EcoShield Pest Control sent a technician over to my house to do an indoor spider spray. That technician had COVID and was returning to work without a negative test. I asked when she had had COVID and she avoided the question. I am a high risk and the only way I found out about the technicians health status is because I asked her how she had been as she was entering my house and she told me she had COVID and today was her first day back. When I reached out the company they couldn't have cared less. Why didn't they just send a different tech out to me since I needed interior spraying? The company is putting customer's at risk. They were nice enough to not charge me when I asked, but that is kind of expected seeing as they didn't perform the interior spray as requested. Aiming to stay objective to the sequence of events as best as we can as frustrated customers to tell about the lack of effort and follow through service we've received. We scheduled an appointment with an employee after our initial contract signing. He told my husband and I that between him and his wife, they will take care of our property and that they will do a thorough job and that they would come at any time during the quarter if requested. Instead they sent another person in place of them when we called to remind them of the appointment time (which they had been late and did not bother to let us know in advance of their tardiness). Then a few weeks later when we called about rodent activities (during the 1st quarter in which we had paid close to $300 for the initial sign up and quarterly cost already), no one picked up so my husband had to leave a message (after 3 attempts). We waited for a week and still did not receive any calls back. Thus, we called customer service once again, and then we got transferred around and around (not helpful at all but a waste of our time). We then finally told the person who transferred us around and around that we will cancel the service as the company's employees do not follow through with their words and respond in a timely manner. Customer service told us that we would be charged $220 for ending the contract early. From a customer's standpoint, we feel that we are penalized for the company's failure to provide the service they promised, because we chose to not support a dishonest and non-responsive business. When we brought up cancellation, the customer service person responded with they are hired to handle the customer service part only, they are unable to help us out in any way. There was no attempt on trying to save the company's name..... I will leave it at that. read more

This appears to be a scam. I couldn't get the salesperson that initially approached me in my yard to leave me alone. I never received an email copy of my contract. I thought I could get out of the contract because they said they had a money back guarantee. I had a spider crawl across my hand last night and a spider crawling on my arm when I woke up this morning. Today I called customer service and got a total run around. I repeatedly stated that I have received nothing of value for the $140 and $170 I have already been charged. The rep finally told me I could get out of my contract for $272 dollars. I told him that if another technician came to my property I would ask him to leave and if there were any more charges to my bank account from Ecoshied I would report it to my bank as fraudulent activity. I'm also not sure how I can be beholden to a contract I never received. If someone from Ecoshied comes to your house naming supposed neighbors who bought this product, tell them your neighbor Kyla said it is a scam. I will continue to try to ge this resolved so if anyone from Ecoshield wants to contact me that would be great. read more

I used Ecoshield for a year. The sales guy came to knock on my door saying he's servicing my neighbors and I should consider their service. I signed up for the service and contract said I need two consecutive services in two month, followed by a quarterly service. $150/each. Their technicians are usually pleasant, but doesn't seem to be professionally trained for pest control. They just cleaned up the exterior of the house and light fixtures and send me a bill afterwards. They never go down to the crawl space to check if there is any pest activity. I canceled the service after fulfilling the contract, because I was told there is $150 fine if I canceled early. Their sales team kept pressing me to schedule the next appointment and offering me discount for another contract. I refused to get on the hook again. For the jobs they did, I'm fully capable of doing it by myself. And I will hire a real pest control person to check our crawl space. read more

The service provided by this company it is very disappointing; they do not take really good time to spray all around the house, it is always that they want to complete their service as fast as they can and after a couple of months of my last service my house it is full of spiderwebs basically showing that their products are very low quality; I have had way better results by using products like Ortho Home Defense (around $16) with which one application lasted a year than the results using EcoShield; horrible service, low quality products and I will never recommend this company. read more

Just signed up with EcoShield and I have been pleasantly surprised with their process and follow-up. Signed up with Kris for the quarterly service for 12 months and had a copy of the service agreement with detailed costs and duration emailed to me upon his departure. The technician, Shuba, arrived for the initial service the same day at the scheduled time and reviewed the agreement with me to be sure we were working off the "same sheet of music". Shuba was knowledgeable, professional, courteous and answered all my questions. Shuba was through and efficient. He knocked down webbing, set and baited traps and applied the EcoShield treatments around the entire house in about 90 minutes. Kris returned after Shuba was finished to check and see if I was satisfied with the initial treatment and if I had any additional questions. I am not easily impressed, however, if first impressions mean anything, EcoShield has thus far exceeded my expectations. I am hopeful the quarterly service and follow-up will be equally impressive. Their pricing may be a bit higher than some competitors, but in my opinion, you get what you pay for. read more

Worst customer service ever and they make up their customers mind for them. I asked to cancel my appt and will reschedule when someone will be home. They decided to cancel my contract and then double charge me. Now threatening me if I dont pay I will be sent to collections. I have emailed and tried calling and no answer. I finally spoke to someone who said she will waive the fee due to the confusion and then still getting an email I owe them. I finally spoke to a Supervisor and she was worthless as well. We have been with EcoShield Pest Control for almost 2 years and there is a definite improvement in our yard. Not just the day of the treatment but in-between treatments, the absence of spiders and bugs is noticeable. Also, their technicians are professional, knowledgeable and very courteous. Today, Rubin gave the house a scheduled treatment. He answered so many questions and emphasized EdoShield's guarantee. I have called them to come out between scheduled treatments for something new that I have noticed. They take care of it right away. EcoShield is very easy to contact. Rubin is exceptionally efficient, but all the Ecoshield technicians are. I am writing this because, once again, I have been high pressured to change companies by salesmen coming to my door. One company, saying that they have signed neighbors as new customers, names the homes that have signed and I have never heard those family names before. They won't leave until I tell them what I pay. It was my first time trying the "request a quote" feature on Yelp and after getting ghosted by another company, I reached out to Mike P. for service. I got super lucky! Mike is a SoCal transplant (like so many of us) and was able to explain the differences in what I've been accustomed to worrying about and what I needed to consider up in the PNW. I actually did get a quote from another company that was exactly the same price, so I consider the pricing fair. I lost interest in reviewing on Yelp but feel compelled to write to recommend Ecoshield. We signed up over the summer and have noticed a big difference! We no longer have ANTS which were the bane of my existence for 17 years. We no longer have RATS scurrying about. Even though we live in a very nice neighborhood, we do live near restaurants and a grocery store and rats have always been a problem. The price is a good value, they're super reliable and always show up when they say they will. The service technicians are very polite. I don't know who this Emily person is saying she only gets an overseas call center... that's a lie probably from a competitor. I call and get a human person, mostly though they call ME to see if everything is going OK. They also text periodically to see if I need anything for my next service. PLUS, all this and no chemicals! We've even got our neighbors to sign up which really helps with the rat population. Ignore the haters, this is a fantastic service and you will see results. read more

Not only was he professional and courteous throughout the visit, he went above my expectations by removing a dead bird that must have flown into a window, by going all the way into the garage and spraying around the steps and door leading into the home, by removing a lot of spider webs in the trees and bushes near the home, by double checking areas to ensure that he found/removed all of the webs under the eaves and by answering all of my annoying questions politely and with enthusiasm and never making me feel like I was bothering him while he was working his way around my house. Eric seems to truly enjoy his job and speaks very highly of the Ecoshield company and its products, which makes me feel confident in Ecoshield and the products it uses. We've now had our second treatment from Ecoshield and we are actually seeing quite a difference, quite a reduction in spiderwebs and wasps around the outside of our home. Thank you Eric! I signed up for their annual service to get rid of ants in our home. First visit, they broke the framing around the screens on the front window when they were wanding for spiders webs on the porch and told me to go get a new one from home depot and find out what is would cost etc. I don't have time to go fixing your mistakes... but I gave them a pass because the guy was nice and I wanted my ants gone. After 6 months, as soon as we had one week of warm weather I now have just as bad an ant problem as when I started $500 ago. We have a super clean newer home and even when we bleach and keep nothing out on the counters I am still finding ants. This is a rip off company. I already had a company who was doing the pest control services but their model did not allow for texts or emails. So I decided to switch when the rep came to my house soliciting his services and I am Very unhappy that I switched over. First, the rep who came to my house in kirkland assured me that there is a 100% guarantee on the service and there is no contract and that I could cancel anytime. He also told me if I see anything they can come back for a free service without any charge. He told me that they would accommodate my schedule to come and spray inside. After the first service, I saw a number of spiders in the house and in the garage. I told them and thought they would come over and do it for free but instead they charged for the next service. While I was talking to the billing department about the charges, they started charging late fees. When I asked about the next service in my house they told me that they cannot accommodate my schedule and came out and did the service when i was not home. So the inside of the house still had spiders. Now I asked them to cancel my service since I was not happy with their service and their representative says "If you don't want the service anymore there is a fee of $300 plus tax to cancel" Do not use their service. They are dishonest and completely unreliable. I cannot believe there is a contract when I was specifically told there will be none! read more

These fuckers don't care. This company has been nothing but a hassle. For almost a year, they did not perform any pest control aside from cleaning up spider webs outside. On the first visit they put out a bait station that soon filled with leaves and debris and was never re-baited. They inspected for openings in crawlspace and found none. Later, after I found rat evidence, I had them out twice to inspect (which took months to schedule.) The second time they sent contractors who clearly didn't know what they were doing who said that my (screened/sealed) attic vents were how rats were accessing my crawl space (??) and wanted to charge me $2800 to seal up the vents in my attic with tacked-on boards. Never mind the attic had no evidence of rats. I finally had to get under my deck to locate and seal off the hole in the foundation and hired another company to clean out the crawl space. When I called to fire them, they wanted to charge me an additional $165 to close the account. Never mind that I already paid them more than $800 to do nothing but be a pain in my side. Stay FAR away from this absolute scam of a company. (Yelp tagged this as San Francisco, it is actually in the Seattle, WA area) read more
