Neither he had come into the house to clean the bait left by them last time, nor he clean the web on the outside. I live on a private drive on a hill to knock on doors. In my case, the gentleman had to walk past two No Solicitation signs and when I pointed them out, he shrugged his shoulders. I told him to leave and he said he was without moving while he was looking around. I had to tell him him that he had 5 minutes to get off private property before I filed a police complaint and I would also be contacting his management. He responded that he was the owner. A rep from this company came by out house telling my husband all kinds of stories about the chemicals and rodent killer they use. He stated it will kill rodents, but literally anything that feeds on them is totally safe. I watched all this over our ring cameras, and when he pushed for a credit card I called my husband and said don't give them anything until I can look into this company. After he told the rep that he kept pushing my husband to come back out, and then had him sign something on his phone, even after he said we didn't want any kind of contract until we checked into his company. I called the company and asked what kind of product they used to get rid of rodents, and it was clearly a call center. He kept trying to get me connected to the "local office", and keep in mind I am in Everett. After 10 minutes he got me connected, to someone in Hawaii! I asked her the same question, and she couldn't answer me either, she had no idea what they use but assured me it was perfectly safe. So, this has been 20 minutes on the line by now. I called the 1-888 number back and spoke with a woman to verify my husband had signed something with their company, and while she said she could not disclose the information to me she could in fact email it to me. At this point I was furious, and had read a huge number of 1 star ratings about this company and it's shady dealings. I told her I was not the one to play games with a company like this, I would be contacting a lawyer, posting more no soliciting signs, as the first ones were completely ignored and also posting no trespassing signs. Our yard is beautiful, and the last thing I want is a bunch of ugly signs but I let her know that any further contact from their company at our residence would be met with a phone call to the police for trespassing! I got a response that my husbands account had been closed immediately, she never forwarded whatever it was that he had signed, just stated since they were unable to get our credit card information they just closed it. I again requested a copy of the document my husband signed, and if they do not send it I am going to file a complaint with the Wa. State Attorney Generals Office, and I urge everyone on here with a negative experience to do the same. This company boasts about it's stellar reviews and products, but what I see on here is the opposite of that, and they will not disclose any of the products they use. I just switched over to EcoShield Pest Control service from another company. My initial service visit was on 4/10/23. The assigned technician was Andrew Moser. Andrew did an exemplary job. He exceeded my expectations based on the years of experience I've had with other pest control companies. Andrew's thoroughness and attention to detail as well as his demonstrated work ethic are stellar. It's obvious that he enjoys his job and does excellent work. As a front line worker providing service directly to customers, he represents the company very well. His demeanor, careful and caring approach to his job and the respect he shows for customers' property when entering the home is noteworthy. Multiple issues with this company: 1. It doesn't work for insects. They are not qualified to spray vegetation. Which is WHERE spiders go! I pointed it explicitly to their technician and he confirmed that he is not qualified to do it with the CHEMICALS that they use. Yes, there is nothing "ECO" in their products. Due to lack of spraying the vegetation, the spiders were alive and thriving the day after they sprayed, and the spiders were spreading their nets from the shrubs and trees back to the house, finding their way inside. Within 5 days after spraying the spiders were back on all of the balconies and decks. 2. Their sales people like to tell you that "your neighbor Joe signed up". The reality is that no one in my neighborhood used them, as they found better companies that do the job. Nevertheless, I gave them several seasons to try and it has been hit or miss. In the past I have called them multiple times, but this time I said enough is enough and I cancelled their service. read more

Comes to my door and says I'll be seeing his truck in the neighborhood because he'll be working on my neighbors' houses so I tell him thanks for the heads up. But he's really just trying to sell services which is absolutely fine but I told him I didn't need their services. However, he proceeds to keep asking questions that I answered every time with "I don't need your services". After telling him "no" for the fourth time, he finally walks away muttering under his breath. If Ecoshield harasses potential customers and can't be bothered to be apologetic about it, how do they treat customers who actually do agree to use them? read more

I opened a new Yelp account just for this! :) Someone in an Ecoshield uniform banged on my door / rang my bell and told me they were treating my neighbor's carpenter ants. I told him I wasn't interested in the service. He insisted (repeatedly) that he wasn't selling, that he was "just being nice" to warn me that my own house would be flooded with the ants running from the poison next door (!?) He actually got angry and raised his voice, arguing when I asked him to leave again. Honestly it was a bit scary. Obviously a high pressure sales tactic, and should I really expect my own infestation? I called the main number to ask what was going on, they mumbled that this was probably not the case and then asked me to rate the phone rep on his "politeness." The promised callback from the local office has not happened. Seems like the company trains employees to do this, then acts shocked when someone calls them on it. Definitely would not choose these folks if I needed work. Also I'm a bored lawyer so might look into this practice further. I don't think a "no solicitation" sign should be the only thing between you and this toxicity. read more

Ecoshield employee was walking around my neighborhood going door to door. He said he was in the neighborhood doing work for a bunch of my neighbors and asked who I was using for pest control. He also asked me to open the door so we could talk. I said no. While speaking he was chewing gum or something. I thought it was sketchy because after I told him I was not interested, he left my property and then from the street turned back around to face my house to type something on his phone. On my security camera, I could see him looking at my windows. I had to check my camera recordings to read the uniform logo. I'm not sure I heard him identify himself. I had to check Yelp to see if this company solicits door to door before I report suspicious casing activity. Looks like I'm not the only one who thought they were casing the house. read more

Excellent service for a great price & friendly technicians who love dogs Scott and Jordan came out for our initial service, and they were both wonderful. Our service window was between 8am-10am, and they arrived just after 8. We had requested that the inside be sprayed in addition to the outside due to flying ant activity, and Jordan was very considerate to cover his shoes and be careful not to track anything onto our floors. He went through the service contract step-by-step, and he answered all of my questions. In addition to the prompt and thorough service, they both were incredibly pet friendly. I have a three year old pit/lab mix who is very friendly, but also very protective of the house. She will howl loudly at any strangers who enter. Neither Scott nor Jordan was phased by her big mouth, and they both were so friendly to her that she almost instantly traded her howling for puppy kisses. When he got home, my husband said the outside of the house looked as if it had been freshly painted now that it was no longer riddled with spider webs. I love that I get text message alerts to remind me of my service appointments, and the online Customer Pest Portal gives me the flexibility to schedule service when it is the most convenient for my busy schedule. Everyone I have spoken to at the company, including Chris before our service and Mike after have been wonderful. We have had a terrific introduction to the company, and we are very happy with our decision to choose EcoShield! read more

These guys the last two months showed up while we were at work and not home and performed service on only the outside of my house, not the inside. And charged me $121x2. This month we canceled service and they still showed up and charged us the full amount for half the service while we weren't home. I spoke to 2 different people asking for a refund and they refuse to give me my money back, instead offering 2 months of free service. I just want my money back. You can't show up to someone's house while they are not home, do half the job and charge me what I payed for a full job. Damn Thieves! read more

This is my FORMER pest control company. I paid them HUGE $$$ (4 figures) to seal my crawl space and they "guaranteed" me it was sealed. Yet I still had rodent friends in there every inspection. Now my NEW company comes in, does ONE inspection and finds the "very obvious" ways the rodents were getting in. ONE inspection. Do yourself a favor and avoid EcoSheild. All they want is your continuing flow of money - not to actually rid you of pests. read more

I've have been using EcoShield for almost a year now. They have been very helpful in controlling all types of pests in the yard and around the house. Every time I have a problem with spiders, ants, even a wasp nest that had developed on our shed was taken care of asap. They are fast and efficient with what ever problem I have and if they are aware you have a dog or any animal that is outdoors, they will give you a heads up before they spray to let the animal out before they spray because of the possible time frame it takes the spray to dry. They will also come back if they did miss something free of charge or if the problem is continuing through the months they are not scheduled to be there. They always answer my questions in a professional manner and to the best of their knowledge. read more

Ecoshield company /man came to our door and we only agreed to the pest spray company spraying our property because the man Guaranteed us that the chemical would be very safe for our rare breed of dog that we own and love. Within week one of the first Ecoshield team employee spraying our dog threw up and became very itchy and broke out in a rash were his hair began to fall out. After several vet appointments and a note from our Veterinarian to Ecoshield stating that their chemical was not safe for our dog. Ecoshield stopped coming to our property but still wanted their money for the remaining appointments, Canceling was a nightmare. I do not recommend this company. Bad business ethics.
