It had a cigarette butt in the shower from the previous occupant and also a used towel still hanging on the shower rack. I addressed my concerns with the front desk and they told me that basically it was nothing they could do about it, and they refuse to move me to a Cleaner room. You can see the vacancies because the curtains are open of each room that is empty. They have plenty of non-smoking rooms that they just didn't want to give me. Unluckily the room was nonrefundable. The towels were stain and had hair in them. There was hair On the shower walls. A roach fell out the refrigerator when I opened it. The remote for the TV was only good for turning the channel. I had to manually get up and cut it on and adjust the volume and cut it off. There was a half burnt incense behind the door. When I got up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, it was a roach Family waiting on me. Save your money do not go to this place. They didn't even have a decent breakfast. I do wanna say a white couple was able to get a non-smoking one bedroom and there was plenty more, but I feel like since I was black, I didn't get the same options as them. Very unfair, I only wanted a decent night of sleep before my event in the area the next morning.

Immediately spoke to the guy who rented us the rooms, explained that we absolutely couldn't stay there. He promised the refund would be given and as soon as we pulled out of the parking lot, an email was received denying refund. DO NOT try to stay here. You will take creeping critters home.

Linda (the owner) gave us a fair&unbeatable price for the Larger poolside suite despite it being Mardi Gras, Valentine's day, as well as it being the weekend when we arrived. Linda was a DOLL! She took care of us, fluffed our room when we were out & reloaded our fridge with breakfast daily. She showed us around the place and welcomed us like family. I truly felt like I was at mom's house. True southern hospitality. We had a few good talks about the history of her house and her life as she once lived in New Orleans. My fiancé enjoyed talking with Linda as New Orleans is where he was born and raised. Despite our talks, Linda does not hover! Which was so appreciated, when you're on a "romantic"vacation. We had our own privacy during our stay as each suite is separate and inaccessible from where Linda stays in her home. We came and went as we please and used the hot tub at night as late as we wanted. We had our own private entrance, which was incredibly nice. The privacy was appreciated as I didn't know what to expect when we first arrived, but I was prepared to be open minded. I think I will always choose a Bed and Breakfast over a lousy hotel in the future. The rooms were grand and clean. The bathroom was nice and the shower as well. Everything was clean. Its just an old house, but I loved the cottage vibes. It was home-y. The town is walkable and cute! A Mardi Gras parade came right through down the street, during our last day there, which was nice. The poolside porch and hot tub made me feel like I was at a resort. The beauty of the home is breathtaking! Romantic cottage vibes! Perfect for couples or even a small girls trip. I will definitely be back to Linda's next year when we visit again for Mardi Gras. Linda has made me never want to stay at a hotel again.

Then th we re was no ice bucket in my room n they didn't have one at the office. Th we next morning I brought a big cup to get ice but the ice machine was empty. Not to mention you had to stand there n hold the handle on the toilet down for 10 minutes so it would flush. Terrible place. L

I was forced to get another motel after being forced from a motel in Slidell, LA due to a tornado…read moreand storm. I reserved a room here through AARP. This was the worst mistake of my week. The room assigned had only an extension to the dresser w/o a chair to sit on to use as a desk. There was no outlet for my laptop or phone in the area. It was also one of the farthest from the office. The toilet tank had a smaller than original tank to and the sound of flushing/running water was rather loud. There was a hole in the wall where something or someone had hit about 1/2 the size of a fist. When I complained to the office, I was transferred to another room. This second room did not have a working outlet on the vanity so my razor and toothbrush could not be charged there. There was a dead 1 1/2 inch roach in the tub drain. Since I was exhausted and the day was late, I elected to dispose of the roach and try to rest for the night. The next day, when I returned from my visit w/relatives, I found my electronic key no longer worked. I also noticed the room had not been done since I left in the A.M. The desk clerk made me a new key and then replaced the towels, but nothing else was done. This is a POOR excuse for a motel. I also have used super 8 in the past, but this is definitely the last. If Wyndham does this to all there motels, they will lose a LOT of customers. They are definitely losing any more from me.

The internet is a public one and you have to sign the agreement to have access. We did that and it still would connect. After getting frustrated, I called before going down to the front desk and asked Remy to assist by restarting the router. We were able to connect without having to do so and as soon as I got to our room (#206), it disconnected. After trying a few more times to reconnect, I called back down to the front desk. This time it was Tammy or Tracy. Can't quite recall her name but it started with a "T". She was AMAZING! She showed me a paper with instructions of what they need to have us do to our devices if they aren't connecting. It worked downstairs and when we got back upstairs they all didn't work. She moved our room to a different one on the same floor which worked better. During the move from the other room, we accidentally left behind my three year-old's favorite blanket. When housekeeping went to clean that room, they had accidentally wrapped up his blanket inside of the blankets on the bed. I called back down to the front desk and asked if there was anyway we could access the room again to look for it. It wasn't there and she said she'd look in the housekeeping room. She called us with great news! She was the most helpful to us during our stay. She is the reason for the 2 stars because had it not been for her, I would have given a lower rating. We've stayed here a couple of times over years traveling from Florida and this by far has been the worst experience. We won't be booking here again in the future.
