    Steamed dumplings
    Stephanie A.

I've been looking for decent steamed dumplings in the area. So far these, along with the ones at Jing Jing, are top contenders!

    Vegetable soup

I wasn't feeling good, i ordered a Vegetable soup. It was very bland with oversized vegetables in it. Could cut the veggies down a little bit and add some seasoning to the soup. Won't order this again.

Just left Eddie's 2 Go...I havent been here in so long but their food is amazing. Never had a nasty meal from their Chinese food to their Philly Steak Sandwiches. We ordered the crab rangoon which has a sweeter taste than other ones I've tried. Also ordered beef and broccoli, a couple egg rolls, pork fried rice, spring roll, and fried chicken. Definitely will come back soon!!

Not even Sweet and Sour chicken, more like overcooked breading.

Absolutely disappointed tonight. Don't advertise you close at 10:30 and then serve me not even hot garbage. I called well before 10 and got their five minutes after 10, paid for my food and even left a tip, left and came home just to unbox this abomination you want to call sweet and sour chicken. The egg roll was even overcooked, but I was so hungry it was the one thing that was somewhat edible, even though I'm paying for it now. Folks if you know sweet and sour chicken, it sure doesn't look like that! To many years of living here and having a friend work their for many years, and frequented in my youth to have to deal with this crap now. What changed? You finally tired and just need to call it quits? Just close up shop and save yourselves. You obviously don't need the stress anymore. You can't even prepare sweet and sour chicken correctly anymore.

Everything taste fresh and made in front of you. I haven't had any other Chinese food that taste better.

Szechuan Chicken (in my own bowl)
    Rich S.

I only came here because Thai Thai was closed. The place was packed on a Friday night at around 10. I quickly tried to decide what I wanted when I arrived as there was a group of folks behind me and there was no organized line. I ultimately stuck to one of my go-to's for Chinese take-out, the Szechuan Chicken. While waiting I looked over the menu and was surprised to see American dishes- such as cheesesteak and hamburgers- and also Pancit. The Szechuan Chicken only came in one size and was around $10, which I found a bit high. The food itself really wasn't anything above average for takeout, so I can't say that I would be tempted to come back.. I was, however, impressed with the speed of preparation and cleanliness of the kitchen. And the cashier, while "in the zone" with taking orders over the phone, taking orders in person and handing out orders, was quite friendly.

Ordered my food today and everything was dry, and discolored. The egg roll was hard and smelled like old grease. I won't be going back.

One thing to note is that this place is technically "The Cheesesteak Shop"... you'll see it on the menu when you come in. Rick's is a staple of a name in the Hampton Roads area. Rick's is a name that is synonymous with great Cheese Steak and if you visit them all you'll notice differences in the recipes/flavor amongst them. We were at the one in Williamsburg one week, then went directly to this one the next week later. This one, the meat is slightly more seasoned with pepper or something with a mild heat. Nothing crazy, just noticeable. The bread was a little wet and I really would've preferred it being more toasted. Overall, it was an 'ok' cheese steak. I was going to rate this a 3 but overall I give it a 4 b/c the service was friendly enough to warrant the boost. I hate to say it but I didn't like it. I ordered a cheesesteak and a chicken cheesesteak egg roll. My biggest complaint with both was the meat was chopped way too fine for me. I'm use to big slices of steak and chicken in my cheesesteaks. The sub roll was also not substantial enough to stay intact when I bit into it. It just fell apart. I will try this place again when I'm visiting the area because like I said earlier others thought it was great. I'll also go earlier next time because I overheard the cook say while I was waiting, "here comes the end of the night rush." They had some good foot traffic.

Let's get into it! This Cheesesteak Cafe is a "Mom and Pops Joint" located at Peninsula Town…read moreCenter. It serves Philly-style cheesesteaks, samplers, egg rolls, exceptional customer service, and some of the Best Wings I have had in the area! The restaurant is relatively small and gloomy, with enough seating to hold about 20 people for dine-in; however, this place is not a dine-in but a takeout place. I like that they put their full menu online, unlike other places that only put limited items. Service is outstanding; my first time calling in an order, the server not only told me how long it would be. Also, on this occasion, after calling in my order and completing the call, the server realized there was something that they did not have at the time. So she took the time to call and let us know and offered us something else. It was honorable in my eyes that she did that. Lastly, when I arrived, she double-checked to ensure my order was correct before I left the store. I had a cheesesteak, and my wife had the same. They were served hot, cheese melted all the way, and tasted terrific; the only problem was they were light with the meat. This is a very unique menu. They have sampler platters that can feed an army or combo platters that can feed two, and the price is right. You can mix and match them or have the pre-selected item. Now, let me talk about these wings. AMAZING! Fried to perfection, seasoned with a wet or dry rub, plain or on the side. These are cooked to order, so if you get wings to go, they are still hot when you get home. These wings are excellent, and you get them whole or halved. The wings are a must-try; they are some of the best in the area! I recommend you call ahead, but if you don't, there is a seating area where you can wait. I will be back! Happy Yelping!
