5/24/12 I've been to a few special events there and then I decided to try a Thai Herbal Compress massage with Akemi. It was a fantastic treat and really relaxed me. It was especially delightful for me as the sheets, table and room were sparkling clean. The massage therapist was/is highly skilled and really got my back to stretch out and unwind. Love this place! I had a wonderful experience and will be back. I went in for the clarifying facial. I was a new customer and received 20% off, which was awesome! The spa its self is clean, relaxing and beautifully decorated. I was nervous after reading some of the reviews about being over charged, but that was not my experience at all. I was offered add ons to my facial, but it was made very clear they they were not included in the facial, that is was an add on for an additional cost. Everyone who works there was so friendly and accommodating. The esthetician who helped me was wonderful, she explained what she was doing and gave me advice on things I could adjust or add to my daily routine. Great experience all around. read more

I come here about once a month for the acne facial because i struggle with my skin. Since i started coming here around 6 months ago my skin has improved a ton! I am used many of the spas in Marin, but after finishing a two-year work project and feeling exhausted, I needed real results. Kati put me under an evaluative machine they have and I could see how dehydrated my skin was. Actually, I looked a bit gray! I had one facial and have gone weekly for five weeks, with micro needling and a couple of plasma laser treatments. Kati cares and her methods are powerful. This spa has gone through some transition with regards to ownership and management in the last couple of years, but what I will dedicate this review to is AKEMI, the BEST massage therapist I've ever had! I've been getting deep tissue massages since I was in high school and have become a massage addict (is there such a thing?) eversince. I have very high expectations and have no patience for those who pretend they know "the spots" when they don't. And for the money I shell out, I expect for you to know exactly what you're doing. And boy, does Akemi know it! I may be digging my own grave by posting this now (and may have to wait weeks before I can see her again! Lol) but she deserves the recognition. I visited Eden Day Spa a few weeks ago and got the Dermio Oxygen facial & deep massage and it was by far the best experience I've had of any spa in Marin County. The boutique spa is run by owner, Lailee, and her staff go above and beyond to provide amazing service and the latest in skin care products. The masseuse was highly experienced, approachable, and ensured the environment was relaxing / comfortable. The massage was thorough and she pointed out areas I needed to focus on. The facial had multiple applications and the combination of the nano bed and oxygen mask was outstanding! This was the first mani/pedi I've had in 10+ years, and maybe the second in my life! I've had many body treatments in the last 40 years (massages of different kinds, facials, etc.) but I decided to test out the mani/pedi because the sign said ORGANIC, and I use natural and organic (non-chemical) products in my own home and our business (we run a Marin County Certified Eco-Green business). Gabby was very warm on the phone when I called. She was just as warm when I arrived. The Eden Day Spa is beautifully decorated with a clean elegance. Leah came to take me back to her very comfortable area and did a great job with my pedicure - discussing her knowledge of organic products and the techniques in which she's skilled. Even the water she brought me to drink was provided in a very beautiful etched glass. I loved her work. I enjoyed the entire experience and will be back soon to try one of Leah's detox body wrap treatments. That will be my gift to myself for my birthday next month. I am very impressed with the Eden Day Spa. I highly recommend the Eden Day Spa. Note thought it's not a place to go with friends to get mani/pedis together, as they do one person at a time. . . My skin was never bad but I didn't know what amazing potential it had until after my facial here! After my very first time I noticed a big improvement in my skin with its texture and pore size as well as my pigmentation. I had to write this review to share my recent experience at Eden Day Spa. First of all, the way I even heard about them was thru my friend who probably had the worst skin Ive ever seen who then transformed to skin that I was jealous of! I could not believe how the acne, crusty, red skin I always saw was now clear, blemish free, and just perfect. I asked her what she was doing and she told me that she started going to Eden and using the products they recommended. I gave them a shot so I went for my first visit in November 2019. Today I was in for my 4th time and did a Calming Facial with their Peel and LED. I I have to say that I really am so impressed. Even though my friend had much worse skin than I did, now I see how much of a major improvement I have in my skin. For the first time, I don't have to wear makeup on my face and feel good about it. I could get used to this! This evening when I got back to my apartment, I ran into my neighbor who actually asked me what I have been doing to my skin lately! I, of course shared my story and how I found out about them. It's funny how things work out because now she is going to set up her appointment to go! I am now totally addicted to this place and Im very satisfied with their super sweet staff, the awesome facials, and the best products I have ever used. read more

I went here for a pregnancy massage using a gift certificate. I had to lie on my side because they didn't have a pregnancy table. It was uncomfortable, and the massage did nothing for me. Went again for a facial last year and was treated so meanly by this Romanian(?) woman. She went over my face, criticizing every detail of my skin as she poked and prodded: "Look at these hairs! So many of them! You say you don't notice them?! Well, you will now!" Ok, so I'm not a regular spa-goer, but this is not exactly helpful esthetic advice. At the end she pushed a bunch 80$ products, essentially saying I'd be hopeless without them. I left mortified; later I wrote the salon to complain about my treatment and they never replied. I have visited this place multiple times and always have been unhappy. Why did I keep going back? Lazy, I guess. I finally stopped going. Here is my experience: - Very aggressive about pushing the product - very aggressive in general - always had to wait - always had different people working there Always felt bad when I left about the rude/pushy/ unpleasant customer experience. It is just not what I expect from a spa - or anywhere really. I was beyond disappointed this morning. The esthetician didn't show up! I'm sitting there waiting and the receptionist come up to me and asks how much longer I am willing to wait. First I'm told she was stuck in traffic an then the receptionist fessed up and said the esthetician forgot!!!!! Obviously I left there so disappointed and no one even called to apologize. I always looked past the weird decor and hard sell because at the end of the day they did a good job, they are a local business and seemed to care about their clients. I haven't gone back here for quite a while. I had purchased a bunch of half off gift certificates when it was under the original owners which seem to be the now current ones. Needless to say, they are still rotting in my place because I refuse to return. (Trying to use up said certificates, I went there a year or so ago and the waxer that was there through both owners waxed me - within a week I was in serious pain and on antibiotics after seeing my doctor - should have sent them the bill. I have never had an infection from waxing in 15+ years, and I have ripped it out myself at home since.) read more

I ordered a Jane Iredale product when I was in the Spa to be mailed to me in Washington (they said they would receive and mail it within the next day or two) My credit card was charged that day. The long and the short of the story - after over SEVEN follow calls to them, and numerous reasons from them as to why I had not received it, it is now almost 2 months later and I still have not received the product. I've been coming to Eden Day Spa for a couple of months now to get my face on track with my age. I'm 26 years old and I've always had this like/hate relationship with my skin. There will be that one day when I look in the mirror and I think "Okay-I can live with this", but I haven't had that moment where I'm thinking "Okay- I can LOVE this"...until I started to get my facials with Lori Ann. I was compelled to write a second review after a friend of mine recently told me that she would never spend the money for a massage or facial because she says, "You're there for an hour or two and your money is gone". I immediately challenged this thought and said, "You mean, like going to the bar, a restaurant or a casino?" Even she had to laugh! I would argue that taking advantage of the Eden's $85 program (which is a bargain, by the way, for so many reasons), will benefit you far more than any night at the bar, a restaurant or a casino. For me, I seem to have a greater sense of self and my surroundings. I am more careful about about the food I consume and the size of the portions (Believe me, that is a huge benefit that pays dividends in the long run, and especially as we age). I have more energy and I focus on more movement and flexibility throughout my day. I have a better nights sleep. This is a big bang for my buck, in my opinion. Think you'll feel this way after a night at the bar, restaurant or casino? You won't...trust me. I don't mean to bash fun and entertainment that also benefit the local communities. There is a place for them as well. The point is, if you haven't ever had a massage or even if you have or maybe it's been awhile, consider making an appointment with Rachel at Eden Day Spa. I am here to tell you, she is amazing! I can't remember when I have ever had a better massage, honestly. Not only does she have a pleasant and calming demeanor, but she listens to you and tailors the massage to your needs so that you get the maximum benefit. You might also consider a facial and make an appointment with Maribel. I don't remember the last time my skin looked this good or felt this clean and healthy. The products are top notch and Maribel takes the extra time to incorporate massage and cleansing of not only the face, but neck/shoulders. I learned today that the "Obaji" products I bought about 2 years ago were FAKE. And so-called "Dr Obaji" who visited the spa is NOT the original Dr. Obaji. Look out for the "Zo-skin" line, it is an imitation line. I went there to buy my regular Obaji products and was given a hard sell to buy Dr. Obaji's 'new line' and it was better...... That day I dropped $1500 for products and a procedure that I don't even remember what it was, I had trusted Katayoun and that's how I got so "taken". read more

I was using a gift certificate that was given to me last year, so it actually took me a year to come in. I am soooo glad I did. I chose the Skinceuticals facial and Andrea was AMAZING. Everything I can't stand about a facial. My Mom gave me a gift certificate for a particular facial. When I got there I got a "free skin analysis" where they told me how dehydrated my skin is and told me I needed a different kind of facial (more expensive). I told them I wanted the facial that I had booked and didn't want a different or more expensive facial. I was repeatedly told that the facial I had booked was not good for my skin (it was a clarifying facial vs. a hydrating facial). Finally, I was shamed (my fault!) into buying an add-on (hydrating mask) to the facial. Then, when it came time to apply the mask, I was given a detoxing mask because my skin was so congested and NOT a hydrating mask!! The best spas make you feel like you're improving an already beautiful/natural element of yourself. They don't make you feel sub-par and then get you to pay to improve yourself. Also, there were at least two occasions (while a mask or other serum was on my face) where the technician left the room instead of giving a hand or shoulder massage. This is not a dermatologist's office--it's a spa. For a $150 facial it should feel relaxing! Not..."This mask will be on 8 minutes" and then cue exit of the technician. read more

Love this place. I have the world's furriest face and Jackie does an amazing job removing hair through threading. It doesn't hurt and I'm not red afterwards. She also does an amazing bikini wax. I'm a regular for brow shape, lash dye, bikini and facial hair removal. Like many soon to come, I came here with a Groupon for an oxygen facial. Big mistake. The place is really creepy feeling, and absolutely freezing cold. (Apparently they don't turn the heat on in the morning.) It was so cold that I couldn't relax at all. The facial was supposed to be 90 minutes; it was 50. The esthetician did a so-so job, not very good on the extraction part, and seemed to be whipping through it ... along with pushing products. She couldn't answer any of my questions and looked and answered everything like a Stepford Wife. Really bizarre experience, and I feel sorry for the women that work there. read more

Stopped by spur of the moment today to see if I could get a massage. The receptionist checked the schedule and offered an appt an hour later, so I booked the appt. I arrived on time, the massage started on time. The spa has relocated to a space at the other end of San Anselmo Ave and is very clean, newly painted, calm, and nicely decorated. The massage table, sheets and blankets were clean, soft, and comfortable. My massage therapist, Richie, was very professional and gave me a very relaxing hot stone massage. I appreciated that no one tried to sell me any products, unlike some other spas I've been to. The price for the massage ($105) was fair given the nice decor, atmosphere, and quality of the massage.
