors (Engine Codes). They pre checked the computer and all was well. They then did the smog check and past with flying colors. Great guys, that talked real, friendly people and cant speak higher of them. Did my Smog here today I was just there today to get my smog done on my vehicle, and the guy who's working who's doing the spike is tested positive he has Covid and he's working, I thought that we should let other people know to stay away from the shop because he is positive with Covid read more
