Found this place on accident when I attempted to buy wings next door. I've been here twice now. The girl behind the counter was friendly. I was surprised to see they had wings there as well so I got those along with sesame chicken and steamed dumplings the first time. Everything was tasty. The wings were fried in breading and the full wing vs buffalo style. My second visit was for soup. I got the wonton soup and chicken and crispy rice soup to go. I don't recommend the crispy rice soup - at least not to go - as it wasn't crispy and the broth was gelatinous. I ended up straining the broth out and using the broth from wonton soup for the chicken and veggies and rice which was better. The wonton soup and broth were very good. This place is a convenient stop for my ride home from work - and they are fast to prepare food. Ok I waited a long time to make a post on this restaurant so here is a somewhat deep dive. First the restaurant is always clean inside and out. The staff is either rude or indifferent never seeming to be happy or welcoming. I have tried a number of things off their menu. The orange chicken is always soggy and overly saturated in bottled tasting sauce. The beef and broccoli is ok. The broccoli is always fresh and crisp but I don't think they wash it well as it has had the small little worm like bugs a few times also to much loose gravy. The egg rolls are the standard ones you could get at any decent carryout except for the steak and cheese egg roll which is a bit salty but still pretty good. The best thing I have had on the menu is the Crispy Beef which is tossed in a delightful light sauce but the beef is usually cut so thin and fried that you can't really taste the meat. I've ask the workers what culture of cuisines they base their recipes off of and they told me they don't know. They also frequently OVER CHARGE you so check the menu price. Today I had ordered black bean sauce and I was served general tso sauce. After bringing it back they told me that this was in fact Black bean sauce I will post a picture of what i wanted and what i got. We started checking and find a bunch of worms in our food it was the most disgusting thing ever. There's not many places to order take out in upper Marlboro and not a lot of variety. I've been going here for 10 years and never once had anything but friendly service. It's a very quick interaction. My food has always been ready when I get there and always hot and stays hot while I drive 20 minutes home. I don't even need to warm it up when I get home. We can routinely expect the food to be at our door around 30 minutes after we place the order on the phone. They have everything that you would expect at a Chinese restaurant, but it is slightly more expensive than the average Chinese spot. Their Orange Chicken can at times feel syrupy, so that can be a bit off-putting, but its not terrible, just different. 0n 7/25/2023, I drove five miles to pick up an online order, I returned home and discovered had someone order. I tried by telephone to explain my issue by the employee on the phone refuse to believe she gave out wrong order, she was later identified as a older Asian lady. I had explain that I order shrimp and black bean sauce and bring rolls and not egg foo young, thank God I payed via credit card. Now the problem came when she refused to give me spring rolls, telling that they were in bag of the wrong order. It was only resolved as I threatened to call the police. This is one of the worst Asian restaurants I have ever been to. Currently only open for carryout, but the lady up front was very rude, yelled No American Express at me, instead of politely saying so. I pulled out a Visa, and she rolled her eyes, and pointed to a sign that said $10 minimum (which is a violation of VISA terms for vendors, but is still understandable, so I paid cash.) The beef was dry in places (which I don't know how that is possible since it's covered in syrupy water) and undercooked in other places. Lots of fat and gristle. You could seriously save money by just ordering one beef dish for the entire family, and just take turns chewing the same piece of beef--it was that bad. I have been eating here for over 10 yrs. I am not sure whats going on but they have changed. The place smells, the food was so greasy we were afraid to try it. Just not happy with the food. I got a delivery order of chicken wings and two types of egg rolls and fries. To try to be kind the food flat out sucked, everything was so over cooked. I ordered a shrimp egg foo young combination plate and a large half and half. It comes with fried rice and an egg roll but the man on the phone must not have known that because I could tell he was charging me for each item separately. When I asked for the total, he was really dismissive and just repeated the prices for each item and told me to just add it up myself. Are you kidding me? He then told me I could just look at the menu for the prices. I told him I don't have one which is part of the reason why I asked him for the price. He was just so rude I wanted to yell at him and cancel my order but for whatever reason I didn't. When I arrived to pick it up, I found out he had indeed charged me for each item separately so I had to place another order and wait another 10 minutes or so to get my food. Order take out tonight from KN1 and the experience left me speechless. We ordered pepper steak, general tso's chicken, 2 egg rolls, and fried rice. Took 30 minutes more than the quoted 45 minutes--not a problem. I opened up my food and the smell was bad--burnt bad. I thought oh well I can get through it. I start to eat a piece of the chicken (general tso's) and it was not edible---burnt to a crisp. I decided to call back to request another meal and the lady on the phone had the nerve to ask me why did I keep the meal if it was bad? Huh? I was confused. I figured since I was only ordering two Buddhist Delights (just some veggies with fried rice) with carrot and baby corn it shouldn't be too bad. The lady tells me it'll be 50 to 55 minutes for the delivery which I hesitantly agreed to. So when 1 hour and 20 minutes went by needless to say I called about my order. The lady rudely tells me the driver left a few minutes ago he's busy blah blah... then suddenly she's telling me he left a while ago. I asked her if she could call him to see where he is... she tells me she just called him and when I challenged her she hangs up on me. I called back and told her that I would like to speak to a manager. She tells me the manager is not there... I tell her I would like to cancel the order. She says fine. Soon as I hang up the phone the delivery person comes. I tell him that I had canceled the order and thanks but no thanks... he starts yelling something I don't know if it was English or Chinese but I closed the door and locked it. He knocks a couple of times and after I turn off the outdoor light he leaves. Crazy right? I won't tell you what you should do because maybe your experience will hopefully be different (I doubt it but maybe o_o)... But I definitely WILL NOT recommend this place to anyone. They can't even be nice to the people that pay them. And then to rudely hang up on the customer (who's completely justified in wondering where their food is)... and/or arrive at their home and essentially yell at them because THEY were late that's just completely mind boggling. The food here is good. Service is Ok. They don't do the buffet anymore. I had an issue with my food. I called and spoke with someone and they told me to come in. I brought my food back and they were more then happy to make me another dish. This time they even added a little more and showed me my dish before I left. I explained the situation to the woman who answered the phone (she was not the same person who took the order) who immediately asked for my credit card number. I began to give her the information but thought that I should verify that she had the correct order to apply the funds to. I asked her what the total was for the order; she asked for my 3 digit code. We placed an order at 5:07 pm, I had to repeat our address no less than 12 times, spelling the street and giving the house number, it was also a challenge as they kept telling me to hold answering other phones to take orders and then starting again when another person picked up the phone. We finally got our order for wonton soup, egg drop soup, fried rice and a combo order (had to tell them what it was they do not know their order numbers) placed and we were told 40 minutes. 605 pm rolls around and we call VERY rude had to tell them the phone number twice they said driver already left. 635 pm we are now at an hour and a half driver already left AGAIN. I had to tell them my phone number 3 times just to have them say the driver already left and hung up on me. 7:05 pm rolls around and we call back again, got halfway through the phone number and the guy yells at me driver already left and slams phone down. 7:10 pm the driver shows up 3 people in the car guess they uber inbetween deliveries he apologizes said he didn't know it was taking that long and only 2 people are there in the resaurant (their dining room is not open). The food comes in and a major dissappointment the egg drop soup tasted like straight up grease and was the consistancy of warm jello, the wonton soup was all broth and 3 maybe 4 noodles, the rest of the food was luke warm, the Gen Tsao was chicken nuggets with some orange sauce on it, not worth the price or delivery time won't be going back. read more

ZERO STARS!!! I have been going to this place for years and after tonight myself and my family will never return. I don't know what happened with the change of staff and policies but the service was just ridiculous. I called in an order that included chicken wings and was asked during the call what kind of sauce I would like for my chicken, being that many restaurants do this to be efficient so your order is complete ready to go when you get there, I didn't hesitate to say mambo sauce. Anytime I have gone to them in the past it always came in a container and I wasn't asked about sauce choices until I got there. I arrived to pick up my order and the woman in front handed my box of chicken off to the back kitchen staff and said I wanted mambo sauce. I found it strange but figured maybe they just don't keep the condiments behind the first counter anymore. The cook DROWNED the wings in sauce. I couldn't believe it and didn't understand why I wasn't given the sauce on the side. That's their policy if you say you want sauce over the phone now so buyer beware!!! I told her I wanted a refund or new wings without sauce on them. Then she had the nerve to refuse to make more wings or give a refund. I had no plans on leaving until something was done. She turned to the young man she was training and said she should make him pay for it in which he offered to do and she took him up on that offer. Only then did she give me new wings. The mistake was not his fault at all and shame on them for making him pay. Her poor training was to blame. He was pleasant and apologetic and she was a mess.
