Went to Ginger for our annual team dinner and we all had a really good time. The drinks were good and so was the food. At the table, we shared the crispy spring rolls, fried dumplings and chicken wings as apps. We all enjoyed these, especially the chicken wings. Everyone enjoyed their drinks too - the lychee li, the mango margarita, the botanical, the sticky mango, the old fashioned, the baccarat. We all enjoyed them. For the food we had the thai basil beef fried rice, general tso shrimp, panang curry, singapore noodles, house style wok tossed soft noodles, seafood xo, and the wonton soup. Most of us tried each other's food because of the healthy servings and most of us enjoyed what we ate. Our waitress Minzhi was awesome - friendly, knowledgeable and funny. The restaurant manager Q was nice and attentive as well. They even gave one of our party members a mango sticky rice dessert (which was just okay - would've been much better if the mango was riper and sweeter) and sang happy birthday to her. Overall, we had a lovely time. Ginger is pricey so be mindful of that before you go but if you're celebrating a special occasion/milestone, it will be a nice change of pace. read more

We went here as a family of 7 celebrating a birthday. It was gorgeous and we were seated in a more private section to allow for more comfort for our large family event. The staff was very helpful in deciding what to pick and guiding us through the menu. However, as good as the items are, I do not truly believe that it matches the price point. They were good but lack luster in seasoning in some aspects and the presentation was mediocre for what it was. Ginger at MGM National Harbor I recently stopped by Ginger before a concert at the MGM, and the convenience alone made it an easy choice. Since it was my first visit, I was excited to try something new, and overall, it was a solid pre-show dinner experience. My dining companion and I shared the Ginger Salad, Edamame, and Crab Fried Rice topped with a soft-shell crab. The standouts were definitely the salad and the fried rice. The Ginger Salad was fresh, flavorful, and one of my favorite dishes of the evening, though I do think the portion was a bit small for the price. The Crab Fried Rice was delicious, generously portioned, and easily shareable. The soft-shell crab on top was a nice touch. The edamame, however, missed the mark for me. It was a little overcooked and fairly bland. The menu mentions crispy garlic, but I wish it had been incorporated more as a sauce or seasoning to better distribute the flavor throughout the dish. For drinks, I ordered the Castaway, a refreshing gin cocktail that paired perfectly with dinner. My dining companion enjoyed a glass of wine followed by a skinny margarita. Both were well-made and helped kick off our concert night. Service was good overall, and our server was friendly, but we did have to ask for a few items multiple times, including a straw and the edamame. Nothing major, but it did stand out. The restaurant itself is spacious with attractive décor and beautiful views of the promenade. It's a versatile space that would work well for both date nights and larger group dinners. I come here frequently whenever I'm at MGM casino--probably the best restaurant in here, and they are open late, which is a huge benefit when hungry at night. Service is pretty good too. Overall, the food is good, not the best out there, but it's consistently good! For soups, Hot & Sour Soup, Oxtail Soup, Wonton Noodle Soup, Minced Beef Congee or Pork & Century Egg Congee are my top favorites. Delicious selection of Asian cuisines. My go to is usually the lo mein as it's so yummy eaten fresh! Ask about the oysters! When available they're PLUMP and deliciously yummy! We came before the dinner rush on a weekday and the casino's garage parking was easy. In cantonese fashion, the dishes were delicious. The menu is extensive and the service was friendly. Salt and pepper pork chop was incredibly crisp and seasoned well. I love the added crispy jalapeños and side of chilies. The garlic snow pea shoots is my personal favorite and I could've eaten that alone. Not pictured is chicken and salty fish fried rice to take home. It was loaded with chicken, very pungent, and filling. There's no doubt this place can get busy as it picked up toward the end of my visit. Wow so delicious! I requested a seat by the flowers instead of in the center of the dining hall, to our surprise the Asian waitress went to grab someone to seat us we thought because she didn't understand my request in English. Out came a black lady who didn't wear a smile or any welcome so we were taken aback from the drastic change in energy. Once she seated us and left our new waitress Song was THE SWEETEST. She wore a big hairstyle that gave the appeal of an Asian actress in a 70's Chinese/Korean drama. We loved her and she loved us. Later, she shared that the black lady was the manager which was nice to know...good for her it must not be easy. She wore a smile when she came back to visit our table. The menu online doesn't list their prices, so we were a bit surprised when we saw the menu prices listed. It's definitely a bit pricey. For example, some of the rice dishes run between $30-$50. Granted, it is enough for two or more people, so I guess you get your money's worth. I ordered the Tawainese braised noodle soup with the spring rolls as an appetizer. My boyfriend had the General Tso Shrimp with steamed broccoli on the side. He really enjoyed his food, but I thought my meal was alright. To begin, the presentation was very nice, but there was no taste, spice or seasoning. I had to ask for a side of chili oil just to doctor the dish up, and that helped a lot, but I was disappointed in the overall lack of flavor. The interior, though, is very nice and spacious. Shoutout to our waiter Dallas who was great. We had a few appetizer - potstickers and veggie spring rolls and then I had the General Tso's Shrimp and all were very good. Our server was either super busy or slow because we waited a while before being helped. At one point we had to a manager to get her for us. The food was okay. I had a reservation for Ginger and was very excited to try it! Upon checking in, I wasn't pleased with the small table given in the middle of the restaurant, and saw there was a booth available. I was told I couldn't have that booth because the person with a reservation after mine wants that booth. On the reservation site, there is no option to reserve booth vs table, so this was confusing. We were then sat on the other side of the restaurant. We waited for over 20 minutes to be greeted. We asked a random server if someone could assist us and someone told her to do it. She claimed she didn't know she was our server. Upon asking about various menu items, she told us the food is standard Chinese food. We were seated immediately and saw they had a fairly wide menu, with choices spanning multiple ethnicities. I think the prices were a little high but do understand it's the price you pay for eating in a major casino (yes, pun intended). Flavors were decent but not completely authentic in my opinion. My wife, son, and I ate family style, opting for the sichuan crispy spicy beef (probably the best of the three dishes we ordered but definitely not spicy), Singapore curry noodles (next best, but I've had much better), and Thai basil fried rice (definitely low end I think, and no spice at all). The mixed veggies came out with no Chinese broccoli and the cooks response when we sent it back was "we stopped putting Chinese broccoli in the mixed veggies". All the dishes tasted like they had forgotten salt or seasoning of any kind and it took 10 min for the waiter to come around again and ask for some at the table. The beef and vegetables I ordered had maybe 4 pieces of pepper and 4 pieces of onion, for a very large serving. I love the crab fried rice! I have also tried the sweet and sour chicken, spring rolls 10/10, jasmine tea and prawns. The service is good, fast and quick.
