Last night, one of those things we all dread happened. The low tire pressure indicator came on... And was dropping fast. When I got home, I inspected the tire and low and behold a nail was right in the middle. Unfortunately, damage to the tire was already done. So I look up tire places in the area and came across Eddie and Yoli's. It was close by and the opened at 7:30am on Saturday. Which I told him they need to update their hours because on Yelp it says they are closed. I get there at 7:30am and there's two cars already waiting. It's a one man operation but he is absolutely, by far, one of the most efficient guys I've come across. He banged out the two cars ahead of me and I was in in no time. You pull into the bay and there's tires EVERYWHERE. He's climbing the tires like a mountain climber to get to the right size. It's absolutely amazing. He knocks the job out in no time and I'm bracing myself for the price. As someone that grew up working on my own cars, putting a new tire on is something one can't do in their driveway. So I always cringe when I need a new tire. When he told me the price, I couldn't believe it. Wasn't even in the same neighborhood as what I was expecting. Wow how have I never thought to review this amazing spot? Located right off the main avenue in Lyndhurst, they are the friendliest and fastest place around. Eddie checked all my tires and topped them off for free since the tire light had shut off by the time I got to him. He told me to come back when the light was on so he could truly see which tire was causing the issue. I went back in months later (lack of time, life, etc), and I sat in the car while they both pulled the tire off and fixed it. Took less than 20 minutes and man were they affordable! Lovely couple. This place is literally a hidden gem. You have to get around all the one way streets to get there but well worth it. The wait wasn't long and I was out of there very quickly! If you need to wait, there's plenty of places to walk to like the bakery or subway across the street. As a woman I felt very safe going there. They didn't try to sell me on anything. Bought a set of tires online and had them shipped to the shop. Never been here before, and went solely on the ratings from TireRack. That said, I'm glad I did. Yolanda called me as soon as the tires were in and we had them mounted and balanced the same day. Eddie is fast! Though he was working on a Suburban when I was there, helped two other people with their tire issues, WHILE prepping my car - I still got out in under an hour. Thats incredible. On hindsight I should've gotten used tires from him for my older 2001 Rodeo. He has a huge assortment of stacked, used tires with plenty of tread left - all different sizes. I will say this: Dont show up 1hr before closing time. From what I saw, he gets a ton of walk-ins and you may need to come back the next day if you come too late. This place was amazing! I have been filling my front, left tire with air and usually it will hold a while but lately, it has been deflating fast. Yoli greeted me right away and was super friendly.
