My home away from home. After moving to vegas, I felt really far away from home. I've also had the same hygienist for YEARS. I was referred here by my now husband and omg I'm glad he did. Nanette (I hope that's how you spell it) is the most amazing human. Not only does she make me feel like I'm just hanging out with one of my cousins back home, but she is so amazing at what she does. My teeth always feel amazing and it's always great conversation. Everyone there makes you feel so comfortable and welcome, from the front desk, to the dentist and his assistants. I made a 1215 appt on a weekday. I was very interested in bringing my family and I to this dentist, as it's right down the street from where we live. I left work for my dentist appt and arrived a few minutes late, not much. Because I had to fill out paperwork, I was told they would not see me, as they were going to lunch at 1 pm. I was told to reschedule an appt. This was pretty frustrating considering I left work for the appointment. I am a very patient person and have never left a negative review of a business. The customer service was horrible. The ladies at the front desk were not welcoming in the least. To be fair, I never met with the dentist. I have no idea why they would schedule me at 1215 if the dentists needed to be out of there by 1. It would seem they're not interested in new patients. I'll take my family elsewhere. read more

I've been going to the same dentist for over 10 years but have had problems with the office following through with insurance and future appointments. I heard so many good things about Island Smiles I decided to give them a try and I'm so so happy I did! First off the front desk is extremely friendly and scheduling my appt was super easy. My appointment time was 10am and they actually got me in right away. The girl who did my X-rays was friendly and professional. Now onto Dr. Chisteckoff, he was AMAZING!! He came in right away and was beyond thorough explaining what his recommendations are and what I needed to do to prevent any future problems. He was so patient and really takes his time with you, you don't feel like just a number. Right after our meeting his hygienist Brie (I hope I spelled correctly) came in to bring me to my cleaning. Hands down the best most thorough cleaning I've ever had, I seriously could have fallen asleep. Unlike most cleanings I've had where it feels like they are trying to rip your grill out w a metal rod Brie used a mix of three different tools to make sure she got every bit of nastiness out of my teeth. They feel great!!! She will be the only hygienist I will ever go to from here on out. This was the best part, when I went to check out they had a printout of the work that needs to be done along w what my insurance would cover and what my part would be. Mind blown!! This would take my old dentists office WEEKS and that's IF they ever got back to me! So impressed by this! All in all, the whole staff is awesome. I highly recommend them all!!!! So far, there is nothing I can say bad about this place. We needed a new kids dentist two years ago. I went to my HR department and asked for recommendations. (My kids old dentist closed his office to teach.) Island Smiles was one of two places in Henderson that other employees had told HR that they liked it. One thing that put me off at first was their encouragement for me to stay in the waiting room. I am probably a bit of a helicopter mom, so this was hard. The times I have gone back to check on them, they both have reported that they were fine and told me to leave. I find the front desk staff to be knowledgeable and helpful. The dental hygienists and dentist to treat my kids well and quickly. We have never waited more than 15 minutes past our appt time, which is not something that most can say about other dentists. Billing is always right. Good place to go. Husband and I have decided to start going there now. You should, too. read more

After 11 months and more than 3 dozen times of coming back and forth for my dentures, they had not come up with an even good working good fit dentures. Gave them so much chances and I was very patient and cool! But I finally quit my hopes when the dentures I tried broke right in my mouth! They returned my money but they had charged my insurance already. Anyways, after less than 3 months with another dentist, I finally have a great working dentures! Worst Dentist EVER!! Beware to any cost they give you because it's all an estimate!!!! I was told over the phone that my procedure will be $17 because i met all deductions. All of a sudden when i show up to the office, i got another sheet saying it's now $23. They print another sheet and all of a sudden it's up $59. Took an X-ray that was pointed to a root canal. Beware!! This Island Smiles on Maryland Parkway and Pebble will suck any money they can out of you. Another incident before this, i paid for a $500 procedure and then get another bill in the mail for another $75. WORST DENTIST IN VEGAS!!! read more

I spent a year of pain staking work with this incompetent Dentist. I paid paid for 6 mini implants and he could not get them installed properly. THE PAIN WAS unbearable and, the ones he did manage to get in, (with much blood, pain and bone fragments sticking through my gums) fell out and or broke off in my jaw bone. I have a collection of the implants sitting in a jar in my medicine cabinet. He only partially refunded my money . I have to sue him for the rest. My feeling is that I wouldn't let Island smiles work on my pet let alone my family. Stay away he is all talk (good sales pitch) and not much else. Stephi F. read more

Another good aspect about Island Smiles is that they are good at responding to emails and phone messages when you need information or need to make an appointment. PLEASE CHOSE WISELY: Friendly yes, like a used car salesman friendly, Charged me thousands for implants & broke the implant off in my jaw bone! For the rest of my life, I will have his failed attempt at doing his mini implants on me. All He could say to me, was, it was my fault for having such a hard dam* jaw bone. GET IT ! HE FAILED, and its my bone that is the problem. He left me with a semi worthless upper partial plate and a completely useless bottom plate, made to hold his implants. Since he couldn't place the dental implants because of my too dam* hard bone. (MY BIG MISTAKE WAS AGREEING TO PAY HIM IN FULL UP FRONT.) HE ONLY partially refunded me for the other implants that he had not broken off in my jaw. I demanded a full refund, Since I have dentures that are worthless without the implants. "HE SAID SUE ME". The pain and damage was considerable to my jaw bone. It took me another year to heal and too save up enough money to get new implants from another dentist. 5 plus yrs later my new mini implants are still working great, no thanks to my nightmare dentist. Dr. Guy Chisteckoff and his gift of broken and embedded metal in my jaw bone that will be there for life. read more
