This was the first time I brought my puppy to a dog park because I'm nervous about how other dogs will behave but they were all very nice along with their owners. I would definitely visit this park again !!

We have a smaller dog so we went to that area first, but there weren't any dogs up there. The smaller dogs were with the big dogs in that area so we went down there and it was fine. Abandoned tennis balls litter the wasteland, running fountains abound and extra bowls of agua reside beneath the central gazebo. Per long-term pet parents, the grass has been gradually growing year-after-year, so maybe it will be fully grass someday. There are bowls and water fountains with adequate water pressure to ensure dogs stay hydrated when playing. There are some cliques at certain times, but haven't experienced anyone being rude - actually quite the opposite. People seem to be interested to learn and meet the newcomers (we moved back in January). The only issue I have come across is a dog walker once around 12:00pm on a weekday. He had 3-4 dogs and they all ran in and started humping mine and the walker did nothing about it, so when I got the dog off I took mine and left. Outside of this, the owners seem all responsible and are good at clocking signs when their dogs may be overstimulated or not liking another dog and will recall them. My pup is still learning how to interact with people but loves playing with other dogs. All the owners have been very respectful of him & his space and allowing him to approach them when he's ready. It's nice to see there are really nice, educated dog owners around the area!

Dogs here are usually well behaved and its clear of trash. There's not much in terms of extra amenities, but the space is large and the Hood Park owners did a great job painting the shipping containers. This is a temporary dog park that will go away once they build another lab space, so enjoy it while you can. Only con of the place is the doggie daycare people that come here in the daytime with tons of dogs and don't pick up after them. Yes, I'm talking about you guy in sunglasses with goatee and backwards hat (if you read this, you know I'm talking to you! Probably would better to watch the dogs since I could be a customer one day! Park 9 gave him a chance to interact with other dogs and now he's reliably sweet when saying hello to other canines on the street. Love the staff who are all attentive and professional, not to mention friendly. But the real miracle is our 14 year old Shih Tzu-- we had written him off as completely hostile to other dogs. Park 9 had some strange magical effect on him and at least while he's there, he's not driven to a murderous rage at the sight of another being of the canine persuasion. Wonders will never cease. The bar is nice-- I can recommend the Paw-ga-Rita. Beers are nice too. Just a great way to end the day. Don't pay attention to the haters on here-- don't know why they're deriding this gem of a place.
