The selection is good but I could not shop in peace because the workers are constantly coming by and stocking in narrow aisles .Some workers get annoyed if you want to look through the rack they are organizing. I ended up just purchasing a pair of jeans because the workers' stocking interrupted my shopping experience. The prices are pricey too. If this changes I'll return . This store is my jam. Great finds for very reasonable prices. The workers here are also very friendly, and it looks like they all get along. I have not had any bad interaction with any of the workers they have always been kind and helpful. Janet, one of the managers always treats the customers in line with care and respect at the same time keeping the lines quick and moving. Worst place to shop Not because of the customers but because of the employees. They don't say excuse me and they are super rude. It's like they own the place or they don't want to work. Now the place is organized and well maintained. Reasonable prices, somewhat well stocked. The boutique area, they are fully stocked, but they had a young guy and girl and they wouldn't stop flirting with each and they had so many customers waiting for their attention, and when they did attend them they were rude. I was walking down one aisle and this employee walked up stood in front of me and I needed to pass and she just stood there. This other employee while I was reaching for something she just walked right in front of me no excuse me or no sorry, like it was her right. This used to be a great thrift store, when it was veterans thrift. I've been coming here since I was five. And this place is just going down hill. Your automatically presumed a thief if your a male and walk in with a backpack. Because they require you to leave your backpack at the door. However...females....no matter what size your purse is...they have no problem! Yesterday i was confronted by a female employee saying i need to check in my backpack to the front and i said no, not happening. I have credit cards, id and cash and its safer on me. She called a dude coworker to show flex and i still said no. He said my backpack was was big and that id be a possible theif. I asked if they take womens purses and they said no thats different. This place is actually very organized. I was pleasantly surprised since I walked in. I just wish that they separated plus sizes. That would be my only complaint. I was able to find three cute tops and an old-school Jean jacket for my husband. Once in a while I like to go thrifting to see what I could find and create cute outfits with. Prices were awesome my shirts were less than three dollars each. I would definitely come back when I have more time. I came on my lunch break and it was actually pretty busy. It's actually pretty large as well. The isles are pretty tight so I have to keep excusing myself as I pass by people. On the other side they have jewelry house item and much more. read more

This place has been good to me but understand I do not typically shop for shoes and clothing- housewares and jewelry are more my thing. The couple of shoes or jackets I looked at were extremely overpriced. If I were to judge this place by that alone, I probably would have left with a bad taste in my mouth. The second half of the store to the back and the right (separated by a wall) is where the treasure lies. Frames, glassware, jewelry, radios, kitchenware- all this I have found well priced here. What a pleasant surprise this little gem was in Pomona! I had some time to kill before an appt. up the street, so I stopped in today based solely on their reviews. I was hesitant to try this place out because all hardcore thrifters like me know the good stuff is at the shops near the rich neighborhoods lol ... but this place surprised me! My fav shop is still the veterans one in Covina. Hands down, it has the best brands at the lowest prices and everything is always on sale. This place though - wow, their prices are insanely great! Granted, I didn't find near as many Nordstrom items as I do at my fav spot, but the pricing here is simply unlike anything I've ever seen. They change their colors of the week once a week. There will be 3 sale colors - 25%, 50%, and 75% off. When "full price"' on many items is only $1-2, the sale makes the deal insanely low! Today I got 2 sweaters, a pair of shorts, and a tank top and paid $2.99 total after tax! The housewares section was almost as large as the clothing section! I liked how they organized their plate sets ... they had them in these bookshelf-like slots instead of throwing them all over the shelf, taping together sets, etc. They had a lot more housewares than most area thrift shops, esp glassware and kitchen stuff. I live in Azusa so my fav shop is much closer, but I think I'll make the drive at least once a month and add this one to my rotation! My fiancé is from Pomona and his mom has been visiting this shop many times a week for years. I wish I'd checked it out sooner! PS, there's a neighborhood right next to the shop where you have to park, but there was plenty of street parking, so nbd at all. read more

This used to be my favorite spot. It gets the 2 stars because there's always a great selection, but since they've put in the self checkout, I am done. The line goes more than halfway through the store, meanwhile there are 5 employees managing the "self checkout" when they could just be checking people out. One in wrangling hangers. One is removing security tags, one is on their phone, one is directing customers. They'd be much more efficient CHECKING PEOPLE OUT! I don't go to Walmart and I'm not going to eco thrift anymore. There's a great selection of merchandise for great prices at this store, only if you're in the mood for being treated in most disrespectful manner possible , tonight was my 3rd time being racially profiled and abused and embarrassed simply because im black! The manager will acknowledge staff's wrongdoing but there's absolutely no correction or accountability, there's no remorse or protection for the customer either. Unfortunately I cannot support this business anymore and am in process of filing civil complaint and lawsuit if possible. It's 2023 and things that happen at eco thrift should be a thing of the past. First and foremost I would say if I'm rating on selection and service, I would give 10+ stars. The selection of clothing is great, and the staff are friendly. I'm giving 1 start because the prices have sky rocked ever since the 6 ( I think I counted 6) self service/check out registers were installed. All I can think of is the cost of maintenance for these self checkout registers have been past down to the customer. For example, many times I found men pants and shorts for $0.99+. These same items now start at $6.99 and up. That might not seem like a lot, but it adds up. Thank you for the great deals in the past, but I will be moving on to find deals else where. read more

I've been frequenting Eco for a few years now. It's been great to visit since they have such a great selection in just about everything. I usually can manage to find some great treasures and the prices have been hit or miss, depending on the day. Some things are ridiculously priced, while others are a steal. The three color tag sales going on each week can help with some of that iffy pricing though. I hadn't been here in awhile, decided to come by today, and was absolutely stunned with how high the prices have gotten. They were already pushing it the last time I visited, but today, it was really bad. A brand new Madewell bag for $160 (it probably cost that retail or less tbh), and they had Coach, Kate Spade, Dooney- $79-$100. Not all of these bags were in the best condition either. Clothing was also hit and miss, and the shoe selection was really scarce, which it usually isn't. Every single pair of Vans and Converse seemed to be $10 and up, unless it was considered kids' shoes. Housewares seemed to be the usual stock, and those prices looked a little higher than normal, but not as outrageous as elsewhere in the store. Fortunately, for this visit, I found a few great finds so it wasn't a total bust. Overall, it was really discouraging today, seeing the prices as high as they were. Not sure if I'll be making it a point to come here as much as I have in the past- selection and prices seem to be really iffy now and it just ruins the fun of thrifting. read more

I Been shopping at this place for more than 8 years + 3x a month or more, never really had a problem. Other than the workers look like they are always mad.. Well let me tell u about my incident that happened to me. One morning I was shopping at the coat/sweater section. Seen a cute grey coat (Express brand to be exact) looked at the price and noticed the tag said $17.99. Tried it on and loved it. Went to check out. While I was checking out I scanned the item and gave it to the cashier so she can take the sensor off. Well the cashier called someone oh her walkie talkie and another employee came and they talked for a while. And noticed the other girl take the coat away. So I asked the cashier "where is she taking the coat?" She replied with "we can't sell u the coat." So I said why not? and she replies with "the tag was changed to a cheaper price cus the item wouldn't be that price ($17.99) so we need to change the price to the correct price. So we can't sell it today. You will have to come tomorrow if u still wanted!!!! so I started to get a little upset!!! so asked ok and "what does that have to do with me" why can't u sell it, it has a tag.. and I didn't change the tag. It was already like that. I asked so you think I changed the tag?! And she shuck her shoulder and said idk.. so that's when I said "go ahead and check the cameras". And asked to speak to a manager. The manager was no help. Was actually rude as well. She said that store policy, it's at the wall. And I told her It says u can't sell the item if it does not have a tag. The item had a tag. Which was marked for a price. I'm trying to buy it. I didn't change the tag. Asked again to see the cameras.. We're still rude about it. So I was rude back. At that moment I asked to speak to someone above.. they called someone. The person called me back while I was still at that store. I explained my whole situation. For her to say I understand ur frustration, we're not saying u changed the tag but ppl do that. But since u really want the coat I'll go ahead and sell it for you for $39:99!!!!! I'm like what? 1st of all who are u? U haven't even looked at the item.. so I said this is stupid and ridiculous. And clicked the Call.. well mind me I went back twice noting happened.. well why right? I haven't done anything wrong.. well I went last week. While I was shopping I was approached by SECURITY and an employee. They asked me to leave the store because I been BANNED!!! like what?!!!! So I said "wait what why" no one ever told me that I was banned.. no rules, or no one ever told me I was banned!!! . Like For what reason. For speaking up?!! For trying to buy an item with a tag on it. That they thought I changed. And wanted me to pay $40 bucks for it.. And kept telling them to look at the cameras.. The place is organized nicely and they cleaned up frequently especially in the used book area where kids were playing around in. They also had another room for their boutique and their kitchenware stuff. They had some really good bags the last time I was there. Two Louis Vuitton (Greta and another style) and two wallets (Zippy and Emilie), and a Christian Dior crossbody. A lady took both purses but I got the Louis Vuitton zippy that had a broken zipper for $2. I also got hardly worn T.u.k creepers (a6802) for $14 in the mens section (25% off on yellow day and it was a yellow tag with it priced $19.96) Thank you Nicole P for messaging me about these creepers!
