Parking is shared with Zion market and is in a structure. Royce is at the ground floor adjacent to Zion market. It's very bright and clean inside and all of their chocolates and treats are on display. Samples are available as well so do not be shy and ask! Service is pleasant. I stopped by to get a birthday gift for a girlfriend and had to get the nama chocolate which is their signature style. The chocolates must be kept below 55F and have the silkiest and richest taste! I walked in and passed a coffee shop, Paris baguette and some other small stores and I saw Royce. You can also sample some of their chocolates, they have a display of which kinds they have. I stopped by Royce to pick up a unique chocolate gift and was excited to check them out again after many years. I remembered their chocolates being amazing, and they definitely still live up to that. Ivory helped me during my visit, and she was great, super friendly, patient with all my questions, and really careful with how everything was packed. I ended up getting the Ghana bitters, hazelnut truffles, and champagne chocolate. Everything looks incredible. Just a heads up, some of their more delicate items do need to be refrigerated, but freezing them works if you need to travel with them for a bit. Royce Chocolate is a Japanese import specializing in premium chocolate, and they make incredibly high-quality chocolates that practically melt in your mouth. Try it for yourself! We were going to purchase the Strawberry Chocolate for him, but Michael informed us it contained 2% alcohol, which was a great heads-up! They are very kind and offer samples, which is how we ended up buying the Bar Chocolate "Nut" (12 pcs) for $23.99. Not the best life choice for someone prediabetic, but listen--balance. Chocolate is life. What really surprised me was the yogurt chocolate--the one you have to refrigerate. It had this creamy, slightly tangy thing going on that reminded me of Fruity Pebbles with white chocolate. I wasn't expecting to love it, but it stole the show. My boyfriend's coworker brought him a box of ROYCE' Ghana bitter Nama chocolates from Japan and he graciously shared them with me. I was immediately hooked and needed more. I was surprised to see that there were locations around the LA area, but that this location was the closest and newest to me! Shortly after the box was finished, we made our way to the store. Tucked in the corner of small shopping center was the store for delicious chocolates. I wasn't too interested in trying their other treats at this time and was only focused on the Nama Chocolates just because I loved their texture so much. The employees were super friendly and gave us samples of different ones. My boyfriend and I ended up buying 2 more Ghana bitter boxes and 1 champagne box (recommendation of the employee helping us). Both, he explained, were some of their best sellers. We decided to try the matcha as well but since it's a white chocolate, it was too sweet for us. The matcha flavor was also mild. I would have loved to try all of the flavors though! Maybe next time. It was also very nice of them to pack the chocolates in temperature sensitive packaging with cold packs to keep the cream-heavy chocolates from melting! Unbelievable chocolate that makes your mouth water. It's located right next to Zion market and looks so fancy once you enter. The employees are really nice and dressed to the T. The chocolate that need to refrigerated is top tier. It's pricey for chocolate until you have a bite and you go to heaven. It's almost like ice cream but dare I say better? You can freeze it and let it defrost and the texture will still stay the same. They pack your chocolate with an ice pack so it stays fresh for your drive home. Packaging is nice too. My top favorites were the milk and strawberry seasonal. Tastes like real strawberries! The milk chocolate caramel was out of this world though. Too bad I moved out of ktown, but I am willing to drive just to get more of these chocolates; they just melt in your mouth! They have free parking in the parking garage for a certain amount of time. You truly can't go wrong with any of their Nama Chocolates. They are an incredibly unique chocolate and truly melt in your mouth. We ended up getting the matcha Nama Chocolate, which had the most amazing and smooth matcha flavor. Found easy street parking but they also have 1 hour free parking in The Rise and also provide validation if you end up shopping at Zion Market. I went in for the Yelp Elite event and Royce has a fine and diverse selection of chocolates. The store is clean and not overwhelming with the item displays which is a nice contrast from other dessert stores that advertise very in much in your face. I sampled 8 chocolates and the store staff were very helpful and friendly. They explained the flavor profiles of each chocolate. My two favorites far and above were the matcha and strawberry flavors. The neat thing about Royce chocolate is that you have to keep it refrigerated to maintain its texture and I do believe that the texture is the best part.
