I have heard nothing but good reviews about them, including from my venue .I was impressed with how organized and well plan ahead they seem to be. I had a consultation with both the Dj and The wedding coordinator. I gave the Dj quite a few must play songs. I also had a very specific request for the bride and groom Entrance into the reception. It is something I've always wanted to do. I was not sure if we were going to be able to have mariachis. Which the mariachis Would be a part of the entrance if we had them . If not, I had a Plan B and c , since this was really important that it went right. I was very pleased. Everything seemed to be in order. Everyone seemed excited.. I was definitely looking for the magic touch and for that excitement and momentum to be brought to the wedding. We started to hit some bumps in the planning With certain unexpected life occurrences That were unforeseen. We had to push our date out. Which they charged a 250 fee. Not even our venue did that due to the circumstances But I understand. Tragically, I had a death in my immediate family. Unfortunately, we had to push back again. Vega did reschedule with another 250 fee. Once again, they were the only vendor that did that but I get it. It was in the contract.so I Ended up using them for Dj service with the Lighting package and the day of coordinating service. They sent me a video of their mariachi's, which seemed very Entertaining And vivacious. So I made sure to make that happen at the last Moment. Which I did, let the Dj know. The night of the wedding, I began to come down being very ill. Covid was floating around, quite a few of my guest left with COVID. I text the coordinator to let her know I was starting to get sick, but I was going to take every medicine I had in my Cabinet. She was very sweet and assuring, which is what I needed. I ended up staying up till 4:30 AM and woke up at eight am . One blessing of the day as I was able to hold off being sick until a Day later. However, the medication definitely made me swell up . Needless to say the day did not go smooth in any shape way or form . but we made it through the wedding. It was now time for the reception.. I'm very sad to say I was completely let down with Vega Dj service. The Mariachis were OK definitely not lively. Definitely not worth $800 for hour . Definitely not very friendly. And I'm very sad to say our Dj flopped. He seemed like he was just there to collect a check, and that was it. There was no uplifting momentum.. Definitely missed more then a few songs that I had on my List. The songs he played did not get anyone out on the dance floor. For the most part for a DJ, he was very quiet. My biggest disappointment was after the careful planning of the bride and groom entrance. He completely did not follow through with that.. That was something that was very important to me and that is a moment I can never get back. And all I could do was smile and hide my disappointment when I walked into the Reception. The coordinator I initially felt bad for. it was a hectic day. I will definitely take accountability and own. The mistakes I made some of it could not be helped. Like me getting sick. Unfortunately, There was a lot of confusion and a lot of misunderstanding with some of the other vendors. Which I was a bit surprised since I was told the coordinator did contact all of them and verify everything and had all the details mapped out. However, She definitely sold me at the bridal show that she can handle any unexpected occurrences. I was going to TEXT her the next day and tell her thank you and how much I appreciate her service. However, one of my bridesmaids informed me that she had a lot to say about me and how poorly I handled the wedding and made it very stressful for her. The coordinator was $1500 just for the day. As the bride, I really should have had little to no stress . But to say that to my own bridesmaid was very disrespectful. very unprofessional . It made me wish I have not used the service at all. I've had other vendors who have called afterwards and asked how I felt about the service and made sure I was happy And if there was anything else they could do for me. Which to me was fantastic and Truly much appreciated. It definitely made me feel like they appreciated my business and wanted my business still. Which they will absolutely get. I have never heard from Vega I was very surprised to have such a negative experience with them . It actually still kind of surprises me to this day.. I wanted to wait to leave my review until after I had some time to definitely calm down and not even think about a wedding for a bit . We decided we will do a Vow Renewal As kind of a redo and definitely learning from our mistakes. And unfortunately, using the Vega DJs for any service is another Mistake I will not repeat.

Their equipment was state of the art, the props were actually unique and high-quality (nothing cheesy like some props can be), and they even sanitized each prop after use before placing them back on the table. Prior to our event that occurred on 9/6/26 we had great communication with Edvin, the owner. On our wedding day Edvin did not attend our event; another DJ was sent in his place. I was not notified of this change and was unable to speak to the DJ about our expectations prior to our event beginning. As cocktail hour began there was supposed to be a speaker placed outside included in our package, this did not occur and we had no music in the cocktail hour space and people outside were not able to hear any announcements from what was occurring inside the venue. I, the bride, asked her where the speaker was outside and she informed me she did not have a speaker outside. As dinner service began we informed her she could start calling tables. After calling a few tables she began playing on her phone to where no guests were being called for dinner, or in line, and my husband had to notify her to continue calling more tables. While eating dinner break up ballads were being played, "such as dancing on my own". My coordinator informed her that we did not want to listen to sad breakup songs and her response was "that was dinner music". As the reception began the first few songs were not our expected vibe at all. After a couple of 70's cheesy pop wedding songs we went over to her and asked if she had our information about playlists and the vibe we were going for. She stated that she did. Afterwards a few songs were played of our vibe. We had previously sent a 20 song playlist to Edvin for our event, and he requested to know what style we would like. There were probably only 5 songs played from this list. Throughout the night I had to request songs, inform her to skip songs that she had already played multiple times like "Get Low" and other songs of that genre. They did not play the vast majority of country songs we requested and only played neon moon which we did not even request or want played. We also purchased the platinum package from edvin which included two enhancements. The two that we decided on were an extra speaker and a bubble machine for our exit. We received neither of these enhancements and were not offered any other items to replace the enhancement. After our event I reached out to Edvin to hope he was doing okay as he did not attend our event and inform him of the issues that we had. Edvin basically stated sorry but there was not really anything he could do and offered us $50 after I informed him I expected a refund for the enhancements we did not receive. I am concerned that moving forward Edvin will not address these issues for couples and they will have the exact experience we had. My husband and I spent the entire night micromanaging the DJ because she was not properly informed of the expectations of our event that we did not even dance with each other other than our first dance and the very last song. Our guests enjoyed themselves because we have extraordinary friends who celebrate all of life's moments with us even when they do not meet expectations. We are extremely grateful that the rest of our vendors and day was absolutely extraordinary but DJ Edvin's services left a bad stain of a lackluster experience that could have easily been avoided and alleviated had more communication occurred. I would honestly provide even more detail of this incident if I had the space to.
