I always find it really hard to explain exactly how I want my hair to look because even when I find examples to show the hairstylist, I either don't want it exactly like the photo, or (more often than not) the person in the photo has hair/headshape different from mine so I'm never going to look just like that. I've come to realize that every hairstylist is going to have their own "style" if you will, and the haircuts they do will reflect that style. I really appreciate Nami's style and the way my haircuts turn out even for little things that are hard to explain such as the back. If I had to describe it in regards to my own requests (I do a side part), I would say she's great at flowy, modern cuts that look clean but still have a natural feel to them. She's also great at listening to requests. I often like mixing up my haircut a tiny bit and she'll offer suggestions and we'll have a discussion on various possibilities. Lastly, besides doing great haircuts she's also just fun to talk to, I always enjoy talking to her so that's a bonus. Reservations are done via their website where you'll find available times and pricing. Parking is easy, there's a huge parking lot in back that's shared with a row of retail buildings, just look for the two story building with the Sansai Japanese Grill.

Clean establishment, she cleaned all her tools before starting . Showed her a photo of what we wanted , which was the flow cut and she nailed it ! She gave us pointers on what products to use etc., we will definitely be going back . Loved the building , was able to grab some coffee while we were waiting and check out the Lego collectors store. It's was very tranquil . There is plenty of parking outside , first 90 minutes are free.

After having him as my stylist/barber, there's no one else that I want touching my hair. His customer service is second to none. He's quite literally one on the nicest people that I have ever met & I enjoy catching-up with him every time I come in. His skills are second to none - I actually had the pleasure of meeting him while he was a student many moons ago. To see his evolution as a professional is really quite cool. He has come a long way & a beast when it comes to turning out a style that you like. The great thing is that he is big on collaboration. At the end of the day, he is not satisfied unless you are. Full disclosure, Gaspar has been cutting my hair for the better part of the last year. When I heard he was starting his own shop, I had to come check it out! The shop is located within Salon Republic at the Paseo Colorado. You can park in the structure and get your parking validated for up to 90 minutes for free. Gaspar has put in a lot of work into giving the shop a mafia/mob style aesthetic. The brick wall, bullet holes, pictures of the mob and vintage style barber chair is such an awesome touch! He's really doing his best to bring back the feel of an old-school barbershop. As far as the haircut goes, don't go in expecting a quick cut. You can really see Gaspar's attention to detail when I ask for a comb-over fade. He's personable and easy to chat with, so I don't feel like I'm just there for a haircut. One of my favorite things about getting a cut here is the hair-wash. Not only is it super relaxing, but it means I don't have to go and cleanup the little hairs. Gaspar also does beard and mustache trims, as well as a straight razor shave. 10/10 would recommend Gaspar to anyone looking for an affordable, quality cut.
