Cindy my Dental Hygienist is simply the best! I see her each quarter as she very experienced & amazing communicator to the whys of practicing dental hygiene. Amber is efficient, informative & professional. She ensures that in the front desk everything runs smoothly. Delores is the chief of the office. She doesn't hesitate to jump in anywhere she see a need that requires attention. All the staff that I didn't name are amazing. Together, they make ANTHEM PERIODONTICS & DENTAL IMPLANTS About Doc!! I met Doc and the team May of 2020. I had grown despondent of my former dentist office. I consulted with a friend regarding her periodontist. I was experiencing bone loss in a large part because of kidney disease. Doc assessed the situation after he got rid of the "chunky monkey's" he creatively restored my gum tissue through a surgical procedure. He, Amber, Delores & of Cindy stay on me regarding pre-medicating prior to my quarterly cleaning. My gums have exponentially healed from my first appointment. My dental hygiene has as well. Absolute complete waste of time. Had a referral to come here from my dentist to fix an area 5 gum so needed a quick gum contouring for medical reasons...not cosmetic ones. Called and let them know of the referral and the issue and she scheduled me in for today. At the time of the call I asked how much it would be and she said $175 bc it was a new patient special. Sweet, that's great...unbelievable only that much, but great. She called me yesterday for a reminder and I once again asked / confirmed the price. I drove over 30 minutes just to find out that was only for xrays and a mouth exam. Uhmm, what?!? That wasn't even to be able to do the procedure that I was thinking I was going to have done at that moment. What a load of bs...I'm not paying that just for xrays and a mouth exam when I already received that from my dentist who referred me to you for only one reason. I am not interested in using your doctor for any reason other than what I was referred to you for. Very frustrated because I specifically asked for the amount of what it would cost for what I was referred for, not once, but twice, only to find out they wouldn't do the contour without the other and that wasn't even what my appointment was for. I've been referred to many oral specialists who didn't pull this money grab and was able to take care of the issue at the time of the initial appointment. Needless you say I walked out. Just FYI: Anthem Periodontics has 4.5 stars because they solicit your positive Yelp review with a link after your appointment. However, Dr. DeAndrade (singular) is also on Yelp with only 3.5 stars and many bad reviews. But Anthem Periodontics IS Dr. DeAndrade so having two business listings (presumably in an attempt to distract from the crappy one) is kind of dishonest. I found that out when I came on Yelp to find a new dental team. There are many issues that bother me here at this office, not the least of which is the fact that they employ non-clinical staff in positions where clinical people need to be. As a medical professional myself, I cannot tell you how frustrating it is to listen to someone who has no idea what the hell she's talking about, talk. It's ridiculous. The main issue, though, is Dr. DeAndrade. He prescribed Vicodin even though I clearly indicated in several places I couldn't take it. (I guess he doesn't actually read the paperwork he has you fill out.) He eventually said he'd prescribe Norco as Norco "had nothing to do with" Vicodin, and those were his exact words. Just to be sure, I did some quick research and it turns out Norco and Vicodin ARE the same. If anything, Norco can be slightly stronger depending on the manufacturer in terms of the ratio of hydrocodone to acetaminophen. So that's like DeAndrade saying to me, "Oh, I see Vicodin is harmful to you. Okay, let's go ahead and give you some stronger Vicodin." :/ In medicine, practitioners are not supposed to do anything that would put the patient in danger or cause them harm. I guess DeAndrade wasn't feeling his oath that day, I don't know. The experience upset me so much that I sought out a 2nd opinion and had my dental surgery with a competent and kind physician who has a 5 star rating here ( a REAL 5-star rating, as in unsolicited) on Yelp. He did NOT prescribe Vicodin after I told him I couldn't tolerate it and prescribed Percocet, which I am able to take without problems. Be careful where you get your medical care and with whomever is providing it. I can only speak for my own experience but if a doctor doesn't know that Norco and Vicodin are the same thing then I don't want him treating me. read more

Dr Ed did my one and only implant just over a year ago and I could not be more satisfied. He is clearly a knowledgeable, experienced and patient professional who explained everything fully and seemed to take great care when working on my mouth. I have heard many horror stories about implants so I was somewhat apprehensive but, a year on, I can honestly say I have not had a single problem or hint of discomfort. I would highly recommend him and would go to him for future needs without a second thought. After reading some of the negative reviews, it's almost as if we went to 2 different people! I never found Dr Ed to be arrogant, although in my experience medical professionals who are at the top of their profession can often come across as somewhat arrogant since they are understandably confident in their abilities. I have not experienced the office trying to sell me additional services, although there have been times when I have been frustrated by lengthy, in one case insanely long, waits for staff members other than Dr Ed himself. To be fair, I did on one occasion receive a comprehensive apology for my long wait and an assurance that it would not be repeated. In any event, these minor issues with office management would never deter me from returning to Dr Ed himself. read more

DeAndrade did a horrible job in my mouth, I had an excruciating tooth pain, he promised me it will go way after his treatment, I paid in full $2,505.00 and after 5 weeks of his treatment I went for my follow up and told him that I still can't chew, I am in the same level of pain and even worse, and all my cheek is swallowed because of my tooth. He started me like an idiot and he said "I don't know, you have to visit a dentist, I don't know " so why you promised me at my first visit that you're going to treat it? And why I paid you out of the pocket all these money already for nothing? He had no answers of course...and he was very rude and started yelling at me... and asked me to leave! Because he had no answers! I have never seen a doctor like him in my life... He's not knowledgeable, he's not a good doctor and neither a good PERSON.Keep of his office completely. Now, I understand why he went out of business in Summerlin... and he's only in Henderson located. Worst doctor ever! read more

The office staff in front is extremely rude. Since they moved from SUMMERLIN to Henderson big difference. Have been here 3 times and same experience now. The gal at front desk lost files, argued over if my insurance would cover and wanted me to pay 200 out of pocket. I had to make her file with insurance to only be told they wouldn't pay it. Then I called to see where it was and she told me to call the insurance myself. On my last visit I asked about it and she said no they didn't pay anything ... after calling billing I was told they did and I had a 200.00 credit. What was more upsetting is Dr. A heard this and instead coming out ( he was not with patient) he knew I was upset he ignored it and walked away. I was told later the girls up front would never be rude so I was called a liar. All I needed was the doctor to just say , sorry we make mistakes and I would have been fine - but to cover up for a bad rude employee, lost my business. I was referred by my dentist here for bone grafting and an implant. I did have to come out of pocket because he is not on my insurance plan (ouch), but the results were well worth it. I didn't get everything I paid for back from my insurance, but that's on them, not the Doctor. Dr. De Andrade was quick but thorough, and it was all pretty painless. His technical knowledge and familiarity with the procedure along with his optimism for long term prognosis instilled confidence on my end. I do believe he is one of the best in town. I also found his staff to be pleasant and personable, and they were totally accommodating with my payment options and working with my insurance to coordinate my refund. Periodontists are who you go to for critical dental issues, and I trust this one if I ever have another issue again. read more

This office tacks on a $25 ppe fee. Problem is that insurance won't pay for it. We were not informed of this fee when we made the appointment. This office is adding the charge in a way that undercuts insurance coverage, because as a contracted provider it is supposed to only bill what insurance allows. read more

The doctor/dentist was nice enough but it is his staff and billing that's a problem. They said that our insurance was going to cover the procedure but it didn't. Then they just sent us to collections without even giving us a bill!! Will never go here again. No way. No matter how nice the doctor was, you'll end up with issues with their billing office. I was urged by the staff to upgrade my previous one star review, so here it is: 1. I had laser work done, which is a fantastic procedure but I was never given the education on it. There was quite a bit I should have known but was not told until way after my procedure and by then it was too late. Hence, my treatment and the $3000 out of pocket might have been for nothing. 2. I didn't appreciate being given a guilt trip to update the ratings. If you want better ratings, I want better treatment. ....but since the Dr. is truly talented, I'll do it. 3. So after reading all the reviews and doing my own research I decided to give them a try. First of all the places really set up well very comforting and I personally feel the staff was friendly and very knowledgeable I had a good experience at the front desk and everyone involved. I never felt like just a number on appointment time so I don't know what all the other reviews are about. The doctor greeted me in about 25 minutes I understand it was busy. I had some work done to my gums and he was very detailed and what was gonna happen before and after the insurance was absolutely no problem. The only interest DeAndrade has is in your insurance coverage..A lousy, rude office staff who equally doesn't give a crap about you..DeAndrade keeps you waiting in the chair for 40 minutes because he is so busy selling his procedures to potential clients sitting in his other rooms. If you have rotten gums, that doesn't mean you go to a rotten dentist..If you use DeAndrade you indeed have found a rotten dentist. Avoid at all costs. read more

I was referred to Dr. De Andrade by my regular dentist to have four extractions and dental implants. The Dr. saved two of my teeth so that I didn't need two of the extractions/implants.
