The owner, Kevin, was extremely prompt and kind both during my initial reaching out and during my appointment. Albeit my tattoo was on the simple, small side, the fact that I was able to get it done in less than an hour with amazing results from Bobby was awesome!! Such a cool vibe inside the store and both Kevin and Bobby just want the customer to be absolutely stoked with their tattoo and it shows. I called early & spoke to one artist Carly and told me to send her pictures of placement and what I wanted, she quoted me and told me what time to come in..I come in to the shop and she's nowhere to be found but getting tattooed at another shop elsewhere..and I walk out unhappy getting work by Katie who told me "she's not here but I'll do it if you don't mind" I had to find out the hard way that she is inexperienced and rushed my tattoo because she had somewhere to be. She took the idea that I had and convinced me to dumb it down and now I realize she did this because she didn't have the skill to do what I wanted. This is what I wanted VS. what I got. She said she would stipple the edges so that it faded out at the bottom. Instead while tattooing me she tells her co worker "that's gonna look weird" and proceeds to shade it all the way down my leg with such a lack of definition that I am left with a big black blob of a piece that I am immediately getting reworked elsewhere. After paying and going outside to get some air, I came back in to attempt to talk to the manager and was met with sarcasm by other artists in the shop and am told am I "questioning her professionalism?" No I'm questioning why I am walking away unhappy and her only concern was picking up someone from the airport. Maybe don't agree to take such a big piece if you don't have the time, enthusiasm, or ability to do it. Now I am left with a bigger problem than I walked in with.
