Jesse came out to my 4plex a few years back, and he won my bid for overall price, service, and communication. The install was done quick with no delays. Fast forward 3 years, tenant calls with a report the roof is leaking. Called Jesse at 7pm, and by 8am the next morning the leak was found and fixed. If you're in need of a new roof in Kern County, make your first call to Ed & J United Roofing. Our experience with this great small business was very positive. From the first call to the office talking with Maria to set up a visit for an estimate, to a visit by Ed one of the owners, it was obvious by the way he went about inspecting and measuring the roof, that he knows the business well. He left us a pamphlet for choosing the roof material and instructed us to call Maria with details. She emailed us an estimate which we believed to be a fair price for the job so we accepted it and she put us on their schedule. The install team arrived on time as scheduled and set about tearing off the old roof the first day. They inspected the roof very thoroughly, we have many skylights and I had a concern there may be damage around them, there was not. After the county inspected the roof sheeting, the installation team proceeded to do an excellent job of installing our new roof. These guys worked very hard on this job, there was no easy roof access from the street for a truck and conveyor so they had to load every single bundle of shingles to the roof manually. I watched them use a ladder and a pulley system to get the shingles to the roof, it was pretty impressive! It was also very labor and time intensive, way to go installation team! Upon completion, the roof was once again inspected by the county, there were no issues. The job was not complete until Jesse and a team arrived to clean up a few things around the place to make it look like they were never there. We are happy to say our new roof looks exactly how we had hoped it would. This is a great company offering a great product by skilled workers at a very competitive price. These guys do it again! This review is long overdue. Of course, after it actually rains here, my roof showed it had issues. Honest communication, hardworking, and reasonable pricing, leaves the work area like he was never there. J has taken care of my roof issues twice now. To be fair, he warned me about those valleys BEFORE it became a problem. Well I should have listened. He's good! I highly recommend J and his crew. read more

I received a letter from my homeowners insurance company stating they were going to cancel my homeowners insurance due to possible mold, mildew, moss, or algae on my roof. I called this company as their listing said they were certified professionals and offered "roof cleaning". Martin came on March 28, 2024 and climbed on my roof. He did NOT note any of the aforementioned potential problems. He also felt my roof had approx. 20 years+ as it is a 40 year GAF roofing material. When I asked Maria and Ayesha if they could send a brief letterhead note to my insurance company they said they are NOT certified and they didn't want to send a note where they might incur some type of liability. After numerous calls and failures to call me back I continued to call their company. They are apparently too lazy or incompetent to construct a few sentences so my insurance company could be made aware that I do NOT have any mold, moss, mildew, or algae. Their site mentions they offer "Customized Solutions". They are Far from that notation. I would NEVER use this company for any of my future roofing needs nor would I recommend them. Some people just make false claims and then do not know what Public Relations really means. So nearly two weeks later I come to find out they will not help me. read more

Absolutely fantastic. Fair and honest. I had some rotted facia. Ed came out to give an estimate. He not only got on a ladder and started removing tiles to diagnose the problem, he showed me and educated me what the problem was. His office got back with me the following day with a written detailed estimate via emailI. I accepted this estimate and they performed the work a few days later. The guys who showed up were punctual and professional. All the work was performed that was agreed upon for the dollar amount agreed upon. No hidden fees or scams. Just good honest hard working LOCAL folks running an honest business. Diamond Ridge Roofing used to be my first call, now they're not even on the call list. I requested a service quote. They offered me a same day appointment. I requested another day and time. They stated 2/12/2024 @ 10:00AM. They never showed. I messaged them again on the 12th asking if it was scheduled for the 12th and I STILL haven't heard back from them. My experience wasn't the best with these guys. So my money will go elsewhere. read more
