I am not a breakfast person generally, but this morning about 10:45 I really wanted a breakfast burrito. I have stopped by Eddie's before as it is right down the street. I was a little taken aback at the $7.99 price; that is until I got my order. My Denver Breakfast Burrito was worth every penny. This is the first breakfast burrito I've had that had actual bite-sized pieces of fresh ingredients. I can truly say I have never had a tastier burrito than the one served at Eddie's. read more

Decent grocery store for a small town. My biggest complaint is that the pricing is steep, but they are well stocked and had almost everything you might need. The smoked bacon had an amazing flavor, my only critique was that I found it not quite meaty enough. Apparently they smoke their meats in house, so this is a plus. The one evening I tried their ready made ribs, which were good. Could be a little more moist, definitely needed a health dose of bbq sauce. My understanding the BBQ'd meats are available some week nights when they have enough staff on board. read more

2.5 stars. Not a good option if food allergy issues. I didn't see any gluten free baked good/bread options. I only saw one bbq sauce option (AJ's) and it has citric acid and natural flavors(msg). No vegan ice cream option ie. SO cashew ice cream bars or jolly llama. I was hoping by now Eddy's would have offered a gluten free banana bread or some gf muffin option. We did purchase chicken and hamburger patties and great butcher shop option. Parking is a bit difficult. read more

This has gotta be one of the coolest small-town grocery stores in America (definitely the coolest I've found in AZ)! Nestled in the hills of Pinetop-Lakeside, this place has everything you would need for a nice trip and then some. I found store-made/canned salsa and jam that looked pretty good, and the scent of apple-smoked meat coming from the burger/sandwich joint attached to the deli in the back was SOOOO mouthwatering. I mean, I had just downed a ginormous french toast breakfast at nearby Darbi's and yet I almost considered buying a sandwich just so I could experience the taste along with the scent. In addition to the aforementioned items they also have an excellent array of craft beer and produce, especially for a place as remote as Pinetop-Lakeside. Finally, the reason this place is a true winner (and deserving of 5 stars) is the sense of humor. You'd think since this place was owned by Basha's that everything would be corporatized and boring. Uh, no way. I walk past an end cap and there's a creative poster advertising both red and white pasta sauce! The quirkiness and excellent quality food will have me returning upon my next visit to the area. As you're driving down the 260 on your way to Sunrise, don't skip a stop here! read more

This is a great little grocery store in Pinetop. We usually find what we need and they have a smoker outside as well where they smoke meats daily. I haven't tried the cafe portion, but they do have a nice soup bar, a decent bakery section, and good beer selection as well. Definitely a go to, if you're looking to grab something quick. read more

It is always a treat to shop at Eddies where the people are friendly and they have a great deli selection as well as fair prices for the quality. The best is the smoked bacon and turkey and of course the jerky. It is a smaller market so you can get in and out quicker. read more

Beware of the little cafe in the store. The menu they offer for you to order from is not an accurate description of what you'll receive. We ordered the ham and cheese sandwich which says it will come with tomato and Muenster cheese. When the sandwich came out it didn't have either. It had cheddar cheese that wasn't even melted. In the burger section of the menu it says you can get fries, beans, coleslaw. Nowhere does it say fries or beans or coleslaw. Which is how it's listed on other sections of the menu. In my opinion these things need to be updated right away so that customers can make true proper decision prior to ordering. This made for a very frustrating lunch experience and we will never return. read more

We like this small grocery store. It has been around for a long time. The employees have always been friendly and helpful. They have the best apple wood smoked pork chops anywhere. It's much smaller that Safeway and it certainly is not an AJ's. read more

Wife walked in to order a burger and fries (approx. 3:35), young girl cutting meat and cheese for a custom. Wife waited awhile to be acknowledged (that didn't happen) finally asked if see was in the right place to order the burger and was told it would be awhile before she could help as she was the ONLY ONE working there. Finally got her to take the order and was told to pick it up at 4:30 (OMG). Went back to pickup at 4:30 and she was still the only one working that area. Food was ok, but seriously, the owners need to get more help back there.. read more

On our way into Pinetop, we saw the sign for Eddie's Country Store, and knew we had to stop... who doesn't want to stop at a country store? We made our way in the next day and were pleasantly surprised. Eddie's has everything a country store should have: friendly service, homemade treats, old fashioned candy, apple pies, kettle corn, all kinds of regular grocery items, and a deli that is known for their apple smoked meats. Our purchases included a few six packs of beer, a couple of deli sandwiches, veggies, hummus, a diet coke, some chips, eggs, bagels, muffins, cream cheese, milk, etc... We were offered fresh samples of Eddie's homemade banana bread as we checked out and thanked for supporting their local business... what a nice touch! After the fact, we learned that Eddie is not that local... he's Eddie Basha! But we still love Eddie's Country Store nonetheless! read more

We bought steak to grill out later today and it was pricey but of seemingly good quality. we will buy the rest of our cookout items at Safeway to save money but appreciate the hometown feel of this market. read more

This is just another low end Bashas. Eddie Basha Jr. is deceased and they put this store in Pinetop. They are too cheap to build a new store. They had to pick one already built. Highest prices in town, and of course dirty. Welcome to the chain of Bashas stores. read more

So charming and refreshing fir a grocery store! A lot of Wonderful food staples (ketchup, eggs, meat, noodles, etc) . I also appreciated all the local flavors and we picked up a pie for 1/2 price! At least three people asked us if we needed help and that was extremely unique! I just loved the peanut brittle at the checkout. I can't wait to go back. read more

If you are visiting and staying in Pinetop Lakeside make this your store. We come here to stock up anytime we take an extended vacation outside of the valley. Pinetop is about a 3.5 hour drive from Phx and you can always find a cute home to stay in! Eddies is a Bashas grocery store. It's small but has anything you can think of needing during your stay. The wine liquor and beer selection is amazing. They have fresh veggies and a butcher counter for you to pick out your steaks for grilling at home. You can grab all of your fireside needs from marshmallows to wood to fire starter liquid. They have sweet treats too with little pies or slices of cake if you are in the mood. The best part are the friendly employees who always welcome us to town. read more

Cute Country store with most of the things you would need. Prices are a bit higher than a regular grocery store. The real deal is in the back at the meat counter. They fresh smoke ribs and tri-tip outside and sell the cooked meat at the counter. It is AMAZING! Make a Tri-Tip sandwich on the go or enjoy a rack of ribs for a quick dinner. We have never been disappointed i'l noted. They even fire roast green chilis seasonally. read more

Ahhhhhhh, I read the reviews for Edie's and I just can't hold my tongue anymore. I don't mind the high prices, would expect at a smaller market. Good selection and convenient to the east siders in Pinetop. Excellent selection in meat department. Plus yummy sandwiches and prepared food. I even buy the unique jams, salsas and pickled item for gifts. What I really don't get is how UNFRIENDLY the cashiers can be. Say good morning or hello, and they stare right through you. Even when there's no line and they are not busy. This has happened so many times now it's a running joke with my neighbors and visitors. Just plain rude. Don't need to chat with me but would a smile really be that difficult? I'm not a summer visitor, I own property, so why the unwelcoming attitude? The staff in the back (deli and meat counter) are so friendly and helpful. If not for your customers, you'd have no job. I sure hope the manager or owner reads this. read more

Way back in 2005 Eddies butchers and smokers pulled my school Luau out of the smoker...well, actually they donated the prep for a donated pig.I wanted the school to acknowledge their kindness and delicious skill but no one from the admin did. Now is my chance to say Thank You. I thought the Apple smoked bacon and chops were great but that smoky pork was Superb. Not just for your unpretentious outside appearance snuggled alongside the road to Greer... not just for the genuinely happy way your employees great everyone who comes in... not just for the yummy deli selection and awesome cheese (not to mention fresh bread!) along your displays... not just for the old-fashioned stick candy you sell for 10 cents each at the front counter... not just for the amazing variety of microbrews you keep nice and fresh in your chilly bin... not just for your surprisingly diverse wine selection... not just for your apple-smoked goodies that make your mouth water the minute you drive into the partaking lot... and no, not just for my tendency to make the world's largest run-on sentence singing your praise... not to mention liberal overuse of ellipses... it's your loo that is lovely, good friends. Yes, the loo!! Just follow the yellow brick road and entertain yourself with quotes from the movie as you.... well... um, prolly best to keep that business behind the green curtain (or door as the case may be). Even the porcelain throne gets into the act, sporting the name of "Toto" along its base. Come to think of it, poor Toto was always kinda getting sh*t on in the movie.
