At approximately, 7:30 p.m. June 4th 2020 I ordered $65.50 worth of food during a severe thunderstorm. Upon arrival at my residence, I noticed the french fries were missing and called the restuarant immediately. I spoke with a person who called themselves the manager and preceded to tell me to FU$K myself and the missing food! This is the second occurrence of food missing from the order! I am VERY picky about my Chinese food, especially being from NY, which I think has the BEST Chinese food of anywhere!! My test of a restaurant is their lo mein, & I'm usually disappointed...not with Eddy's! I ate here today for the 1st time & the seafood lo mein was different, tasty, and a great portion (not the usually poorly executed Chinese spaghetti other places serve.) I also had the chef's special "triple garlic," which was sweet & savory & full of meat & veggies, again something I haven't seen at any other restaurants around here, and it's only 2.1 miles from my new house! I have been coming to this place dir years. even before the who block was torn down and redone. Always have been good until a year or so ago. First when your trying to give them your order, you can't even get it out, your over talked and rushed. Most times really rude. The food quality has really gone down. I love General TSO chicken. But the chicken they use is really dry and over cooked. You can tell them not to over cooked the chicken and they will pretend ti agree and assure you they will not over cook it. But that's just to get your order and appease you. But you can bet it, when you pick up your food, it will be over cooked and dry and hard. Well Eddy's has been back in business at the rebuilt shopping center for over a year now. They still are bright and clean inside, the staff remains friendly. Food is ready pretty quickly. However, there are a couple changes - they stopped giving you free food items with purchases over $25-40 as shown in the menu in one of the photos another reviewer posted. Also the "spicy" options are more sweet than spicy. As a matter of fact my most recent order, Triple Garlic Special, was just plain sweet...even though the menu indicates it's spicy. The only way the dish could be sweet, given the ingredients, is if they added sugar to the sauce or mixture... a lot of sugar! In addition to the overall sweetness in a lot of the dishes (bad enough), there's a lack of consistency in their food. we usually order hot & sour soup....sometimes it's bland, other okay,occasionally very good, and once soooo spicy I couldn't eat it, it was just full of crushed red pepper flakes. Unfortunately, if you live in this area, there aren't any really good restaurants, so you either dative an hour to get a good meal, make it yourself, or lower your expectations. Since the remodel of the shopping center, this place has really taken off. I call my order in, and by the time I get there, it is ready. I live 7 miles away and have to pass another take out place closer to home, to get to Eddy's and do so gladly. The food is hot, tasty, prices are about what you expect. On weekends the place gets very busy, so I suggest calling your order in to minimize wait time at the counter. All in all,, a good place for good take-out. read more

Stopped by for a quick meal after fishing yesterday. Real fried rice!!!! With sprouts and onions!!! Chicken was hot and flavorful! I will come back to try the Chinese food here. This is my second time ordering here. Food was decent but not as described. I ordered Hunan Shrimp and the dish had no heat or spice as listed. Actually tasted like regular shrimp and broccoli. It also didn't have the veggies that was listed with the order either. They also forgot my spring rolls, so my husband had to drive back to get them. I heard great things about this place, prior to the remodel of the Osborne Shopping center. Unlike other Asian restaurants in the area, I found the food to be fresh and tasty. This is now my go to for local carryout cuisine in Upper Marlboro. Additionally, they tend to get a lot of business, especially during the weekend, so be prepared for a light wait time.
