Noticed a crowd outside at this place on a warm day and stopped in. Just opened, no sign yet, but it turned out to be an ice cream place. Italian ice, actually. Lots of patio tables outside, decent sitting area inside. They've decorated in a bright, fun way; I think this used to be a car dealership, but now it looks like a cafe on the beach. They have a couple of dozen flavors, and of course I had to try the root beer. I got a "root beer float," two layers of root beer ice with I think vanilla gelato in between. Good flavor, very cold, a nice treat. The "middie" size was about $4; that is probably a bit higher than the plain flavors due to the combination. Lots of interesting flavors, and I will be back on some hot summer days. I bet it will be a local favorite, and it's worth a little detour to try it out. Cute local place, staff is very friendly and kind! Service is quick and the portions are good for the price. Flavors rotate (weekly I think is what they told me) but they always have regular chocolate and vanilla which is great for those who love the classics. I've worked a block away from Eda's for 2 years and somehow never tried it until today...I have been missing out! They have reopened recently from what I understand, so all the girls working were wearing masks. They were all so friendly and sweet! I got a cherry Italian ice, which is better than any snow cone type dessert I've ever had, since they freeze the syrup and water together before shaving into a perfect fine snow. The flavor is evenly distributed this way. My fiancé got a cookies and cream gelato which is made with ice cream sandwiches, and it was delicious as well. The place is super clean, with cute modern decor. Will definitely return in the coming summer months! read more

They took over a used car lot so there is PLENTY of parking. Always a line because yes, they are THAT good. Eda's Italian Ice is a very unique ice treat shop. Not only do they sell smooth Italian ice with great flavor, they sell amazing Gelato. And if you can't decide which one to get, no worries, Eda's got you covered. Order a Strato. It is a combination of the two. Choose your flavors to create awesome combinations. Like Rootbeer or Creamsicle Italian Ice with Vanilla Galato. Simply wonderful. They have a creamy peach Italian ice which is one of my favorites. Tonight, I had one of their new gelato flavors, Oatmeal Scotchie. My new favorite. I sure hope they keep this flavor around. Oh my yum! This was soooooo good! I have never had gelato before and this was amazing! Hubby had chocolate and I had salty caramel pretzel. His was really good, and I think I liked it better than mine, and I'm not a huge plain chocolate fan. Service was fast and friendly, they let me try a sample because I wasn't sure what I wanted.
