We had a water link in the kitchen after a week's vacation. I was referred to Ecopure by a plumber. I didn't compare with any other services based on all these high ratings on yelp. But I SHOULD have. Have you heard about the terms "overhead" and "profit"? Well, I just had a vague idea that these will be the extra fees for a contractor who will perform the work of rebuild. What happened to us was that Ecopure sent an estimate to our insurance company with the demand of the check written to Ecopure (instead to the home owners). After the insurance inspected the damage, they issued us the check with a lower amount. I called the claim adjuster and she said that they don't approve Ecopure's estimate, instead, they based the estimate from their own contractors. So at this point, there appears to be not much benefit using Ecopure's claim service. Since Ecopure doesn't have a design team. They can build back like exactly before. But anything different will be extra. And we would like to use our own contractors which have a good designer and since they did remodel two years ago and we have trust in them. I told Ecopure the plan. Now the most dramatic surprise came. Josh called and wanted to have the overhead and profit check which is about $13K. That is just for handling of claims (not for any mitigation which is billed directly to the insurance). What, without performing the rebuild and taking all the profit from the rebuild? I can't believe that is the case. He then reminded me that I signed a contract that specified that way. And there are multiple witteness such as his plumber buddy and his brother. I asked my insurance agent and a realtor friend, they all said they never heard about this type of practice. At this point, I realized that we should NOT sign the contract but it might be too late. If you are considering using Ecopure based on these 5 star reviews, keep in mind that at least you should consult a lawyer before you sign the contract with them to protect you. read more

The bathroom in the unit above me flooded and a colleague referred me to Jake and Josh with EcoPure. They came down to my place within an hour and brought all the equipment needed to measure moisture and begin the drying process. Jake was the lead on my project and kept in constant communication, always gave me realistic expectations and was willing to work with multiple insurance companies and my HOA to get everything processed. I don't think there was ever a time that Jake didn't answer my phone call or immediately text me saying exactly when he'd be able to call me back. Such a dependable guy and so patient and easy to work with. His team did a great job in getting all the damaged walls/tiles/insulation ripped out and everything dried out. And once insurance approved everything (which takes significantly longer than you'd expect), getting everything built back at a high level of quality. i had a toilet valve leak. The plumber fixed it but then ai was left with the water damage assessment aftermath. Today i called Ecopure, and Josh and Jake came within just an hour or so of my call and did a moisture test. Their equipment showed a high reading. We had a leak in our laundry room, more like a small flood. We ended up cleaning up the water but a couple of​ days later we could tell that there was water damage. Before you call insurance, call Ecopure Restoration! I came home from work to discover that the water line to my washing machine on the second floor had burst and was causing water to flood my home. I panicked and called my insurance company right away to help. Water was pouring from my kitchen ceiling and the entire upstairs was wet. My insurance company told me that they would send one of their "preferred vendors" out to take care of the water damage cleanup and drying everything out. The company insurance was going to send out said they could not be to my home until the following morning, so I asked friends if they had ever had this happen and who they used to do the drying out. Barely a year into moving into our new house upstairs water inlet broke and flooded; damaging downstairs as well. We worked with Ecopure on a water damage situation that impacted our kitchen and the surrounding areas. If you're reading this review, it's probably because you are experiencing something similar and are trying to make an educated decision on which company to work with and how to best proceed as quickly as possible. From our experience working with Josh, Jake and the Ecopure team, I would highly recommend working with them. Ecopure conducted the mitigation of water damage, acted as POC to the insurance company, and managed the entire build back of our kitchen. To summarize our experience working with Ecopure: · Incredibly responsive: Josh understands the pain and stress that you are going through and will not leave you hanging. He always answered calls, responded to texts, or called back in a reasonable amount of time. Communication is key when dealing with these situations and Josh will not let you down. · Insurance Experts: If you think that you will be able to negotiate with your insurance company on your own, you might want to think again. If it is something small, you might be okay. If it is a large or complex claim, you will absolutely need help navigating insurance otherwise you will almost certainly leave a significant amount of money on the table. Insurance companies are motivated to give you the smallest amount of money possible, and they do that through tactics like stalling and being completely unresponsive (not answering phone calls or replying to emails, in other words completely ignore you). They want to wear you down so that when they do offer you something, you will be so happy that they actually called you back that you might just take the offer. Working with Josh, who has extensive experience working with insurance companies, was one of the best decisions we made during this entire situation. Josh knows how to navigate insurance, knows how to communicate with them, and importantly, has all the same software that insurance companies use to assess claims. Josh effectively got the insurance company to more than double the initial offer. There is no chance that we would have been able to do that without Josh. · Knowledgeable: Josh understands construction, management, and working with contractors. If you hire Ecopure, you can be involved as much or as little as you want. Josh will manage the entire build back with his contractors! We are SO thankful EcoPure was recommended by a neighbor! We woke up to a puddle in our kitchen, and had no idea how extensive the necessary repairs would be. We contacted EcoPure, having seen them recommended by several neighbors, and Jake and Josh were at our home within an hour or so. They got straight to work, measuring and documenting the damage and setting up fans and dehumidifiers. In the coming days, they removed all affected drywall, cabinets, and flooring.
