After reading through a bunch of reviews for other places I decided on getting my ears pierced here. The guy who helped me out was thorough and my ears were pierced in a jiffy! They make sure to mark where they will pierce your lobes beforehand and also they use a disposable piercing gun as well so that will minimize the chance of infection. The disposable piercing guns also come in sterile packaging and are FDA approved so you can get your lobe piercing here with no worries. They also cleaned my ears before and after piercing with a bit of alcohol or hydrogen peroxide so cleanliness is taken seriously here. I opted to buy the after piercing saline spray and it's easier than having to soak cotton pads and place them on my ears. In a week's time, I'll be going back for them to see how my piercings are healing! read more

Honestly one of the best and funniest experiences I have ever had with a piercing shop. So I went to the mall with no plans on changing my nose piercing but I was thinking on getting a hoop for a while for a change. Automatically Brian was super interactive and nice. Giving me options on which one I should get and even giving his nice and honest opinion on which would look nicer on me. The environment was great. So as I had finally decided on one and faced my fear of changing my stud I sat on the piercing chair to get it changed. Although it took about an hour for them to get the hoop in I cannot complain one bit. Through the process they informed me that I had gotten my piercing incorrectly pierced making it difficult to insert the piercing. We laughed and joked for an hour attempting to put in the piercing. I had two guys looking in my nose with a flashlight. Another guy Brandon came in and also was helping and we were cracking jokes the whole entire time. They offered me water, a fan, and just made it good vibes and a very comfortable place to be in. I recommend this place 100%. I had been thinking of having my ear pierced for quite some time but had never found an earring that I wanted to wear. I found a jeweler on Etsy who makes some very nice 14K gold guitar earrings and being a guitar player I had to have them. So now that I found the earring that I wanted I need to find a place to get my ear pierced. I did a Google search of places in my area and after reading horror stories about some piercing places I found "Just Pierce It" on Yelp. They received some very good reviews and I decided to check them out. I went to the mall where they are located and observed them for a while. I watched as they pierced another customer and I like that they were very careful to maintain a sterile procedure while piercing. I spoke to the manager Pini who showed me that he was licensed by NYS and he explained the procedure to me. I sat down and in less than 5 minutes I had a silver stud in my ear. To my surprise it was a painless procedure. Pini explained the after care to me and away I went. I'm now in the middle of the 6 week waiting period before I can put in the guitar earring. I've had a lobe piercing that closed up after a few weeks of not having an earring in and I've been looking for a solid place to have it re-pierced. Since it's a simple piercing, I didn't want to shell out big bucks to go to a specialized piercing parlor but I also didn't want an infection from somewhere inexperienced or uncertified. Thanks to Yelp I found the perfect middle ground at Just Pierce It. Located right at the Queens Boulevard entrance of Queens Center Mall, Just Pierce It is a kiosk that's bright, clean and easy to find. They also do some creative rearrangement of the display cases to have a small, semi-private piercing area. They take appointments on Yelp and when I did, I got a very pleasant worker who called me to confirm the time. It definitely didn't seem necessary to make an appointment but it does get busy. My piercing was done by a female piercer who took a great deal of time to examine my ear and explain the process. She was gentle, patient and knowledgable and even noticed that my original piercing had split some cartilage because it was far up my lobe, which is why the re-piercing was tougher than usual. After the piercing, she did a great job talking about aftercare and mentioned a follow up in 2 weeks if needed. Prices are very reasonable and I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. Another thing I really liked about Just Pierce It is how open they are to telling customers if a particular piercing they're asking for would require them to visit one of their other locations instead of the kiosk because of the extra set up and equipment needed for safety. I had been wanting to get my tragus pierced for quite sometime, so today I decided to be like Nike and Just Do It!!!!!! I found Just Pierce It using Yelp of course. I called and spoke with Pini to ask a few question before coming in. Pini was very polite and answered all my questions. Located in Queens Center Mall by right the main entranced. When I called I had no idea Just Piercing was a booth type store. I was reluctant at first but once Pini seen me approach he immediately asked if I was the lady that called, once I confirmed that I was. He introduced himself and explained to me exactly how the piercing would be done, the type of earring that should be used for the piercing, he showed what my opinion were as far as earrings go, he explained the aftercare, and most importantly he showed me his license from the NYS Department of Health certifying him to do piercing. Too say the least he made me feel very comfortable. Once I picked the earring I wanted, he showed me it's closed packaging letting me know it was sterile and he showed me the stamp showing that the earrings being used were FDA approved for this type of piercing. He put on gloves, throughly cleaned the piercing area, all the while explaining what he was doing as he was going. Once he was ready, he asked me to take a deep breathe and slowly exhale, by the time I was half way exhaling the piercing was done. Pini once again went over the aftercare instructions and recommended the best products for me use for proper cleaning. I brought one of the products from him. Pini told me to come back in 4 weeks so he could check on the healing processes he also told me if I had any difficulties to call him and or come back immediately. Came here on a whim with my sister when we decided last minute to both get our cartilage pierced. I already had two lobe piercings and decided to also get a third. (Not a very good idea on my part because I usually sleep on my side - ugh.) We went in the afternoon but since it was pretty busy, we didn't get help right away, which is absolutely fine because my sister and I got the chance to take a look at the different earring options. Although it is located in the middle of the busy mall, it is very clean. Pini was very professional and made sure that I was comfortable before the piercings. It was pretty painless to me, he made sure the he did the cartilage first because he said it's the most painful and that way I wouldn't expect the pain so much. He was very thorough about the aftercare and made sure we both understood how to take care of the piercings. I do have to note that I ended up having to come back to get my left lobe piercing removed and replaced because it had been swallowed up due to the piercing being on too tight. It was inconvenient and I had to pay for the new earring but they did apologize and give me a discount. I'd say to make sure that the earrings aren't too tight and that there's enough space, in case it swells up, before you leave. read more

I came here to have my ears re-pierced and choose a pair of crystal/titanium earring for $40. The prices range from $20-60. I decided to go with a higher quality material, because I didn't want to risk my ears becoming infected again. They have a large selection of starter earrings to choose from in a range of sizes, even baby piercings. My previous piercing experiences have been with a piercing gun in Chinatown. The higher price here is definitely worth it. The piercer took her time to ensure that the piercings were even. All the tools used was prepackaged, new, and sterile. There was no pain at all when she was performing the piercing and my earlobes did not feel swollen afterwards, unlike with my experience with the piercing gun. She told me to come back in two weeks for a follow up to ensure that my piercings were healing correctly. The only negative thing was that she didn't explain about how to take care of my piercing. I did a cartilage piercing and they are professional they know what to do and they tell you how to take care of your piercing .I love this piercing i follow the instructions and now its being 3 months and still have it and never got infected or got a koleid. I do recommend this place because i went to another piercing store and was a horrible experience and my ear piercing was growing a koleid and was getting infected plus they didnt know how to take care of a piercing they told to put alcohol! And you shouldn't suppose to put alcohol in your ear . So if you want to put a piercing or cartilage piercing i recommend this place. read more

I went to Just Pierce It to have my tragus piercing stretched up 1 size. Having done this before with other piercings, I know how this process works. Two men run this shop. the piercer, was polite and talkative. The other guy, handling the cashier, was just plain rude - he didn't speak when I spoke to him, just stared at me while I sat in the piercing chair. If you're too rude to know not to stare, at least try to fake a smile and wipe that "hurry-up. why are you here anyway?" look off your face when a customer can see it. Prior to being seated, I showed the piercer which earring I wanted and asked if it would fit in my ear. He said it would. It wasn't until he tried to put the earring in that he realized it wouldn't fit. He informed me that since they had already "placed" the to-large earring, they couldn't take it back, but he would put in one that was the proper size. I said fine - I needed a new earring to maintain the stretched cartilage. He put the earring in, packed up the other one, then proceeded to charge me for both. Since it was his fault I bought the wrong earring in the first place, I shouldn't have had paid for both earrings (particularly when I directly told him I only wanted to buy 1 before this whole mess started); but, the earring was cute, I was tired, and gave me an employee discount. I peaced out - already having decided not to go back. It wasn't until later that day when my tragus was pulsing in pain, swollen, and filled with puss that I got angry. I have numerous piercings, and have gotten most of them stretched. The skin shouldn't tear when you got up 1 size; which means you shouldn't have an open wound, and sure as hell not an infection, after a minor stretching. I couldn't remove the earring, or the hole would close. So, I wrapped my tragus in gauze soaked in hydrogen peroxide every night for about a week and a half. Luckily, my piercing still looks good (no scaring and the hole didn't close). Between the rude cashier, incorrect earring sizing, double charge, and piercing infection, I'll stay away from this place. I'll go back to the original piercer in Manhattan from now on. So much for local shops. read more

A couple of months ago i was looking for a different material not surgical steel seeing as i have a bad reaction to it. I was looking for "stainless steel" as my friend had recommended i know now that stainless steel is not recommended for piercings but it was something my friend had recommended and i was curious. So i asked the fat blonde that worked at the stand. I'm addressing her this way because she is disrespectful and i want people to know who i am talking about, however i didn't get her name. I said i was looking for stainless steel and she opened her eyes really big and said " um we don't have stainless steel, people don't use stainless steel it's not for piercings " but with an attitude and loud tone. I appreciated the answer seeing as I'm new to piercings i got my first one this year and the surgical steel was not working for me. I Saw her attitude and proceeded to say oh ok well thank you i'm not interested in buying anything I'm going to look elsewhere not because they didn't have stainless steel but because she made it her ultimate goal to make me(the customer) look stupid rather than offer something else other than surgical steel or make a recommendation such as sterling silver as i have found out from a kind gentleman at a piercing stand on the other side of the mall works for people who reject their piercings due to surgical steel. It's rare but it happens sometimes. The reason why I'm writing this is not because she gave me attitude and sought to make me look stupid for asking an innocent question. I'm writing this because of what happened when i walked away. As i walked away from the stand she yelled out "STAINLESS STEEL IS NOT FOR PIERCINGS , YOU STUPID IGNORANT" honestly i should have probably turned around and asked for her manager but I'm not the kind of person that'll stand there and fight someone with such bad manners and most of all someone who hates their job that much. I will surely return within the next week to find out her name because it's been bothering me to look back at this experience every time i walk in through the front of the mall and not know what her name was. read more

Great service and patience from Tony who pierced my ears. He took the time to explain the process and how to take care of the piercing afterwards and when I will be prepared to replace the earrings. The cost was $30 for both my ears which is very reasonable compared to the other piercer's that cost around the same price and you're not too sure of the sanitation with the others. You could come back for them to check on your piercing too or ask anymore questions. You could also ask them to place a new earring if you bought it from them and there's a 10% discount on whatever earring you buy if you got pierced there.(Not so sure about other piercings but I'm sure it's a similar scenario). I got there maybe 5 mins before closing and was so shocked when the girl working there didn't rush me and was very nice and helpful. I'm very upset with this place. I went there about a month ago with my friend. We spent between us about 350 dollars on different earings and piercings we had done. That's not including the 60 dollar tip we gave the girl. Anyway I went again with my daughter bc she wanted to get a new piercing and along with that I bought a pair of horse shoe earings for myself which my friend bought the previous time and I liked. This time it was a guy there and he put them in my ear with the tool. That day cost another 50 bucks between my daughter and I. 2 days later one ball falls out from the horse shoe earring that was placed on my ear from one of their people with their tools and when I went back for a replacement I was charged for another 10 dollars!!!! That's only for the ball of the earring that wasn't my fault if it wasn't tighten from the start!!! My mistake from the start bc while they are they are selling those your earrings for 20 dollars a piece at Amazon for the same earings they want 4.99 a pair!!!!
