If you don't want to spend $450 on less than one hour service(in total) with no improvement, do not choose this company. To sum up: 1. Dishonest, they didn't tell you you have to pay more $150 if you want to cancel the service when they are trying to sell their service. 2. no improvement at all on spider problems. 3. customer service hang up your phone. 4. Their service is just spaying around your house for less than half-hour, but you need to pay more than $150 for it. Don't use this company, they are disrespectful and dishonest to their customers. A saleswoman came to our house and said we have a lot of spider eggs on our outside wall and they can control this. They even said they can waive the initial service fee. So we signed on the contract when they are just behind us. The said there will be 5 services for one year, now I realized the first service is the initial service which they said is free, but they still charged me. That's not the most important part. After two services and more than two months, there is no improvement at all. Still see webs and spider eggs outside our house and in the yard. The eggs can be easily wiped if they are willing to spend more time during the service. The tech man just came and pray around the house which everyone can do it. No improvement at all, so we decided to cancel the service, then they said we have to pay more $150 to return the initial service discount. Their service has no improvement at all and they want to charge us $450?? They never told us the fee when we signed the contract, the saleswoman said we can cancel the service at any time if we are not satisfied with the service. This is an excellent company. They came to my door several years ago announcing that they were starting a new, more environmentally friendly and tech savvy pest control business. I never talk to door to door salesman, but likely for this guy, I was in desperate need of help with spiders and spider mites which were destroying some of my trees. I could live with the in house ones biting me and frightening me, but I was concerned about the trees. Within 6 months of the service I noticed an impressive change. Granted, i'm sure I could use the same chemicals and mess around with it myself, but here's why this company does it better. Before each treatment they call or text me that they are coming. They ask if they can do anything in addition to what they typically do. They never bother me, and they communicate well. Recently I was able, because of great communication, to text the technician who came out and ask him to spray the inside of the garage in addition to his usual rounds. I would not have had the time to independently reach out (though I meant to do this). This was the morning of the treatment. I was very impressed. If you want quality pest control with excellent service, skill, communication and results, then this is the company for you. read more

Secondly, the process of cancelling the service is excessively burdensome. My attempt to terminate the contract via email was redirected to a phone-based procedure. This process was not only time-consuming but also laden with high-pressure sales tactics. During the 14-minute call, I was repeatedly offered alternative pricing, transferred multiple times, and frequently placed on hold. I had always used chemicals from Home Depot and Lowes to protect our home. This year, we decided to hire Ecoshield due to convenience. Ryan, the initial service man, told me to expect to see some dead pests over the next few days. I thought "probably for many people, but our home is pretty bug free." This morning, out on the steps were five dead bugs of a type I had never seen before, lying there with their feet up in the air. (We never saw anything like that with the chemicals we bought at the store.) They weren't quite dead so I turned one over to see what kind of bug it was. It flipped right back over on it's back to die more comfortably. Interesting. Ryan took down several wasps nests, and got rid of cob webs. The house looks great. I'm surprised I didn't notice those things earlier in the season. Then he thoroughly sprayed our eves, foundation, walls and out into the yard. He also treated our shed. I'm surprised at how having a professional service contracted to take care of us increases our feelings of peace and security in our home. I'm glad we are doing it. If I could give no stars I would. This company has its agents lie straight to your face about the contract you are signing. I was told that i could have a 1 time pest service because I was moving. I was insured they would not come back or be charged again. Over a year later...I am arguing with a collections company over a 300 dollar bill. I am being told they "exhausted all of their options in trying to collect this bill" when they did not call, email, or send actual main once. I RECEIVED NO FINAL BILL. I RECEIVED NO PHONE CALL. I have NEVER been sent to collections in my life and now I am dealing with with this awful company. ' I will be suing them if it isn't resolved. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE - avoid the good reviews of service quality. The people who came to my house were a pleasure - i obviously hired them. But it is NOT worth what comes after. The company cares nothing at all about their clients. I have been trying to call for TWO WEEKS with no answer. Please head the warning. Not a scam by definition but might as well be.BE AWARE!!! I live in the Seattle east side. One of the sales rep knocked on the door with the "we're doing a neighbor and are offering a this-day-only discount for people on the block" schtick. He was pushy but friendly and I agreed as I assumed it was a "one-time" service . I was also busy with my kid so did'nt read through the fine print on what he made me sign on his iPad. Next month someone showed up to do a follow up service which I was not expecting. got another invoice for $200.When I called their customer service, it turns out they got me into an annual service contract for $200x5 maintainence services over the next 12 months. I asked them to cancel the contract and they refused saying that since I signed the contract they can't do anything now and the only way they would cancel the contract is if I pay the remainder of the service charges ($200x5) upfront. It all started with Tyler a few months ago...he came back out to the house after hours around 715pm to meet me after I got off work. Fantastic rep, I trusted him. We set up the new service and the gang had to come out an extra trip on the first run because some spots were missed. But, the service was great and it was no extra cost. Just like they stated. They aimed to do their job, rid pests, and also make the customer feel confident in them. My next service was yesterday with Mike Parisi. He was excellent, with his partner. They found a hidden wasp nest up on the second floor and worked harder than anyone else would, to make me happy and drive away the bugs. As far as I am concerned, their client service is far above normal. Mike and Tyler also spent alot of time with me describing and educating me on the issues at hand. I have 3-4 neighbors that are waiting for my report card on Ecoshield Pest Control. So far, it is very good. Thank you guys for a job well done. read more

I have never used this service, but one of the employees was driving behind my friend and me on our way back to Spokane, WA from a protest in Olympia, WA. This was my first time driving in these mountain passes and it was snowing and we were on a relatively steep decline considering the combination of heavy snowfall and it being about 8 pm. The speed limit was 55 and we were doing between 40 and 45, we had already slid once so we wanted to be cautious and stay in the lane next to the mountain. this driver rode way to close behind us for at least two miles and they kept flashing their high beams at us. I was not about to speed up and risk our lives on this unfamiliar terrain. eventually, he moved into the other lane and went around us. I have not stopped being mad and this all happened last night. Would never use this company. in hindsight, I should have had my buddy take a picture of his truck but we didn't know it was a business till they were already passing. read more

I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE I thought that I would be able to give these guys a decent review but after today--I see it differently. After our service tech left the rat bait box open and 3 dogs had to be treated for poisoning at an emergency vet AND on a separate occasion left ant bait in bottle caps that dropped to an area that another dog ingested -- we were treated pretty decently for a couple of months. The new tech, I found out today wasn't treating for our biggest issue over the last six month -- he told me he didn't even know what they were and Ecoshield didn't treat for flies.These guys are rookies! Inexperienced! Unprofessional! and when it gets hard, they quit! Yep, stay on the routine schedule and don't recall for "issues" and they will keep collecting the $$$, but pushed to solve a hard problem....Confrontational in my home! Removed a hornet nest from our property. Very happy that we were able to get an appt within days after calling, AND the service was included in our plan as a follow-up treatment to regular service! Technician, Ernesto was great. Right on time and courteous. Explained everything that would be done, and went next door and spoke with our neighbor since the hornet nest was between our two houses. It was quite a large nest and he wasn't sure if he could remove it with one treatment, or if he would have to come back for a second treatment. Thrilled that he could get it removed in one day. Then, he went the extra mile and swept up any hornets that fell from the nest, and removed and treated all of the spider webs around the house (which is also included with our service plan). Ecoshield is slightly but not significantly more than our old exterminator service, but well worth it for the extra service they provide. Very happy with the service and technician. read more

Our entire neighborhood seems to have been overrun by ants this year. We started using EcoShield when they knocked on our door after being at a neighbor's. After the first treatment, we still had a lot of ants, and they were very good at coming back out before the second scheduled session. I love the convenience of receiving an email telling me when they are coming out, and they have been on the early side of the appointment time each time, which is great. They are careful about spraying plants that could be damaged, and even recommended organic options for delicate areas. The technicians are friendly, and service is quick. I really don't like the idea of pesticides, but when we were ending up with ants on our dinner plates while eating on our deck, we didn't feel we had any other option. Honestly, I've never used another service, so I can't really compare them, but I'd definitely recommend this company and their very professional service. read more

I recently had Ecoshield become the pest control company servicing my house after having some issues with my last pest service. I was immediately impressed with the initial walk around consult as the technician as he pointed out several issues that I'd had no idea even existed, and clearly were not being treated by my previous pest service company. He thoroughly explained the monthly treatment I'd be getting, and went over exactly what was covered by my monthly fee. Today was our first monthly treatment, and I happened to be home when the technician, Ebenezer Ofori, arrived. He introduced himself and explained to me what he planned to do on this visit, which I'd never had done by my previous pest company. Ebenezer then proceeded to do the most thorough service I've ever seen, taking an hour to properly give my house a complete job. I was so impressed! Thank you, Ebenezer! A representative of this company ignored my "No Soliciting" sign and, in violation of Washington, King County, and Bellevue city law, rang my doorbell anyway to attempt to sell services. When I pointed this unlawful behavior out and asked them to please respect the "No Soliciting" sign, they refused to leave and continued their pitch. They still to refuse to leave after being told to vacate the premises (trespassing at this point), and only departed once I closed my door. This is not lawful behavior, nor is it behavior I would expect from a reputable company. In reviewing other statements here, I was not terribly surprised to see several others having this same experience. Sales approaches like this, in clear defiance of the law, demonstrate a company culture problem within EcoShield. I recently return home from a trip back home to visit my family. My wife remained in town. During my absence we had our service and Brian was our technician who came out to service our house. My wife was a little disturbed by their conversation, she could tell he was very obviously attracted to her. He said some suggestive things I'd rather not repeat. We have cameras around the house, and after she told me this I reviewed the footage and it looked to me like he was staring at her inappropriately. As he was outside doing the service he clearly would stop and look through the windows to look at her, and both times at the door when she turned to walk away he stared after her for a long while. The whole experience was all in all creepy and I don't think we'll be renewing our contract come summer time. read more

As new home owners who discovered an on-going ant problem, we feel blessed to be working with Eco-Shield. In particular, we've been working with Brandon. He's come to our house three times (it's a big ant problem), and he's been incredibly thorough, informative, and helpful every time! He's also super nice. In our most recent visit, we found out the ant problem was much worse than originally thought. Brandon identified both sugar and carpenter ants, as well as water damage that could attract termites. We'll be needing more treatments in the near future, but we feel significantly less stressed and overwhelmed by the situation with Eco-Shield by our side. P.S. I met a Young man who was selling EcoShield Pest Control services this week while I was busy in my garage.i at first told no I was very busy on my truck.well he started admiring the work I was doing so I started chatting with him and realized he was a very professional salesman and really opened up my eyes to the fact that I really had a problem. The preditory tactics that this company's sales people are using is disgusting. Extremely aggressive, harassing and just gross. 30+ neighbors have spoken up about these guys badgering them, at their homes daily. They continue to walk our neighborhood, have fits and throw piles of business cards on porches when told to leave, asking young children to open the door so they can come in a speak to their parents. Absolutely criminal in their approach. EcoSolutions need to disappear. Hey Christian, I'm talking about you. I called ecoshield with a bug concern and the scheduler on the phone was polite and accommodating... I was scheduled the next day with the technician Craig and he called me first to let me know when he would be arriving. I appreciated his timeliness and he listened to my concern about the bug issue. He shared some information about this particular bug and how to go about repelling the bug on the outside of the house as opposed to spraying in the house to kill the bugs. I decided on his course of action and he went the "extra mile" to spray thoroughly and then he brushed the eaves and wiped away cobwebs. Craig did a great job of which I am most appreciative!
