I think San Pedro has the best auto shops. When other auto shops who do the same work suggest that you come here, you know it's good. My driver side car window hadn't been used in almost five years. Originally I was going to fix it in Tx, then waited until I got to Ca but then I had a horrible experience with the Carson Nissan dealership. Not going to go there again but anyway, I was finally encouraged to see the guys at Eddie's. I wish I had gone years ago. Reasonable and fast, my car window works like perfect. If you have any kind of electrical problem I'd definitely talk to them first. read more

Guys, Chuck (Charlie Brown) aka my 15 year old Ford Ranger Truck had a stroke on his left side. So for 3 years I've been looking for a car electrician. I found this place through a referral from a kiddo that work at Valvoline in Torrance, but skates at the skate park near Eddie's Auto Electric. I pass by both places almost every day and after this referral I headed over. Eddie took a look and quoted me a price so reasonable I nearly passed out. Then as if the good news was not enough, I asked him If it would take a day and he smiled and said, nope I can finish it for you in 2 hours max. MY JAW DROPPED. I told him when I'd drop off my car. Guys, in 2 hours he fixed Chuck's issues. I could see all the gages in the dashboard, the clicker was now unlocking and locking the left side door, the dome light was now turning on when I opened the door. He was healthy again. Omg, I was soooo happy. Thank you so much Eddie. Chuck and I are very appreciative for making him light up literally and making me feel safe when the sun goes down anywhere I go, especially when it snows in Mammoth. Oh my God is good. I went to Eddie's for a brake light issue on a Korean car. The brothers (I feel dumb I just left there and forgot their names already) ha ha. Anywho they helped me and it was dirt on a connection and it took 15 minutes and it was such a reasonable price. I went to other shops and right away they would'nt look and it and told me we probably can't find parts for it so I was really losing hope today. But these brothers looked and it and didn't even try to screw me over cause I'm a woman. Thanks guys you gave me hope that there is still honest and kind people left here. Much appreciated. Love, love, LOVE this guy!! I took my piece of junk to him, in hopes of fixing it up for myself....he told me I live near the cliffs, drop it off there! Boy was he right, after keeping the car overnight, just in case there was an ounce of hope, it was obvious this is just a money-sinker! He fixed the overheating problem with new hoses, did a pressure test, did just about everything he could, before coming to the conclusion that this metal monstrosity would just cause me more grief than needed. I absolutely love honest mechanics, they are so hard to come by these days, and at Eddie's Auto Electric, you get honesty, great prices and extremely competent staff. He did say he could fix the car for me, but for what it would cost me combined with how much money I have already put into it, from other auto shops, he said just drive it til it quits, and junk it...so that is what I am doing. He charged me hardly anything to do this overnight job that we felt we should actually pay him more...now when does that ever happen in San Pedro??? We have taken other cars to him in the past, and never once did he do us wrong. Everyone that works there is FABULOUS! Highly, highly, recommend this place. You will definitely not regret it. I have been going here for 15 years for changing my headlights. They are really fast and really cheap. Never try to rip me off. Even when I owned a beetle the dealership wanted to charge $60. They charged me $5.00 but later said it was a lot more work. I liked that they stood by their quoted price. Great place. read more

HONEST people. Came back again for what I thought might be a major problem. Fortunately the matter was quickly resolved by tightening a few screws. They could have charged me for time and labor - even though it wasn't much - but the point is - they didn't charge me and for that they get 5 stars for being HONEST. My brake lights were not working. The mechanic told us that the connectors were simply "dirty" and needed to be cleaned. Had the man told us we had a short circuit, I wouldn't have known any better. Walked out only costing me $35 to clean the connectors and replace a few bulbs. This place is a-ok in my book. I drop my car off ,i tell him i am no mechanic but ,i think i have a problem with my transmission.He tells me ,"i will take a look at it ".After 2 days of waiting i go back and he says i need a cadillac coverter, and now my starter "i had no problems with my starter before i droped it off ". So i go and spend $370 on a new coverter ,then bring it back to fix the starter another $170.A day later my car starts having the same problem it had before,i take it back to him ,he keeps the cars 2 days before i have to give him a call,then he tells me he thinks its the transmission, and they dont do that there.I cant say this place is honest,and i know the service is poor at best. I own a 1972 Cutlass Supreme and I took it to Eddies Auto Electric to get some work done on my brake lights and reverse lights. Within 5 minutes they started working on my ride. They fixed the problem in about 2 hours. I paid $85 bucks for parts and labor. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone. Worst customer service ever. If there are any good reviews for them, the people that work there put them here.. I called to see if i can being my truck in for service? They told me to call back in thirty minutes, so i called back and the owner asked me why i want to bring it in.i explained my truck just cranks and in the middle of my sentence he cut me off and told me to take it to mechanic cuz that's not electrical. Didn't want to look at it or let me finish telling him that my guages stopped working. Worst service.i hope people read this and don't go there. read more

I went to Eddie's on 2 different occassions for 2 different cars. Each time Eddie's was the second opinion. On both occassions, this business saved me $200. On one occasion, my one of my headlights went out and was told I would need an entire new lens which would cost in excess of $200. This business found a way to just replace a clamp and I walked out of there spending only $30. Another ocassion I needed my water pump replaced. Again, their repair cost me $200 less than where my car was towed and was charging. By far, the most honest mechanics I have come across, in addition, the workers are all down to earth. Being new to town, this is very important. I would receommend them highly. read more

My 2001 Ford Mustang front left turn signal was not working. Suspecting that it had to be replaced, I searched for headlight replacement shops and found this one in San Pedro. I arrived at about 8 AM Tuesday morning and asked how much it would cost to replace a signal light for a mustang. I was told it would cost $5. It was replaced in about two minutes. Although it was something I probably could have done on my own after watching a couple how to videos online, it saved me some time, a trip to the auto supply store, and was much more convenient. read more
