This was a seafood feast that I will always cherish. I definitely see myself returning to this place to celebrate birthdays or special moments in life. I highly recommend this restaurant to any seafood lover. They prepared our dishes using a wonderful variety of techniques. I was initially hesitant to order the steamed Chilean sea bass, but it turned out to be perfect light, flaky, and with perfectly balanced aromatics that I'll be dreaming about until I return. Our server Vinnie was elegant and funny. He handled all our questions with ease and even brought us a complimentary side dish he personally enjoyed, which was a lovely touch. I felt like I was dining in seafood heaven; each dish was more exciting than the last. And I can't forget about the cocktails! Although I don't have a photo of my mango Moscow mule, it was the perfect pairing for my Asian-inspired three-course seafood meal. This restaurant definitely has a fancy vibe, you'll want to dress up a bit. But since it was a hot 100-degree day, my family and I appreciated the staff's kindness in welcoming us despite our casual attire. I can't praise enough the wonderful people here. The chef, the front-of-house team, and the wait staff are all five-stars! They made my family feel truly special and well taken care of. The food was very well prepared; I had salmon Oscar, one friend had sea bass, the third had plain salmon. We each started with a salad, all good. A couple of points, however, in all fairness: The waiter kept promoting the red meat dishes. This is a fish restaurant! It was way too dark, despite the gorgeous chandelier. We had to use our phone flashlights to see the menu. The wine list selections were very slim. From the outside, Eddie V's already gives off a polished, upscale feel, and once inside, the jazz playing softly in the background immediately set the tone. We grabbed seats at the bar, which I highly recommend. Pro tip: arrive early if you want bar seating, the bartenders are extremely friendly, genuinely engaging, and it is fun to watch them craft the drinks. We took full advantage of the happy hour menu with a dozen oysters, Wagyu beef sliders, a dirty martini, and a glass of Caymus. The happy hour pricing is a solid deal and the food quality was excellent. Another couple joined us, so we moved to a table and continued into dinner. Appetizers included a Caesar salad, burrata and beet salad, and lobster bisque. The burrata and beet salad was bright, fresh, and zesty and really stood out. The lobster bisque was the one miss of the night, served lukewarm with only a small piece of lobster. For mains, we ordered the Chilean sea bass prepared Chinese-style and the A5 Wagyu dumplings. The sea bass was exceptional, flavorful, perfectly cooked, and generously portioned. The wine list is phenomenal with great options by the glass and bottle, and the cocktail program is clearly handled by skilled professionals. This is also a great choice for a romantic night out. We dined at this establishment for my birthday with reservations a week in advance for our party of 5 and even then, the reservations were limited and booked, so that was a great indication of what was to come. We arrived on time to a very intimate, classic cloth table dining establishment and we were seated quickly at one of their larger tables. We interacted with friendly staff. I love seafood so I was pleased with the options offered and went with the crab stuffed shrimp. The table also shared the crab rice, mac & cheese, Brussels sprouts, and I believe a mashed potatoes of some sort. I was happy with my meal. Just came home from perhaps the best meal I've ever eaten. The service was impeccable, food was absolutely delicious and overall a fabulous experience. From the valet, to the doorman, to the hostess, to our amazing waiter, Nick, to the manager...we couldn't have asked for more attentive service. The 135 dollar shellfish tower was absolutely awful, the lobster and shrimp were way way over cooked and not edible, a few of the oysters were like slimy and gross looking , not like the others yet they still put them on the tray, the tuna tartar was not good, the tuna was gray in color and pasty, the steak tartar was ok at best, the only flavor was mustard , nothing else, and we also ordered 6 oysters to start and one of those was gross looking and couldn't be eaten, it was shriveled. All in all the bill was 397 dollars and I would have been happier staying home and getting delivery, incredibly disappointing. read more

It took a while to get our drinks and even longer for our food to arrive, which made the evening feel a little dragged out. We were there for a total of 3 hours. That said, once the food did arrive, it was fantastic. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly: tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Easily one of the best steaks I've had in the area. The mac and cheese was also a standout; rich, creamy, and the ultimate comfort food done right. While the pace of service could definitely use improvement, the quality of the food made up for it. We had an absolutely incredible experience at Eddie V's Prime Seafood last night, one we'll remember for a long time--especially since we were celebrating my 13-year-old son's birthday. Rachel, our server, was truly exceptional. From the moment we sat down, she was attentive, warm, and incredibly thoughtful--especially with my son. When the power unexpectedly went out at the Cherry Hill Mall due to the windstorm, Rachel and the staff turned what could have been a disruption into something special. She brought us extra bread and surprised us with a champagne toast for the adults and carbonated apple juice for my son, which made him feel incredibly celebrated. The food was outstanding. The bone-in, dry-aged New York strip may have been one of the most tender, perfectly cooked, and well-seasoned steaks I've ever had. Every side was just as impressive--the truffle mac and cheese, Brussels sprouts, and crab fried rice were all absolutely delicious. Dessert was the perfect finish to an already amazing meal. Beyond Rachel, the entire team deserves recognition. The general managers were actively walking the floor, checking in on guests, and the bus staff was attentive and professional. The coordination, hospitality, and genuine care shown by everyone made the evening feel special despite the circumstances. This was hospitality at its best. This was my first time dining at Eddie V's in Cherry Hill. I fell in with the V Lounge in KOP and now I'm caught up in an entanglement. (shhhh ... That's just between us lol). Eddie V's consistently knocks it out of the park! From your first contact, be it an online review of their website and making reservations, to entering the establishment and being greeted at the hostess stand, to the pleasantries exchanged from the staff member escorting you to your table, through to the expectation being set of who your server will be, followed by impeccable service from a team (if necessary) of absolutely wonderful and down to earth professionals who remain attentive yet never obtrusive. Simply magnificent! I had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday with 3 friends that came in from out of town, and the next level personal treatment, on top of the amazing food, and the manager's thank you and extension of a warm welcome to us in the future was not taken for granted. The atmosphere is always opulent. And on a summer evening when it was still close to 90 degrees, the cool interior temperature was exquisite. Everything we chose was prepared to perfection. This was the first time 2 of my friends had dined at Eddie V's and they were very pleased. Rating 2.5/5. I was disappointed in the way the food came out. We asked for the rack of lambs to be cooked medium and when we cut it its was very much rare. We had to send it back to put it back on the grill while losing 1/6 of the racks when brought back to our table. For paying 64 then losing 1/6 of your meal was extremely disappointing. Crab fried rice was good flavor wise but unfortunately the rice was not cooked all the way. I'm not sure if they freeze the rice first which led to this result. But a lot of the bites had a crunch/snap in the rice grains itself. On positive notes, services was good. The calamari was a good portion and I enjoyed the scalloped. But for the price you're paying the expensive was still disheartening when it came to the food. read more

So first of all I want to say that rating steakhouses absent "rules" is very difficult. The steakhouse setup is pretty formulaic, you pay extraordinary prices for fawning service in which the waiter attempts to inflate your tab as large of possible, all in the guise of fawning service. "Would you like a sauce with that?" Yes? That is a $20 upcharge! Would you like the menu 'special'? Oops, you didn't see how expensive that was and I didn't mention it. I also don't think I can compare steakhouses to, say, diners. Different rules. So I will consider Eddie V relative to other comparable restos like Capital Grille, which is just a few feet away. So pluses of Eddie V relative to Capital: more extensive seafood menu, live music well isolated so that if you want to sit in quiet you can. Minuses: VERY difficult to read wine menu not well organized. I wanted to know which wines I could get by the glass and at Capital its easy there is a special section. My waiter was extremely green, that was the luck of the draw. Au poivre? "I don't know what that is". Brandy? "We don't have that". Pluses and minuses not clear: did I detect a slightly more aggressive attempt to pad my already stratospheric bill, than at Capital? Not sure. Sauces and preparations are "extra". I personally resent this. Capital doesn't have this yet. Prices stratospheric even for a steakhouse? Not sure. Beef prices are up I would have to rush over to Capital and get the same things and compare. All that said I got what I asked for, my steak medium rare done au poivre and it was perfect, it was done the French way with a creamy sauce. I got my brandy and ginger ale in the tall glass I requested. The icecream (not on the menu) was delicious. It was served with cold cookies that were nothing special that was surprising. Of course I am nitpicking. Total for two with drinks and tip and tax? $265. Wow. I think that Eddie V has nothing to be ashamed of next to its competition. I fault it for being slightly anonymous, each of the steakhouses have "an angle" I couldn't discern at Eddie V. I give the edge to Capital and I will revisit this the next time I try Capital, because of the bill-padding and difficult-to-read wine menu. But no one is tricking you you will have a good time here and be paying for it for months. Save up. read more

I started working in NJ and I wanted to go somewhere nice for my birthday with my boyfriend. The interior is very nice and there was a live jazz band playing when we arrived. We ordered the shellfish tower to share and then I ordered the medallions. The steak was so beautifully cooked and melted in my mouth. The seafood was also very fresh and the lobster wasn't over cooked like it is at other restaurants. At the end the waitress brought me a complimentary birthday cake. The food was all 10/10. The lobster tacos were pricy but completely worth it. The entrees were delicious, we were even offered a sampling of a side of carrots with citrus yogurt sauce. The dessert was PHENOMENAL and the little details with the writing made it even better. The manager came up to us to check in and he was polite and cheerful. at the end of the night we did unfortunately leave our leftovers there by accident and they called us and kept them at the front of the restaurant for us to pick up. The ambiance was casual; we sat near the piano in the bar area at a table, the lights were dim, and before the band came you heard light chatter and people watching the games. The server was friendly and attentive to the table and our needs, and she also gave great suggestions. Everything is family style. We had the crab cake appetizer which was tasty and had flavor to it and the sauce paired perfectly. We had the lobster mashed potatoes, and we were split on this. I didn't like the taste but my partner said it reminded her of red lobsters loaded baked potatoes. We also had the medallion oscar style (something like that) the steak was cooked well, tasted average, nothing impressive. Dessert was very good. This place knocked it out of the park. We arrived right at the height of the dinner rush, so we opted to sit at the bar, but that was packed too. We probably waited around 45 minutes for someone to get up...probably would have been 15 minutes if some A-hole and his troll wife didn't cut in front of us. The two managers were outstanding. One of them was in the Marines, Semper Fi. Both of them came up to us and said they were working on getting us a spot and offered my wife and me a complimentary cocktail. That was super thoughtful. After waiting there patiently, the bartender got my attention and motioned to me when someone was getting up, so we were sure to get a spot. After finally getting a place at the bar, we placed our order. My wife had the New York strip and I had the ribeye. Both were cocked to perfection and were delicious. For my meal, I ordered the 18 Oz NY strip, lobster white cheddar mashed potatoes, crab fried rice, and 2 Jumbo Stuffed Gulf Shrimp as an enhancement to my steak.
