Bought a 2018 RAV4 Hybrid AWD for $22K for a friend. After doing research, the invoice price on that model was about $25k-$25k. I thought it was too good, so I looked up the dealership online. A lot of the reviews claimed a bait and switch. Being paranoid, I requested the VIN number on the model I was being quoted, and I told them I wanted to test drive it when I got there. Car was exactly what I expected. VIN matched, and haven't run into any issues yet and seeing as how it's covered with Toyota's bumper to bumper warranty, I think it'll be good. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars - Dealership's A/C wasn't all that great, and there were only 2 finance guys that took quite long. Price was all good, but waiting it a hot dealership with better things to do because the finance guys were taking their sweet time irritated me. Also, other dealerships had free snacks. They had a vending machine that was quite cheap, but would've liked the complementary snacks. read more

I'm still leaving 1 star in hopes it helps others. However, John Gavin from Patriot Motors called me personally and RESOLVED the problem. He agreed what was done to me was not right. They credited me for those charges which came off the back end of my contract. But the original contract is still being honored and not the new one. So my monthly payment is still the higher one. It still works out because the charges have been credited so I'll just be paying off a little bit quicker. read more

This place is going downhill fast. Don't bother making an early appointment - I had one for 7:00, it meant nothing. Bought new tires. They charged me 3% on my credit card - 3% of about 800 bucks. What? I have to pay an extra $25 to use my credit card. I leave the place with new tires, the tire pressure light comes on in 5 minutes. Have to take it back. If slum lords were a car dealership. Took in my truck for some bolt replacement and they held it for four days. The replacement takes 45 mins tops and I would do it myself but I didn't have the jack and it was going to take 2 weeks for the part to get to me so I thought this would be cheaper. When I got there to claim my truck it had not been worked on, looked at, or even moved. They tried to charge me over $150 for having done absolutely nothing. They said they did an inspection but they were literally just quoting the written report I gave them from my mechanic. Scam artists who are sexiest. Never go here. Do not shop at this dealer. They use deceptive practices. Went in to negotiate and they were firm on the price, which needed up being ok because the price was still fair. The only way they would sell me the car was to pay for their "optional" coverages. They claim these are optional but told me they would not sell me the car for the price they had listed without the coverages. The used car sales manager said that it is up to them if they want to sell a car or not to a customer based on financing with them or paying for their extra "protections ". Waste of time and drive. I replied I have no idea what the price is. He says it's $53,495. I ask what the MSRP is and here is where the salesman starts backpedaling. Oh we don't charge MSRP. We charge $4,000 over. Ok who buys MSRP? Or who buys over? I reply I'm not interested in paying more than MSRP. I was searching for Toyota Cross in Celestine color. I tried a few different dealers and they dragged my around. Nobody has this car and Toyota on Western did not have it either. They were honest about it and let me know when they can get it for me. They didn't try to sell me another car. Even though this place is far away from me, I still don't regret driving there. My advice to take Dan Ryan if you are coming from the west suburbs and not Western from 290. Afif Nasseredine - my sells person went above and beyond to help me. A little over two weeks ago, I purchased a 2024 Toyota Venza. Within 48 hours, while driving in 95-degree weather, the windshield developed a crack about a foot and a half long. When I contacted the sales representative, Ismael, his immediate response was, "We cannot do anything about it. Call your insurance," without even inspecting the damage. I requested to speak with the General Manager several times, but those attempts were unsuccessful. Clearly, the crack was caused by the hot weather, which should be covered under warranty. During the paperwork process, I noticed an excess charge of over $450 in state tax. The finance representative, Tom, mentioned that there was an error in the computer application they were using, so we had to manually calculate and enter the correct amount. Additionally, I purchased an extended warranty for the windshield, tires, etc., and Tom added an 8.5% tax to that. To my knowledge, extended warranties are not taxable. Note: For new buyers or those who have already purchased a vehicle from this dealer, please review your receipt and calculate your tax to ensure you have not been overcharged. I stopped bringing my vehicle for service at Toyota in Western because of exactly what I experienced today at 2:00. I have a nail in my tire and The key to my wheel locks was not working for some reason. I contact their service office and explain my situation and was told that to replace it was free. This info was not correct. The price to replace them was not my issue. I bought a 2024 truck 11 months ago. About 2 weeks ago I got an alert as I turned it on that something was wrong with the brakes; when I called in they said it was something with the sensor. I took it in on July 19, 2024. I requested a loaned truck from them which they refused to provide. They have not offered any type of transportation assistance. I have been without a vehicle for over a week now which has placed a burden on getting to and from work. I call to check in on the status of my truck and most of the time the service center does not answer even if I am calling within their work hours or they say they'll get to it. My advice is if you need to take your vehicle to a Toyota service center for anything, take it to any other service center except this one! And while you're at it, just go buy your car/truck elsewhere too! read more

I called to check service rates for a 100,000 mile service on my Prius and was quoted at $275 as Anthony read an extensive list that would be performed. I had to shift around my schedule and called back later to made an appointment. While on the phone they told me the last available time for completion was 4p, so I took that. I arrived on time and while checking in was told the service might not be able to be completed that day and the cost was actually $375-so those other conversations were pointless and a lie. The report back from the tech after initial inspection was a public one stating that I should really check under the hood once in a while. I had done that two days prior so I wasn't sure where that was going and told him just that. He elaborated that there was a piece of chicken on the engine. I couldn't tell if he was joking or not. One of the other patrons chimed in (because at this point, because of the approach, everyone was invited into my discussion) and said neighborhoods with cats get this a lot and that was a true statement as my neighbors do have a few outdoor cats. Thanks for being the voice of reason and understanding random customer. Service and public review complete I drive off after the increased service rate and get a few miles away and there are some noises coming from the passenger front wheel area. I turn back and spent another hour for them to review and correct the problem. I selected this dealership because they [inaccurately] quoted less than the others, was close, and had extended hours. Although most of the individuals were nice I'm enough it's not enough to save the fact I had to immediately return and was asked to pay more when I got there. read more

I received an oil change and it was completed to a satisfactory standard. However, this location charges for EVERYTHING. I had a coupon and the total should have been no more than $65-70. My total was about $95. I got an "electrical inspection" and it did not produce any results. They said I would have to return to deduce the real issue and that would be an additional $250+ just for looking. If they actually found the issue during that inspection, then it would cost even more to fix it. Ridiculous. read more

Fast forward 30yrs later, welp...you have a group of younger customer service reps. that apparently are just their for the check! They will literally watch you pull into the service area and won't even come behind the counter to assist you or ask ...may I help you? I sat in my car, waiting, and waiting, and waiting until finally I got out and went to the counter! smh It's ridiculous Mind you now...there were FOUR reps. standing at the counter with NO customers! smh I was so pissed! So today, I discover that when they did my tIre rotation they added air to the tires but did NOT put back ANY of the caps on the tires! I purchased a 7 year/84 month warranty battery from this location on 01/11/2019. I returned to this same location on 08/26/2022 because my car would not start. Since the battery is over 3 years old, I figured it just might be time for a new one. I removed the battery from my Toyota Camry and got a ride to this location. I go to the Parts department with the battery and tell them I need a new one. The Parts employee goes in the system and shortly after tell me that it will be $184 and some change for a new one. I tell him the battery is under warranty and he directs me to Service. The Service Advisor, Armando Lucian, informs me that the only way the will honor my warranty is if I bring my vehicle in so they can inspect it to make your that the battery is the problem and not something else. I explained to Mr. Armando that if I was able to bring the car in I would have came with it. Paying to get my vehicle towed in will cost more than me purchasing a battery and makes no sense to me because that will be a total lost in my case. Mr. Armando proceeded to take phone calls and neither him nor the Parts guy even tried to look up any information regarding me and my previous purchase. I asked to speak with the manager and was told he would not be available until today 08/29/2022. I proceeded and called Toyota corporate number and spoke with a lady named Heaven, who was very considerate of my situation and tried to do what she could to help. While on the phone with her, Mr. Armando was ease-dropping on my call and showing emotions as if he was upset. He became very rude and interrupted my conversation as well as told me I had to leave no because they were closing. I told him where are the hours of operation posted so I looked where he told me and took a picture because this did nothing for the situation. Mr. Armando then told me to leave or he would call the police, in which that is what he made sure to do. I had no other choice but to leave. While still on the phone with Heaven from corporate, she apologized for Mr. Armando behavior and made sure to report it in my case file. She transferred me to the manager/supervisor of corporate and I was told that Toyota dealerships are independently owned and it is to there discretion how they proceed to take action. She put a note in the file for the manager of Toyota on Western to give me a call today. I waited until 10:30a.m. to call Corporate back because I have not received a call. I talked with a someone and was told the manager responded and it was no other option except for me to bring it in. The worst service ever! Had I not called I would not have known or heard anything back. Another note was put into the case file for the manager to call me and I have still not heard anything and it is 2:12p.m. I am writing this review in hopes this will do some good for someone else in the future since it is obvious Toyota on Western is only concerned with hustling customers out of money! I wanted to buy a 2008 BMW M3 from this dealership on their used lot and I was coming from out of state. The price was listed at $20,995 on 7/10/24. Called on 7/11/24 the next day, they tell me the price has been increased to $28,995. I ask the sales person, Tony, to send me pictures and more details on the car. He never sent me anything, so basically was a waste of time. Then 2 days later (7/13/24), I see the price was dropped to $23,995. Call again, speak to Gerardo/Jerry and inquiry on the car and tell him that I can wire a deposit on the car. He informs me that they do not take deposits on the car and he can send me more info. He calls me back and tells me someone from Dallas has placed a deposit and is coming to pick up the car. Now, isn't that funny that they told me they don't take a deposit but then call me to tell me they took someone else's deposit? At this moment, I knew that this dealership was pretty sketchy. On Monday 7/15/24, had a buddy reach out to them to see if the car was truly sold. They get back to him and let him know that the car was indeed sold. However, today (7/17/24) , I check their website and they have raised the price to $34,372. So essentially, they just like to waste peoples time and are not honest at all. I wouldn't even spend a dollar at this place, don't even know how its considered a business lol. Potential Buyers be aware of this dealership's shady practice. Would not recommend. read more

I decided to proceed with the purchase of a used 2022 Certified vehicle. After confirming down payment, financing, etc. with the salesperson, I was taken to the person to handle the usual ton of paperwork. The first thing I'm presented with is missing the information that this vehicle is certified. This makes a BIG difference. I tell them, I know it was certified, it was on the label in the lot and the main reason I decided to purchase it is because it was advertised as certified. I'm told, nope, if it was certified it would be stated right here. I stop, request to see the sales person AND the label that came off the car when it was in the lot. The label had to be dug out of the garbage can and sure enough, it was advertised as certified. I can't understand how this was an honest mistake. I don't even recall being given meaningful apologies. I believe that there was no intention to sell this as a certified vehicle even though it was advertised as certified. Then, an appointment was made for the following Wednesday to finish up paperwork. This was a weekend. The following Monday, I'm contacted, at work by the salesperson insisting I have to bring the car back to the dealership TODAY, so they can do something to validate it is a certified vehicle or something like this. He's sounding almost desperate. It's like, they are willing to do anything to make sure they get that car back today. They're willing to send someone to pick the car up, arrange an Uber for me, whatever it takes. They will take the car into the shop area, do something and I'll have to wait about 2 hours. This is upsetting me. I'm at work, I'm going to have to leave work early unexpectedly to accommodate this because I'm not ok with someone else driving my vehicle, so I'm going to lose money. All this mess just reinforced my original suspicion, that there was never an intention to sell this certified vehicle as certified even though it was advertised as certified. I have been going to this dealership for decades. Being the loyal customer that I have been, this is very disappointing. This episode has seriously eroded my trust in them as a reputable dealership. I am considering taking all my future business with Toyota and my vehicle to a different dealership. read more

Based on my experience, I have to give five stars and double it to ten. What more can I ask? Very lucky! My first call was with the service manager Alberto. He explained the details of what to do in the situation like I was experiencing and Alberto, Nick and many others worked like a great team. They are polite, kind and they followed through every promise they made, charged me the minimally necessary, and even went ABOVE and BEYOND to reduce cost knowing what I have been through. Not only the new catalytic converter was restored, but I understood my car more, oil, fluid change, the car got a new life. I knew my car was happy there. Not only I am super grateful, but I know that God will bless their service, and each one of them for their kindness! Thank you! BTW, they provided great shuttle service at no charge, my car was super clean, the 13 year old battery was replaced, I truly appreciate the attention to detail. The car was there for 9 month due to the national back order, they took SUCH GREAT CARE for the car. Here is a bit more detail: My Prius's catalytic converter was stolen 9 month ago, since then my car has been through two Toyota dealerships. I called five. I had to move my car due to the dealership change stories after got me in or asking for excessive work, some suggested welding, it became confusing and exhausting for me physically and mentally having to move the car multiple times. So I just randomly search Toyota dealership and ended up calling Toyota on Western. The call with Alberto was short and sweet, about five minutes, I decided to move my car to their location. Glad I did! Alberto was straightforward, very educational and professional. It was from him, I finally understood, why welding the catalytic for the Prius converter is wrong, and I am all for doing the best for my car. I was uplifted, and relaxed after Alberto took my car in. He also move the car from time to time to keep the break in good shape, no amount of money or compliment can be exchanged with such genuine help and willingness to do good. I had received what I assumed to be an automated text message from one of the managers, Ivonne, at this (An hour before the appointment time). I had a family emergency come up and responded "No". The manager then proceeded to ask me "why?". Which I have never been asked in a setting where you are looking for MY business. Today, I received a call from another manager, Jessenia, and I expressed why I wouldn't be doing business at this location after she asked me if there was anything they could've done differently.
