I've used this shop many years. I am confident in the honesty of David Nesrsta as well as his workmanship. My relatives in Oklahoma used a jeweler who swapped their diamonds out for fakes. After their experience, I will not risk going to any other jewelry store for repairs except this one. A few weeks ago my watch stopped. David told me it would be about $40 to repair. When I went to pick it up, the bill was $5 and some change. My daughter-in-law-to-be said, "Wow, you can tell a jeweler is honest when the bill is less than the estimate!" I am getting married in 8 months and wanted to talk to them about getting some of my stuff in a setting and a few repairs of some heirlooms. I went in because i heard some good things from friends and family that used their services a while ago and was SOOO EXCITED! They spoke down to me and just made me feel like I was inconveniencing them. They couldn't help me so they waited for the man to be done to help me. while i was waiting the same lady that was rude to me WAS ARGUING ON THE PHONE WITH A CUSTOMER SAYING THAT THEY DONT HAVE HER JEWELRY AND SHE MUST HAVE PICKED IT UP AND IT MUST HAVE BEEN STOLEN FROM HER. there was no empathy or concern she was so bothered by the customer checking on her items that she said were waiting for 6months!!!!!!!!!!! My finance went to Mr.Nesrsta to see if they can set a diamond or what repairs they do. I've never had problems with Mr.N in the past times I've gone. There were 2 lady's helping her at the counter, the one with bangs was nice and very helpful but the middle aged heifer was entirely rude to her. Brought in three Mens watches to have new batteries installed and ask the person in front if they could be done today. In less than 1 hour the representative called me to inform me that the watches were ready. I am new to Alvin and have used other Jewelry stores and this business is by far one of the best. read more

This gentleman is a meticulous craftsmen and a very helpful person. When I wanted to give my wife a set of beautiful diamond stud earring he let me pick the diamond and then had to rob one of his rings to get the other one for the other ear. That was about two years ago. After being married for almost 30 years I lost my wedding ring at home in the bedroom but have never found it and my wife bought one for my birthday this year. But was way too large. I'm going to an event this weekend, and I really wanted to wear the ring so I took it to Ed on a Tuesday and he resized the ring in 24 hours for me. Now that is service! He did a beautiful job and I cannot tell it has been resized but he returned it highly polished and just perfect. His prices are very good and is a very fine man to work with. This place has been in my hometown since I can remember and have done great work over the years. I'm sad to say that their customer service, and general respect for their community members, have greatly declined. The lady that works up front is horrible and extremely rude. The service I requested was not even started on the day they promised it would be ready for pick-up. I would never recommend using this once great local jeweler. Ever! read more

I had a ring repaired by this jeweler and I am very happy with the result. I needed two small diamonds replaced and some prongs fixed. This ring is over 15 years old but now it looks like new. I was really amazed when I saw it. I would highly recommend this jeweler for jewelry repairs. My husband handled this for me so I never met anyone there but my husband said they were very helpful. read more
