This place is wonderful. First let me say Michelle is honest and very knowledgeable when it comes to getting a car in bankruptcy. Other places I went to gave me the run around, Michelle took me step by step, what to expect etc. My approval went quickly because I had a lease to turn in and I'd been working on this since March. Within a week of contacting Economy, paperwork was sent over and between the trustee and the judges approval I was in my new car in less then 2 weeks. I'm driving a car I've wanted for the past year. Where do I begin? I totaled my truck the end of March and is currently in a open bankruptcy. I had been getting the run around from different car dealerships (even with the approval from my trustee). But, I found Economy Auto during a google search and completed the online application. Within the hour Michelle called back and took additional information from me. The next day, she called me back with an approval with the terms from my trustee. 2 days later, I went into the office and left there with my 2014 Chevy Equinox (low mileage and low interest). This place is awesome if you need a NEWER, RELIABLE car and you have BAD credit. This is not for people that have a 650+ FICO score. You have other options available. Go to Carmax and look through 1000's of cars. This service deals mainly with people that have bankruptcies, severe credit issues and can't get financing anywhere. They are very much needed in Chicago because they provide an excellent service to a community that is normally forced to buy cars with cash. They have excellent cars and trucks but somewhat of a limited selection. But if they tell you that, "You're approved!" it is not like other dealers.... that means you can come and purchase a car.... for sure. I saw some previous posts about their bad insurance and GAP insurance... these are not controlled by the dealer, they simply resell a product. You have to understand what you are reviewing! They took you and your bad credit and they sold you a great car..... you got in an accident and now you are frustrated at them? Come on now... I've thrown up at a carnival and didn't leave a review about the popcorn making me sick. lol. Omg. These folks are great! You become like one of the family. Michelle is a living example of excellent customer service and trustworthy. If she calls you and say you are pre qualified for a vehicle after many have said no or tried to get over, count on Michelle to restore the representation of dealerships. She called and said I would spend literally two hrs or less getting my paperwork done and that I would speak directly to her. After many bad experiences where people would call and say they'll be the person to speak to and I get to the dealership and they aren't there and I end up dealing with someone else saying something totally different. Good morning. So yesterday I was able to pick me up a vehicle. Thanks to Michelle at Economy auto Mart. She was very pleasant and consistent. She knows her job and she's great at it . Moves swiftly and on point with every detail i mean it was quick and fast . Prior to the day of my pick up Michelle already had my approval by the courts & lenders that I can just come in and pick a car based on my income and sign the release papers . Yes I am on Chapter 13 and it was a great opportunity plus I didn't need a consigner . I picked a Black Kia Forte 2014 it was clean in the inside just needed a touch up on the outside interior and the brakes!!! Thanks to Berto he put new ones on before I drove off the lot. The wipers were ok the sound of the car was quiet, the tires were good but I know that soon I'll need some new ones everything works in the car so far I'll give you updates in few months. This place is a bunch of BS! Flyers have came to my home since my Ch 13 BK has been discharged. I did a CH 13 - 5 YR BK and it off in 3YRS. That along should tell you my character. I don't have family or friends that can co-sign for me. Applied online. Michelle calls right back and leave a VM on 10/3/18. She states I know you live in WI and other dealerships tell you so much to get you in, but I'll be honest before you drive over to Illinois. Ok. 2 weeks pass, she hasn't called or said anything. Every time I call her, her assistant says she isn't in or she on the other line or she just stepped out. She never return calls. I call from my cell number she doesn't answer. Calls from my work # she answers right away; maybe because it said such and such Credit Union. Finally talk to her. Ty, you don't need a co signer. I can work with the $500 down a d $306/month. I found a financing company in California. I think it was CRS or something like that. Googled them-they were horrible too. Anywho. Michelle says I found you a 2014 Hyundai. About 11,000 miles. Not bad. I'm like ok. She said I'll have the guy here to clean it up and I'll send you pictures. Never heard from her again. Called their office daily. No Michelle. Today, 10/25/18 I get home and I have an adverse (decline) letter in the mail. My thing is all of that to tell me I'm declined. I want to call you out of your name. Be a woman of your word. That's what's wrong with a lot of you salesman now. I know my credit score isn't the greatest and I've told you that when I applied online and you called me right back. You can give a person a verbal denial. Don't have me calling your office daily and you have your assistant saying you're still working on it. This place is a bunch of BS! I purchased my vehicle in May 2016. With my income & credit combined, I thought that it would be impossible to get into a vehicle. Also, with all of the bad experiences I had with other cars, I didn't want to end up in another lemon or an older model car. When I spoke to Michelle over the phone, I was very specific in what I wanted despite my credit and income challenges because I did not want to come there and "wast my time". What I can say is that they live up to what they advertise. I went in, test drove the cars to my specification, chose the car that I wanted and signed on the dotted line. The car was in mint condition (like new) and I got really great financing through a great financing company. I got more than what I bargained for! Thought I found some luck, that is until my car was total loss in an accident. What ever you do, DO NOT get their "in-house' insurance. I was very young at the time and didn't know any better. After the total they gave a month and a half run around about pay out. To my disgust they send a check with their name and mine . Only I didn't have too much of a problem with that as I thought part of the funds would go to me to get another car because it was financed. But no, they took every penny leaving me without a pot to piss in. These bastards will get whats coming to them. I had to dig into savings for a another car.
