If I could give this company -5 stars I would. It didn't start out that way. I was referred to Jesse by a friend at work. He came out the day I called him. Jesse was nice at first and was obliged to fix one of my wrought iron gates that kept getting stuck and jamming when it closed. After Jesse fixed it, it did work for about a day. After two days, though, it was getting stuck again. Jesse said it was impossible, but would come out to look at it and fix it. He thought I did it on purpose and asked who came through my gate (which no one did) and basically called me a liar. Several days later, the door got stuck again. The same problem had to be fixed at least three times, where I was charge more than once. Jesse looked at my other entrance gate (which I do admit was over 20 years old and a bit rusty) and said he could fix that gate and would give me a decent price for it. The door for that gate also had a little trouble in closing, but wasn't nearly as bad as the other one. The only problem with that gate was that it was old and rusty. It didn't have any problems with malfunctioning. Jesse basically replaced all the parts and when he supposedly measured that area, put new parts in completely crooked. There now is a diagonal gap where the two parts meet vertically, and a huge crooked gap at the bottom going across. The side wrought iron fence at the top isn't level as well. The old gate I had was old and rusty granted, but it was level. When I told Jesse, he said all he was there for was to make a repair, not to put in a new fence. Which is exactly what he did. All I wanted was a repair or a fix for the bottom part. And what Jesse did was he put in replacement parts which are now not at all straight and there's a huge gap at the bottom. There was also a part at the bottom toward my retaining wall that had made that gate more secure at the base and Jesse basically threw that part away and didn't put a part in to replace it. The price he charged me for doing the job wasn't that bad, but now it's going to cost me more than 5 times the amount to get it fixed since it wasn't done right. I even showed pictures of the end product of the gate to another contractor and he even said it was poorly designed and installed, obviously measured incorrectly, and not at all level. read more

On the very first day of the job, Jesse, Herbie's son, decided that he needed and "early lunch" at 10:25 and never showed up for the job. I waited an hour and a half for him at our rental property and when I finally got a hold of him at 11:45, letting him know that I was going to hire another company to do the job, he asked me if I was having a bad day. He went from blaming, to begging, to giving every excuse an irresponsible kid can give. It was pitiful. At first, the name was a bit of a concern because I thought the company might be named "Economic" because they used less than the best materials.
