Have been using them for years, on average 4-6 times a month . Food is always good. Just like any restaurant, something may be miscued, however, they have always & without fail, made it right. Jack is always pleasant, polite & a pleasure to deal with. The restaurant is clean, they still follow Covid protocols, you can see them preparing your food & the prices are reasonable . I have been ordering here on and off. I have had a problem with the service and staff. A few weeks ago, I ordered a shrimp fried rice, but I did not get what I ordered. I tried calling back but by this time the store was closed, and I only got the answering machine, and I left a message, but I never went back or got a call back regarding this wrong order. On Friday, April 18, 2025. I called and ordered 4 wings and fried rice with mumbo sauce on the side. The short Asian man I think he is the manager or owner waited on me. I told him what I ordered. He said 4 wings etc... I said yes, but with fried rice. He said I did not order fried rice. I said, is it too late? Can I still get fried rice. He said you have to tell us you want fried rice when you place your order. I said maybe I forgot. Using the same tone he did. To make a long story short he started cussing at me and asked me did I still want it. I said yes. But before I could pick up the bag, he snatched the bag from the counter all the while cussing at me. I think it was because I was an older woman. I had read another review about this store where he called the customer a "black bitch." I was not sure if it was the same man but from my encounter with this man, he fit the description, II think they were one and the same. They referred to it as Eddie's Restaurant, but it is just a carryout. I was so angry and shaken up but at that time I remembered I specifically said fried rice when I called it in. It is what I usually order all the time. I noted a nasty attitude in him before but not to this extent. I will never order from here again! I have never had an encounter like this before from a business. I would not recommend this business if they paid me. No one should order from this store, specifically if you are Black and a woman! Asians who open these businesses in Black neighborhoods treat the Black customers unfairly and they should be held accountable and ran out of business and our neighborhoods. After all we are the ones patronizing these establishments. But they will get no more of my money and any self-respecting Black person should not be ordering from here either! My Mama ordered the Lunch special of the Shrimp Egg Foo Young!! with white rice definitely By far the best and consistent in flavor I've had in this area. The customer service for me is always cool !! especially the ladies that used to be at front we'd have a whole conversation when I'd come from work and place my order!..I've NEVER had a bad batch of anything here and everything is flavorful . 2 canned Pepsi's were included in the purchase lol , the ambience is of any regular Chinese spot unless you go to Virginia!! Food tastes decent but bad customer service. I ordered a beef and broccoli lunch special. It had twenty pieces of broccoli and two pieces of meat. I called and the lady that answered the phone stated "it's the lunch special" as if that explains why there is virtually NO BEEF in an order of beef and broccoli. She did not offer to make me whole in any way. A Lunch special simply means slightly smaller portion of food with a drink. If you cannot offer a comparable amount of meat to vegetable then don't offer lunch specials ‍. I basically paid nine dollars for a can of soda with plain rice and broccoli. All of which can be achieved from the grocery store for three dollars. So annoyed. read more

I like to think of this place like an "old school" Chinese Restaurant. The front end is clean, the service is fast and my Mother who is very particular about her food loves this place. We like to have lunch there once or twice a month. The food quality is the same no matter which day a week you visit. When it is busy, you need to have your act together when you order because the phone is "blowing up" which is a good indicator that the food is gaining popularity. This does not seem to be one of those "chains" owned by the same family in 6 states with "hard rice Wednesdays." They promise to have your food ready in about 15 minutes, but you usually get it in less than 10. read more

The biggest pet peeve I have with businesses is when they charge different prices for the same exact thing. They attempted to charge the Shrimp and Broccoli price which includes white rice THEN tack on $4.00 for the lo mein noodles. Which was not what occurred on our 1st visit. Initially, the lo mein noodles were substituted for the rice. When asked about the reason for the difference in price, we were given a poor attitude and rudely asked " do you want it or not?" ...Not! And never again. We can live without it just fine. Next time we'll try the new Sakura Japanese spot in the same shopping center, next to the liquor store. read more

Everything I ordered was absolutely disgusting. Literally. After tasting everything, I didn't even eat the food. I ordered steamed shrimp, chicken lomein, chicken and broccoli and steamed chicken dumplings. Maybe because I'm from NY I have an idea of what decent corner Chinese food should taste like. However, even from the standard of never experiencing decent corner Chinese, I don't see how anyone finds this food even sort of yummy. It missed the mark in every way. Also, I had an experience similar to another review where they failed to include all of my order. I realized it driving home and when I called back, they acted as if I didn't know what I was talking about. They had an attitude about it. We really tired to like this place. But, the food and customer service is just awful most, if not all of the time. To start, the man taking orders over the phone is extremely rude; hurriedly takes orders and thus nearly always gets the orders wrong. Once confronted, he gets overly defensive and outright angry...not worth the hassle. The taste of the food is rather bland and the meat has a strange texture/consistency. Doesn't taste or seem like real meat. Buyers beware. Lastly, the ambience and space inside looks very unkempt and doesn't appear clean or hygienic. There are definitely better options elsewhere. It had been a long time since we'd had any Chinese Food and I convinced my husband that we should try out Eddy's for the first time since we'd moved to the area around 6 months ago. I ordered sweet and sour shrimp which was served on a bed of lettuce with the rice and sauce in a separate container. I removed the shrimp to find not only wilted lettuce (which I would expect due to the heat of the hot food) but also lettuce that had clearly gone bad that was served to us anyway. To top it off, the sweet and sour shrimp was more dough than anything and the shrimp were the next size up from salad shrimp. I would have appreciated larger shrimp and less dough even if I had to pay a little more and got less shrimp. Quality over quantity...I'm very disappointed. Serving bad food with no regard is how people wind up sick. I gave two stars instead of one because they were very friendly but unfortunately, I won't be back to this place. read more

We ordered wings and fried rice, the owner slams my food on the counter and says ready harshly. Then I look in the bag and ask for some hot sauce, he was also on the phone taking orders. I look for chopsticks and only saw straws. Then I try to make a hand gesture indicating chopsticks, he slams the box of straws hidden behind the plexiglass and rudely says here! I said hold one your tone is inappropriate. First I should not be entering your space behind the plexiglass, secondly don't slam a box down in my face! Then when we proceed to walk out he is still yapping his mouth and told me, it takes two and I need to watch mines. This dude is nuts, angry, bitter and doesn't deserve a restaurant. My mother and I have been coming here for over ten years and not once have they let us down! It tastes amazing! I will say - for those who claim the taste is lacking - that you have to be specific as to what you want! They air on the side of caution which seasoning because people are especially picky now a days. For instance I always get the chicken lo-mein and I ask for extra brown sauce. It always ALWAYS comes out hot fresh and well seasoned!
