    Trick or TREAT!!!

What's not to love about Edelweiss Chocolates? They've been around since 1942 and for good reason. It's a classic, comforting, must-see Beverly Hills experience. And service is always friendly and top notch. It feels like a real neighborhood store and something very special. I LOVE how they always decorate for the holidays and have holiday themed chocolates. Halloween is no exception and their cute decorations made me so happy. Love the Halloween themed chocolates. There are many different kinds of candies to choose from here. I love their chocolate marshmallow flavors and their truffles. My fave marshmallow flavor is the P.B. Mallow. And the French truffle is fantastic. They were Elizabeth Taylor's (the actress) favorite as well. Highly recommend. Parking garage right across the street or metered parking.

How many stores can boast being in Los Angeles since the 1940s, famous worldwide, a favorite of Hollywood royalty from the Golden Age to today, maintaining the same excellence that enabled it to thrive in Beverly Hills, of all places? Few! Edelweiss is one. I am a chocolate connoisseuse and have sampled the best in New York, San Francisco, Paris, and Brussels as well as many of the top confectionaries in Los Angeles. None of them present the wow factor that Edelweiss does, while offering exquisite handmade candy. Not since Manon (Leonidas) have I been as impressed with a purveyor of refined chocolate, even though I love (and have reviewed here), several others with deserved sterling reputations. One reason is the presentation. Look at my pictures -- who would not want to arrive somewhere bearing a gift like that! Whenever I want to treat someone really well, show them I care, while expressing my own aesthetic, I head to Edelweiss. It's worth it. Just being in the shoppe is like a dream vacation -- surrounded by loved ones, LOL. You don't need to settle for less, no matter where you are. You can get online and order for delivery or pick up the phone and they do all the rest. Think of reasons to treat someone you love and let Edelweiss work their magic for you.

It's been around for over 80 years and this is my first time in here! What a happy accident! The service was impeccable and friendly and a lot of eye candy wink wink. Just an adorable little store with a lot of tasty treats on the shelves and as you first walk in, you are overwhelmed with a sense of joy! It smells like a candy factory in there! All the good chocolatey, sweet scents to put a smile on anyone's face! I walked out with a bag of chocolate covered cherries, and a small box of assorted dark chocolates. The box of assorted chocolates did not last long! Most dark chocolate is pretty bitter tasting, but this was such a delight! You still get the health benefits of the dark chocolate, but not the bitterness. Very very impressed! Anything in this store would make a great gift! Decadent delights for all!

Was gifted a box of delicious chocolates and a bag of dark chocolate covered pretzels. It's amazing that the chocolate's still hand made. I love the Edelweiss' connection to Hollywood legends and the hilarious "I Love Lucy"conveyor belt episode. The chocolate is high quality and smoothly rich but expensive. A box of 13 pieces is about $38. I really enjoyed the chocolates with raspberry and strawberry. My humble bank account brings me to See's (which is a better value) but if you want to impress, get Edelweiss. I give Edelweiss an extra star for the booklet identifying each type of chocolate and since upon request they will let you see where Lucille Ball created a comedy classic.

Yummy chocolate! This hidden little store delivers on taste, service, and cute look. You walk inside and instantly greeted by the heavenly smell of chocolate! Every bite of the chocolates was perfection. I also bought a baggy of the sour patch belts. Highly recommend.

I was in Beverly Hills not because "that's where I want to be," but because I had to grab something from a business for a virtual event happening the next day. Gimme gimme, gimme gimme! I decided to knock off two Yelp bookmarks since I was already in the area, and one happened to be Edelweiss Chocolates. I had originally seen Edelweiss advertised in some Facebook or Instagram video, but I had completely forgotten that on the day I visited. I had no idea what I was in for, or that I most definitely could not leave the shop without at least one gourmet marshmallow. You can almost smell the chocolate through your mask outside as you approach this finely decorated chocolate shop. Once inside, there is chocolate everywhere you look. They've been around for over 75 years and everything is made from scratch and in-house. You can tell by looking at the chocolates, as they don't look mass-produced, but they also don't look like your mom just found her old chocolate fountain. One of the newer employees welcomed me and gave me a run down of their most popular items, since I had no idea what to buy. I ended up getting some of their most popular items, in both milk and dark chocolate. After carefully selecting the "best" looking chocolates (they all looked amazing), the employee carefully wrapped up my box and put it in one of their lovely red bags with gold trim, and included one of the foldable descriptions naming each of their chocolates. It almost looked too lovely to tear into later, but I didn't let that stop me. Even though I'm not a fan of marshmallow, their rose marshmallow was pretty good with dark chocolate. My favorite chocolates were the honeycomb dips, though. Chocolate covered honeycomb is food of the gods. The chocolate was so rich and smooth, and tasted unlike any I've tried before. If I ever find myself in Beverly Hills again, I would definitely come back to try some of their other items. These also make for great gifts.

My lawyer even suggested we sue when I realized a few days before our wedding that Ashley had shared ChatGPT'ed officiant guidance that was AI-hallucinated misinformation and thus meant we couldn't be legally married by our officiant at the ceremony. I had already been dissatisfied, frustrated, and furious from months of Ashley's messy work, but this was a new low. Eventually we did sort out the officiant mess (no thanks to Ashley), and wedding day itself ran relatively smoothly (credit where credit is due, Ashley is a good day-of coordinator). So why not drop it there and go off to enjoy married life? My main motivation in writing this review is that I do not want anyone else to have to endure the same stressful and infuriating experience that we had, planning what is meant to be such a joyful life event. From start to finish, working with Dreams in Detail was a nightmare. The first big problem we ran into was that Dreams in Detail misrepresents their practice as serving Las Vegas. We only realized this belatedly when Ashley knew not a single Las Vegas vendor, insisting on showing us LA-based vendors at 3x the cost even before exorbitant travel fees, like $1000 for a makeup trial. I fought with her for months about getting a local makeup artist who had experience with Asian clients (peak ridiculousness was her offering me the Instagram of a Korean makeup influencer based in Korea who was also not a bridal makeup artist) before I gave up and booked a friend of one of my friends. Ashley also missed our wedding venue walkthrough, which we had flown into town for. She blamed a flight delay, but ultimately the problem was that she was not Vegas-based and not capable of arranging her travel to ensure she was present; then she forced us to leave our tasting dinner mid-way to rush through a quick meeting with her, because she was unwilling to change her return flight to LA. Even though we were paying her handsomely to be our "luxury" event planner, it did not feel at all like we were the client being taken care of. Instead, we had to accommodate her. The final disastrous consequence of Ashley's total lack of familiarity with Vegas was of course the issue with the officiant ordination. She didn't know the local laws but pretended she did by passing off ChatGPT garbage as expert guidance, and then we were left unable to get legally married on wedding day. The biggest issue in hiring Ashley and DiD was that they were not local, but it was far from the only problem -- it was just the one that was hardest to make up for. Ironically given that the firm literally has "detail" in the name, Ashley is so NOT detail-oriented it makes me wonder about her choice to work as a wedding planner. In the final weeks leading up to the wedding, I was the one scrambling to ensure all details were considered and sorted -- redoing the schedule timeline and discovering key logistics gaps, procuring a vendor for supplies to handle an anomalous weather event, coordinating comms with the wedding party and all guests, and generally doing the job that Ashley was meant to do. If your goal in hiring someone who bills herself a "luxury event planner" and charges $15k to plan a one-day event is to have a premium experience where you can sit back and rest easy that someone is taking care of the details, you will be grievously disappointed.

Let's begin with the most important thing you must know - Teusher chocolates is the absolute James Bond of all chocolates. They are smooth, sophisticated and always ready to impress. A bold statement, but I stand by it. I have grabbed these for anniversary gifts, mother's day gifts, bday gifts and they never dissapoint. The shop itself is an absolute fairy and flowery wonderland of delights and imagination. The detail to their truffle boxes and assortments are incredible. I highly recommend their champagne truffles, however, in all fairness, any chocolate you get is a win for your taste buds. Their mocha hot drink is also rich and decadent in flavor, do not miss out on their beverages. Mr. & Mrs. Truffle and the staff are also just so kind and inviting. They are knowledgeable and patient, and helpful with recommendations. The shop along with the staff is just a warm place. It is not just a treat, it's a staple in the city. Their chocolate definately shows the experience that has been perfected for almost a century in Switzerland and has been serving the city for over 40 years. That says a lot!
