I have worked with Alberto for years and he is always helpful and responsive to my needs.

I just needed to pick out 40 cedar fence boards and have them cut. I spoke to Bryan on the phone told him what I wanted 1 min later he had a price. Went there 3 hours later Bryan took me to the yard and helped me pick out the boards. Their boards were much better than HD and $1.10 less. They cut them loaded them in my van. As I waited 2 of the staff asked me if I needed help and were very friendly. Could not have been any better. read more

They gave my parents a quote of $13,000 on-site quote to replace their fence, and told them that they would give a final quote after going to the office. The final quote was $22,000 after they figured in something they call the "area factor" or something like that. What it means is if you live in a more expensive home "area," they charge you more, because they figure you can afford it. The guy actually told my parents that if they lived in Oxnard, it would be $13,000. So, they size you up, based on how much money they think you have. The initial quote was given by someone at the property, after it was inspected. They said the same job in Oxnard would cost less. You pay laborers more, based on the community. All jobs should cost the same per hour for labor. read more

Fence Factory at Moorpark is who we worked with on a chainlink fence with my neighbor. Tony is the guy we worked with and he was helpful and responsive. Especially through email. They installed approximately 65' fence 5' high chainlink fence on a hillside slope in backyard. They also came in more reasonably price similar to Home Depot. I had two other companies asking for twice as much for the same job, and they said it is due to increase constractuction costs due to pandemic. Fence Factory is definitely reasonably priced for our job. My neighbor is the one who found them, I may have not gone with Fence Factory due to the ratings, which I am sad to see, since we had a good experience. I'd at least always use them to get an estimate for a good comparison. Tony was professional and ways pretty quick to response. read more

What a hidden gem!! Our fence broke and we had to order a random piece. I had no idea where to go but showed up here and they were so great! They were able to order the part for me and it came within a couple of days. They even gave my daughter a donut and helped her find their "office cat". It was such a fun experience!! Figured I'd share our experience in order to alert others of this companies lack of professionalism, respect for their customers, and inability to follow up with customers. I have attempted to communicate with their corporate representative Ralph Silva regarding the issues that I experienced with their Moorpark location but have been met with nothing but smoking mirrors and BS. Ralph Silva was no better than a used car salesmen and led us on thinking a resolution was near. He even fed us crap regarding the owner being a veteran to be relatable. My horrible experience began when my wife placed an order totaling over $10,000 for fencing material through their location out of Moorpark. Unfortunately, the service provided was a complete nightmare. My wife was the primary POC for the transaction and given that we had never had a fence installed and knew nothing about it we were under the assumption that we had come to a company that advertised themselves as experts in this field. Sadly, that is far from the truth and wish I had taken my business and money elsewhere. After we paid for the material that we believed to be accurate, based on the conversations and emails with the sales representative, all contact became non-existent. Whenever my wife attempted to retrieve a status update, no calls back where conducted. Upon arrival of our fence material, our private fence installer noticed some items were missing and would hinder his abilities to install the fence. He went back on several occasion to the location, in an attempted to figure things out with staff. We ended up spending additional unexpected money only to again have the incorrect items. Finally, my wife had to take time off work to personally go in herself to resolve the issue as our project was placed on hold. Her experience with the staff including the on-site manager was extremely disappointing, unprofessional and borderline sexist. After much back and forth it was established that the salesperson assumed that we needed a straight fence with no corners, which left us with missing posts that were a custom order. My wife has records of her email exchanges with the salesperson and never once was she asked for a layout of the property or asked if there were corners or not. Due to this mistake, we had to wait another 4-6 weeks for the missing posts to be made and we're told that we would have to either pick up the post ourselves when they are ready or pay another delivery fee. The manager said "his delivery trucks aren't working" so they can't deliver if we don't pay another fee. How is it possible that after acknowledging that the order was placed incorrectly, we are expected to pay another delivery fee for their mistake! We are beyond dissatisfied with our experience as customers, we came to this company expecting professionalism in all aspect of our purchase. After the in person visit my wife left feeling disrespected by the managers arrogance and lack of customer service skills, as well as defeated and exhausted by the idea that she must once again have to battle the repercussions of the staffs mistake regarding delivery of the missing posts. Given that we have already spent over $8,000 dollars on the fencing material at that point we had no choice but to finish this unpleasant experience with this location and order the missing material. It has been such a headache and caused other landscaping arrangements to be delayed and rescheduled. ***Please reconsider other options before committing to this company because once you right that check, you will be at their mercy. read more

The company has good products but who ever works the front desk or customer service is the worst! I have called numerous times for quotes and they let me know they will call back, but never do. I just called today and rep said he will call back in 10-20 min, I never received a call or messaged and once I call back it's are closed. And i have been calling since Wednesday regarding the pricing, it's now Friday. I just don't understand how they don't call back with quotes, I'm willing to buy something but it seems to they refuse to even try. When they don't call back, try a company called dynamic fencing in the valley, better customer service... the company needs to switch out who ever runs front desk ASAP. read more

I have had to use them 5 or more times. They typical reschedule anywhere from 2-5 times before actually starting your job after scheduled. 100% of the times I have hired them they screw up, don't complete the job correctly. In the end it is a ton of stress and brain damage but the will eventually get the job complete and correctly. Every time I hire them I tell my self I will not use them again. Living in Malibu, they are one in the only options.. If you have other options use them! I see Amanda, an employee one month later posted a response to my above review. Funny, I just called and spoke to Art again today as one of my horse tenants needs some fence work. I have called Art at your office twice now because in two weeks you still have not had someone to come out to give her an estimate. Pretty typical... We had extensive wind damage to our fence and gate along the side of our house. Tony came out and gave us a reasonable quote. Because we had to wait for our insurance company to process our claim, it was a couple months before we could start the project and Fence Factory honored our previous price quote. Just want to update my review. This business posted a response to my review and made it sound like they tried to get in contact with me when they really didn't. They did not respond to me until I posted a negative review. When they did respond they said they would put me in contact with their regional manager or something. That of course never happened. The responses to negative reviews is just a way for them to save face on yelp. Totally disingenuous! What a joke. Have bought from them for years....(NOT ANY MORE) I bought a $35.00 gate latch that I was told I could return if did not fit. I brought it back 2 days later and was charged a $3.00 return fee that I was never told about by smiley the terrible manager. I've called and spoken with someone 4 times to get a fence built. Every time I was told a sales associate would have to call me back within 24 hours. Never got callbacks. I called once in the middle of the week during business hours and was told no one was working that would be able to help me with an estimate. We are very satisfied with the quality of the work we had done on a small balcony railing but...... The guys just left after they finished without us having the chance to look at it and my wife was home! The next day we saw a noticeable crack in the stamped painted concrete patio below the job, which was not there the day before. Thus we had to assume that the ladder caused the crack or they dropped something, which they denied. In discussions with the General Manager, he strongly desired to make any problem we had right. He personally made the effort to visit the job site and review what had happened. His desire to correct any problem and his passion about the Fence Factory and their commitment to quality and service was very evident. The situation was corrected with his help and we would use the FF again and recommend them. read more

My neighbors hired this company to do a fence and part of it was on my side but only about 12 feet as I have chain fence around except for that part. We have hedges on the fence and the guy keep pushing on the fence and trying to put the hedges over on our side but really pushing I thought he would break the fence until till he was told he was being recording and why was he doing it. He said to move the hedges. When they were doing the side by our open part they exposed a pipe didn't tell us and we had to call the owner to make sure it wasn't a gas pipe or something else that that could affect our house. Then they went to do their gate and did it in our yard by welding it and sparks were burning the grass and hitting the tree but it didn't catch on fire as i had water all of it really well that day. The also sprayed some stuff on on the gate in our yard. These people don't care how they do the job or what other property they damage so beware when hiring them as i would never hire them to do anything. read more

First off, VERY unprofessional business. I called to get a quote. Tony came over to my home, he very nice and measured and let me know he would email me a quote, that was on Monday. On Thursday I called requesting my quote as I had other bids to compare to. By Friday evening at 4:40 I received a phone call and message from Tony which seemed like an afterthought. He described on the phone what I had requested and what he had measured for. He told me I should sit down before he said the results of his bid of $22,000 He let me know he'd be in the office for another 20 minutes and then on the road in the car I could call him and then he would talk to me again the following week which included a vacation day on Monday. I never heard back from them again and have now had the job done by the other bidder which was $3,200 using the same design and plan and materials that fence factory was quoting me. I'm not sure what that was $20,000 over other bids. Why no one wanted to do the job bad enough to contact me again and see how I felt about the quote is beyond me. . Feeling like I'm being taken advantage of as a single woman. Shame on you Fence Factory. Do business with honest people only. By the way, look into getting any of your fencing or metal work done? Fence Factory, Agoura Hills installed a gate for me a few years ago. They should have advised me that a solid gate in a wind prone area was not a good idea (they are supposed to be the professionals, after all!). The gate has subsequently bent from the wind, and after several phone calls that were never returned, I am having another fence company look at my gate and and help me fix the problem. I will never use Fence Factory again, and I will not recommend them to anyone else. Also, the gate was supposed to be powder coated, but after the gate bent from the wind, we noticed that the powder coating did not cover the parts of the gate where rails were placed, so the gate is rusting underneath after only 2 years! read more
