Our room. Pretty spacious for Econo Lodge :)

This hotel deserves more than 2 1/2 stars on Yelp. Staff was friendly and accomodating, location is great if you are going in to the Olympic National Park like us. About 2 hours or less to different part of the park. Room was pretty spacious and clean. Surrounding area were great. The hotel is close to Wal Mart, Rite Aid and many more shops. Only not so good thing for me was probably the breakfast. No eggs ;)

    Room interior. Pretty amazing, no?

Sheets were dirty...It is pretty far from Olympic entrance so I won't recommend this hotel too strong!

Our room was the smallest I believe at $175 a night, kinda pricey but you are facing the awesome bay views and can walk the beach with the stair access right across the street. They allowed dogs $35 per night extra so that was another perk. It was all self contained with kitchen but the fridge was an inconvenient mini fridge yet a full size stove/oven & microwave. The queen bed is also in the small room. Bathroom was tight with no shelves to unpack makeup/personals, no tub just shower. It did have a carport with bench and table/chairs for warmer weather. It did have a huge nice tv although tricky to use. There was a none big lawn area behind the cottages that offered hot tub, toys, bbqs, fire pits and kayaks etc to rent w/ life jackets. We were basically alone for the 4 nights, only saw one staff member on first day. Internet worked fine. They include a kierig w/ k-cups which was nice. I was wishing I'd brought paper plates as they just had 2 heavy ceramic plates but had most basic necessities for cooking and eating, even spices, paper towels, dish and hand soap plus toothbrushes. Overall it was pleasant stay, just tight quarters, a bit pricey and noisy bed.

Although there are many newer, more luxurious, and more amenity-rich properties in Sequim and Dungeness, the simple charm of this property and the kindness of the hosts (John and Karin) keep me coming back. Situated like sets of side-by-side duplexes, the guest rooms are cozy and super clean. There are televisions, free wi-fi, and full kitchens but no telephones. Each cottage has its own parking space and carport for your car and bicycles. There is a pasture behind the property where cows currently graze amid the backdrop of the Olympic mountains. The front of the property are panoramic views of incredible sunsets, the bay, the Dungeness Spit, the Strait of Juan de Fuca, British Columbia, the San Juan Islands, and on and on. There is a nice bbq on the property that's available for guests to share. At night, it's pitch black and dead silent. The beauty of this respite from urban assaults on the senses can take getting used to by folks who have forgotten how magical this type of stillness is. I love nighttime walks with flashlight looking for deer. Deer are everywhere, literally, day and night. John and Karin are excellent resources for places to go and things to do if you're new to the area. They're honest and discriminating and won't steer you to a place just because it's popularly touristy; if it's not good, they'll tell you so and give better recommendations. I love this place!

The room is pretty standard, spacious, and a comfortable bed. No frills. The exterior of the hotel is cute with some flowers and parking is just right outside. We chose not to utilize the pool/hot tub but at a glance, could use an update. The complimentary breakfast has various continental hot and cold items like bagels, waffle maker, eggs, sausage and yogurt. There is also a table of snacks and water you can take with you for your day of adventures which I loved! I would stay here again as a good middle area to venture around Olympic National Park!

Whoever took the call said it was no problem we won't charge you since it's weather related. Next thing you know by the end of the trip, they double charged. We spoke to the front desk who said he will adjust with the manager. Apparently they gave us a credit back but was still charged the first night we didn't show up. I understand it could be policy but feel like there was no sympathy there. Corporate America at its finest. Hotel prices are a bit steep and it's not even a Sheraton. They offer a lot of snacks but breakfast was subpar. And there was a lady that didn't seem like she wanted to work there.

My husband handled the booking, so I can't speak to that, but Dwight (the owner) gave us a thorough rundown of the area and gave us some great suggestions for food and hiking when we checked in - no need to spend time researching! ROOM - We stayed in the Creekside room which was fabulous! So spacious, double sinks and shower heads, inviting fireplace and comfortable bed. What more could you ask for?? BREAKFAST - No continental breakfast crap here! How about a 5 star breakfast instead? So filling and tasty with veggies and fruit. You will not leave for a hike crashing. Our Dragonfly Suite had a nice outdoor area that faced the forest, great for summer evenings. Cozy, comfortable, and luxurious accommodations for sure. We arranged to bring our dog and this was such a perfect place. There was so much acreage to roam around and explore, which made it fun for our big dog and us as well. LML is a truly special place. And the breakfasts--wow. Chef-prepared food with local ingredients. This was a bit of a splurge but I don't think we'll want to stay anywhere else while we're on the peninsula.

They have several units to choose from, but we chose the "Perch", which was the largest. It didn't disappoint! We didn't even use half the space! Currently, check-in is anytime after 2:00pm. We checked ourselves in and upon entering, found a spacious "home"! Divided by a set of stairs, there is a murphy bed (sleeps 2), bath & shower, dining area and full kitchen to the left. On the dining table was a lovely note addressed to us by the hosts Craig & Michelle, accompanied by a bottle of wine and a bowl of granola bars. Then, in the refrigerator, there was a nicely adjourned box nestled with yogurts, orange juice, hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit, a small bottle of Prosecco (for mimosas) and chocolate! We turned around and on the kitchen counter was a plate of local pastries! In the room on the other side of the stairs is another bedroom (sleeping 2-3), king bed, full bath and sitting area with coffee maker and coffee pods. Downstairs by the front door is a living room with TV, comfy couch & chair, wet bar, small fridge and washer/dryer! As everyone knows, with a home or business, there will always be times of repair and/or construction. Currently, the upper deck is being repaired, so we weren't able to take advantage of that. Instead, we took a long walk along the water, watched the eagles soar overhead, waved at people passing by and enjoyed the fresh sea air! Eating at local restaurants is always a plus and enjoying wine in the evenings watching the sun lower gently on the horizon out of sight made this trip, along with our fabulous hosts, Craig & Michelle, all worthwhile. Thank you for making our local getaway a special one!
