Just spent a wonderful weekend here. Dwight met us upon arrival. He gave us lots of great advice on what to see and do and where to eat. Our Dragonfly Suite had a nice outdoor area that faced the forest, great for summer evenings. Cozy, comfortable, and luxurious accommodations for sure. We arranged to bring our dog and this was such a perfect place. There was so much acreage to roam around and explore, which made it fun for our big dog and us as well. LML is a truly special place. And the breakfasts--wow. Chef-prepared food with local ingredients. This was a bit of a splurge but I don't think we'll want to stay anywhere else while we're on the peninsula. read more

Now THIS is a bed & breakfast! No continental breakfasts here, no siree! My husband and I needed a quick, last minute getaway, and after a bit of research, we decided on Lost Mountain Lodge. And we are SO glad we did. We checked in Friday night and out Sunday. My husband handled the booking, so I can't speak to that, but Dwight (the owner) gave us a thorough rundown of the area and gave us some great suggestions for food and hiking when we checked in - no need to spend time researching! ROOM - We stayed in the Creekside room which was fabulous! So spacious, double sinks and shower heads, inviting fireplace and comfortable bed. What more could you ask for?? BREAKFAST - No continental breakfast crap here! How about a 5 star breakfast instead? So filling and tasty with veggies and fruit. You will not leave for a hike crashing. My father bought my husband and I "a weekend getaway" to the Lost Mountain Lodge. We really didn't know what to expect, but knew that Sequim was a beautiful area. To say that we were blown away at how beautiful the property was would be an understatement. It was gorgeous. Dwight, the innkeeper at the Lodge, took his time checking us in and gave us a ton of info on the surrounding restaurants and points of interests. Unfortunately we could only stay one night so we didn't have a lot of time to explore everything, but most definitely enjoyed every minute we had there. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and relaxing. It was informal, sort of a "come as you are" feeling. Really loved it. We plan on bringing more family over here for a long weekend to explore and have fun. Thank you to Dwight and all of the staff for giving this couple a much-needed weekend of relaxation! read more

RE: Owner's comment. Very sorry to hear about the owner's wife's health, truly. However, his wife was there the entire we were at the Lodge. He obviously has his guests confused, because his monologue about what I did at his "lodge" (its a house) is inaccurate and sounds more like an ad for the place than concern for our miserable experience. The owner says "special" food was prepared for us. Untrue. And we had no popcorn, My wife was along and he seems to talk about me as if I was there by myself. So the comments are quite inacurate. Lastly, he says I "am cruel to people who open their home to strangers.." as if his business is one of benevolence and not profit. I seem to remember paying a LOT of money for our suite, way above local rates. read more

I can't say enough about what a treasure this lodge is. I'm compelled to write another review after Dwight was kind enough to suggest staying in the Creekside Suite. It was private but best of all was the fireplace seen from your bed and the deep soaking tub! An extraordinarily large bathroom suite with a shower that would hold 6 people! An adjoining sitting area overlooks the lush surroundings and has access to a large deck. The breakfast are superb and that is no exaggeration! I've stayed many times and it feels like home...no other place compared so don't look any farther! read more

My fiancé and I stayed at this lodge twice in 2019 and had fresh breakfast, fresh air, friendly interactions with staff and guests, and booked in-room couples massages! They have a host of movies for borrowing downstairs, warm rooms with ample ventilation when needed, and lots of beautiful light. The place has easy access to all of Sequim, and we enjoyed so many different activities on both trips (spring and summer). We plan to come back after our wedding in June 2020. Visited the first week of August 2014. Had a great three day stay. This is more of a Bed & Breakfast operation than a lodge. We stayed in the "Hideaway on Quail Lake" suite. It has a very large bedroom with lots of windows looking out on the beautiful grounds. Two sets of French doors open up and let the breezes in. A comfortable window seat looks out over the lake. The suite also had a small kitchen with a microwave. The Lodge serves breakfast each morning. A very good breakfast. It became something we looked forward to. Bed was very comfortable with nice sheets. Large bathroom with hot tub. Small cheapie shower that looked out of place. Plenty of towels. Free and fast WiFi. Our suite was a short walk from the main lodge building. We saw no rain during our one week trip to the area. If it was rainy it might be nice to stay in the main building. Lots of good restaurants are a short drive away in Sequim. We drove to Olympic National Parks Hurricane Ridge and several other scenic areas. I would visit this place again. Our suite was a bit pricey, but worth it for a splurge. read more

Mandy and I had an amazing trip to Sequim in April. I have been racing bicycles there for 17 years and new Sequim was a great place but then we found Lost Mountain Lodge. I reached out to the owners and Dwight answered within minutes. I asked questions and he asked why we were coming to Sequim. I told him we wanted to get away and saw Lost Mountain Lodge and it had everything we wanted. We arrived and it was much more than we expected. Dwight greeted Mandy and I and told us everything we wanted to know about Sequim: best places to eat for breakfast and dinner, tourist spots, not so touristy spots and even better his personal favorites. Lost Mountain Lodge is super quiet, has the old DVD's/VHS movies, popcorn, coffee/lattes and desserts to enjoy. We went out for lunch and came back to sit on the porch and many deer came out to eat the grass and relax like we were. It was just a peaceful day and Lost Mountain Lodge is tucked away with little ponds and tall trees to make you feel like you're out in the wilderness. Obviously we had an amazing time and can't wait to go back and enjoy the Lost Mountain Lodge again and talk with the owners. This place is amazing and it started when I made my reservation with the attentiveness to detail and the true hospitality. Kathy stayed in touch with us and was so welcoming when we arrived. She was a wealth of information on places to visit and events that were happening in the area. We stayed in the Creekside room which is very large and the bed was very comfortable and the fireplace made for a nice setting. Sophia served us a wonderful gourmet breakfast each morning and the Pancotta was wonderful! After a long day of hiking each day we were able to relax in the hot tub. I had my wedding at the Lost mountain lodge in Sequim. The ceremony was beautiful, until the reception came. My trust in Chef Grace and crew was disappointing. My guest and family were served raw chicken and cold food. The service was terrible! Just to let you know that you destroyed my wedding reception, very unprofessional service . Serving a RAW chicken , cold food , no water no serving spoon. It's embarrassing . How could you let things happen like this in somebody's wedding and a special day for couple? . As a worldwide Travel Blogger on Thirdage.com I have a few very favorite places to which I return: Buenos Aires, Aregentina; Kilorglin, Ireland; Sequim, Washington. I have now stayed at Lost Mountain Lodge three times, April, June and July of this year (Rooms: Sunny View, The Guest House and the Dragonfly). Talk about R&R, this place is joy, peace and delight...did I mention the spotted owl that came to breakfast this week on the outside deck (on their Facebook: Lost Mountain Lodge)? Or the regular visits of hummingbirds, deer and eagles? If you are heading to the Olympic National Park this is the only place you should stay. To be fair I did try a lovely quaint Inn in Forks (ala The Twightlight Saga) last week. I won't do that again. There is no upscale lodging on the entire west coast of the peninsula, none! Next time I head to the west coast of the Olympic Peninsula I will just leave early that day from Lost Mountain Lodge and come back the same day (it was just under two hours to get there). My husband and I stayed here for our 1 year anniversary in December. Our anniversary is right before Christmas- so we had the entire lodge to ourselves. The entire staff was so friendly, kind and accommodating. We brought our own champagne and 'wedding cake' (We used the guest fridge in the kitchen.- in case someone else has the same idea) The lodge is relaxing and inviting. There is a hot tub outside, fire place in the living room, (we also had a fireplace in our room) Every morning we had an enormous, home-cooked, delicious breakfast. Everything was more than amazing!! My wife and i won a 2 day stay here. We had a wonderful time! Breakfast was beautiful and tasty, we enjoyed our time in the Jacuzzi under the stars, and even found some remote control boats to race in a nearby pond. BEAUTIFUL LOCATION!! So pretty my friends were getting annoyed with me for sending pictures all weekend! AMAZING FOOD!! The breakfast was the best we have had in years. Melt in your mouth scones! Every bite of fruit was perfectly ripe! Egg dishes were delicate and fluffy! GREAT PEOPLE!! We've been coming here for four years on our anniversary and we love everything about it. The owners are super sweet, thoughtful, and go above and beyond with kindness. Their daily breakfast is often very delicious and is a part of your stay. They have a large outdoor hot tub that is well kept and always a treat. Sometimes they have Groupon deals as well. We've stayed in more than one of their rooms, and they are all wonderful! This is our anniversary retreat, and highly recommend staying here. read more

Spectacular Perfect location, it's half hour from some of the best hikes and site seeing in Olympic national forest. The owner (Dwight) is delightful. He took the time when we arrived to sit down with maps and post cards to give us an idea of what was cool, where the locals go, and I felt like we had a private concierge. We stayed in the guest house, amazing! Fire place, bath tub, luxury bedding. The bedroom had its own private patio and a nice cobblestone patio with a grill on the side of the house. It was cozy, warm, and welcoming. The kitchen was supplied with everything we needed , plenty of extra towels and our room was refreshed while we hiked. Little cookies and treats were left for us. Robes were hanging with slip on shoes for comfort. Each morning breakfast was served in the grand room and it wasn't just eggs and toast, these are gourmet breakfasts cooked as you walk in. There is a hot tub out back which was GREAT to hop into early in the morning or after a long day out and about. Everyone was so nice! You were always greeted with a smile. My husband and I stayed here in September 2013, and we still talk about our visit there (especially the breakfast)! After jumping in the car with stuff thrown together for an impromptu weekend getaway, we headed into the Olympic Peninsula with no idea where we were going to stay. We called around to several places with no luck until we found the number for the Lost Mountain Lodge. The owner was very helpful and accommodating, and offered us a great last minute deal. When we arrived at the lodge, he was super informative and knowledgeable about the area. He gave us tips on where to eat in town, hikes to take and other things to do in the area. We ended up taking his suggestion for a locally sourced restaurant in town that night and we were not sorry. The breakfasts were beyond delicious. My husband maintains that these were the best breakfasts he had ever had (not at home, of course :)). They were three course meals with lots of local fare. The chef also made us some lavender lemon cookies, and those were such a nice treat! Our overall stay was very comfortable, with every need cared for. I made lattes every day and we also enjoyed popcorn and a movie one night from the wide selection of DVD's they offer. Our room was lovely, and very cozy. We also tried out the hot tub one night while stargazing, and it was a really nice treat away from city life! Thank you, Lost Mountain Lodge Staff; we hope to visit again soon! read more

We stayed here for two nights in May 2017 amidst the gorgeous flowers. Husband and I were in the Dragonfly suite, huge and modern; it is a few steps away from the main lodge. Bathroom is small but well set up. The suite has a big living area, fireplace, bar sink area, sofas, sliding glass doors to a scenic outside. The delightful owner was extremely thoughtful both before we visited and after we got there; he made sure we knew how to get there from the airport and he spent time with us to help us plan our days on the peninsula. I let them know I am gluten free when I reserved, and Chef Jen had creatively prepared menus to accommodate me with the same delicious food she was making for all. The beautiful dining room has separate tables for custom dining, which I prefer over one big table with one set time. This B&B is a dream perfect place! read more

Nothing more than a motel with a nice duck pond. Advertised with "unlimited lattes", but I couldn't even make one latte! Inn keeper (Dwight) kicked me out of the kitchen and accused me of causing them to lose their health inspection code in Washington. Crazy, I am telling you. read more

Dwight and his team were extremely welcoming, kind, and knowledgeable about the area, which helped as we were only there for one night and wanted to make the most of our trip. My fiancé and I stayed in the Moonbeam suite for 2 nights. It was absolutely fantastic. The owner Dwight gave us more than enough suggestions on what cool sights to see while we were here (which we spent 2 full days doing). They have a chef make a fantastic breakfast every morning and the best part is it keeps you full until much later in the day. Dwight and his wife, Sally, along with the manager Kathy were very warm and welcoming and were all about making sure we had a great stay. The morning cook (I don't remember his name, unfortunately) was also very warm and welcoming. He was all about us relaxing and enjoying our food. Fantastic. The grounds are also very beautiful with a few ponds to discover and flowers to admire. The bed was fantastic ( I slept like a baby). The room was very nice with multiple sky lights and a warm decor. I would deffinatley recommend this to anyone, especially if your looking for a romantic get away. Also, while your there, go check out the Olympic game farm. So much fun! This place is grat getaway with an amazing breakfast selection. They have a hot tub by the pond and they will set up reservations for you and give you ideas of things to do while your there. I wouldn't reccommend staying in the Hidaway Lodge. It's connected to another house and the kitchen isn't that accommadating. The owners are kind of hard to get a hold of when you need them as well which can be pain when something isn't working, etc. read more

We just returned from a lovely 2 night stay in the Creekside Suite and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The suite was beautiful, comfortable, and huge (the bathroom alone was bigger than most hotel rooms!). It was very private and we were just steps away from the wonderful hot tub overlooking the pond. The hosts were very gracious and helpful, making many recommendations for activities during our stay and making dinner reservations for us both nights. Breakfast was delicious both mornings and my only complaint was that I couldn't finish it all. The lodge hosts are very detail oriented and anticipated virtually every need we would have. There was a sense of "rules" that was somewhat unusual for a B and B, but the benefit of this was that everything was spelled out and our needs were fully met (down to providing a cooler and ice,and soft drinks for our day out driving around). The grounds were lovely and well-maintained, as was the interior of the house. And our stay included warm conversations with other guests and the chef at breakfast if we wished. It's not an inexpensive stay, but was well worth it. We will definitely return if we visit the area again! read more
